If you search for this video tittle (copy paste) in google images you'll see a pic of it - blue burst in the box - in a forum where a guy needs the tuners - I fuked one too but still does the job.
The active knobs are really nice so you control EQ. right in the bass. It's very easy to play but the controls are very delicate. Came with two knobs making bad contact with scratching annoyance. I had to open the wire box and tighten them with pliers.
Why do they always seem to get cowboys playing some muddy old bass line on the neck pickup? Fender does, Line 6 does it, this music shop does it. I am now enlightened that this bass has the ability to sound like any old thuddy bass from 50 years ago, but I'm none the wiser on how this bass actually sounds in any other context.
which one do you prefer guys american deluxe jazz bass or g&l l2000? money is no problem since they are for almost the same price. please give some reasons for your advice.
I have two of them. A sunburst '98 one and a black '07 fretless one. They sound very different. I myself prefer the older one with the 9V-electronics and the other tuners.
@TheUnnamed1313 It's not candy tangerine like Chris Wolstenholme, it's transparent/natural or something. If you look carefully you can see the wood through it. Candy tangerine is much more awesome than this :D
I love this bass in four string (I also have the sunburst model with rosewood fretboard), but I think the B is too wobbly on this model, so I've ordered a Marcus Miller V instead, which also has the nastiness of vintage pickups for low B latin grooves.
I own one. Not totally the same one.

i prefer the jazz bass. both of those basses are good though. the jazz just has more versatility in my opinion.
