  • Never shot a .38 before. does it kick more or less than a 9mm?

  • Nice story... great gun. Thanks for sharing

  • does it have a hard kick back

  • By the way... for all you idiots complaining about the distance. It was at 7 yards, which is required when you shoot for the first time or bring a guest who has not shot at this range. Once the Rangemaster is comfortable with your shooting, the target can be pushed back. In these videos we had just started and my guest was a first timer at this range.

  • UPDATE: I was originally told by an "expert" that this was a .38 Chiefs Special. I recently did some research and learned this is actually a rare Smith & Wesson .38 Model 10 manufactured exclusively for the prestigious Policia de Investigaciones del Peru, the Peruvian equivalent to the FBI. The frame is marked with the Peruvian seal on the right side plate. I was surprised to learn that revolver is a collectors item and is worth somewhere around $1200.00.

  • smith & Wesson model 10??

  • favorite type of handgun :D

  • old school 38 snubs are better than new ones

  • got that same gun and the hollow points to go along with it shit will knock you off your feet

  • My grandpa was a Michigan State Police officer and had a service revolver just like that one. Nice Gun with a lot of kick in it.

  • @guitarmano8 His was probably a .357 magnum.

  • not really, standard .38 loads are probably less then the recoil of a 9mm

  • @LavaMountainKat different folks different folks some people are weaker than others so it's gonna have a harder recoil on a weak person

  • Hello - very nice gun!!! Has it had any trigger work done on it?? If not I must say you are doing a very nice job of staging it. I have a 642 air weight .38 special hammerless. I put only 100 rounds thru it for practice and I must say it is a difficult revolver to shoot accurately. I am thinking about having some trigger work done - or at least change out the springs to lighten up the pull poundage a bit. What do you think? Good videos. Thank you - been a long time. Sincerely,d JAMES.

  • this is the best weapon for personal personal protection, at least in my opnion

  • want one of these

  • Previous owner died at age 43? How'd that happen? o0

  • nice i have this gun went and shot it yesterday and it was a great gun

  • i got to shoot one of these babies 2day!

  • it is quite troublesome for police to use it. singapore police force used this gun for secondary weapon but they changed to .38 Taurus Model 85

  • @CplZhiKang what model smith is featured in the vid? thanks

  • Pretty good shooting with a short lil barrel, but it is all single-action. In combat you will most likely fire DA. How's it in DA??

  • Actually, double action is very accurate as well...

  • ncice gun i would like to get a gunlike that soon.

  • I have one with a 3in barrel.

  • I have no trouble with the sights...

The next time I shoot I will take note of my sight picture and reply.

  • I'd have to disagree with the accuracy thing. My father has owned his .38 snub for 15 years, and says "If your aiming at anything more than 5 feet away, your gonna miss."

  • Different shooter, different sights...

I have no trouble at all.

  • That's me shooting at 2:23 from 7 yards (21') with no trouble. The problem could be your father's gun.

  • bought a S&W 38 special snub USED today for $399. took some getting used to on the range. definitely not a target pistol.

  • Not a Chief Special, that is a 5-shot J-frame pistol. Your pistol holds 6 rounds and is probably a K-frame Model 10. Still a great gun, especially in the short barrel/round butt configuration.

  • Your right! It was a gift and when an "expert" looked at it he told me it was a Chiefs Special. Thank's for the correction. And yes... great gun! Very accurate iron sights.

Thanks again, I'll update the title and info.

  • al pacino´s revolver in the godfather

  • Yes... I heard they were moving into a new building but I have not been able to confirm yet.

  • Was this filmed @ Bullseye Range in St. Louis?

  • Yes

  • hey about how much does one of those run for?

  • Probably around $400.00 - $500.00 new... I am not exactly sure, this one was a gift.

  • Try $800.00 new!

You can get a used one for around how much you said... thats what I did and have no complaints! a beautiful gun with a wallop! Always wanted one since I was a kid...

  • I had no idea it was that much...

  • Nice gun dude I got model 45
