i would so love to see this, when i first saw "grey garden's",three yrs ago, loved it,ALL MY FRIENDS HAD TO SEE IT,THEN,I BECAME A "EDIE" MYSELF,now a caretaker to 85yr old mom with dementia,it happened, and it's hard to be sane
i don't understand why this movie didn't go to the BIG screen , i am going to watch this movie for the 4th time today with my girlfriend , one of the best movies off 2009 ! thanx HBO & thanx Jessica & Drew
NIKKI I agree with u! jessica was superb, absolutely stunning. Drew convinced me but not a 100%!! I wonder who else should have played that part? Any idea, suggestions?? :-)
Oh god! get off your high horse and stop showing off! Drew was amazing! So was Christine Ebersole in the musical! And to compare the documentary to the movie is rediculous. I'd like to see you do a better performance...
People's choices don't necessarily denote failure. There were huge benefits to both of these woman's choices, as well as huge losses.
But either way, both chose to stay where they were. Big Eddie was certainly manipulative and highly abusive, but little Eddie refused to grow up despite given chances. Both of these woman's lives, like everyone else', are not dependent solely on one person but on the individual choices they made.
Wow! Just Wow! Well done everybody. This could've been such a turkey but they pulled it off. A rarity for sure. Love Lange and Barrymore and everyone who worked so perfectly to make this so unique and real.
{tear tear}...=[ I truly want to see this movie but i dont have cable to see HBO!... I Really Really hope someones posts it on YouTube... if anyone does PLEASE let me know!...thanx!...
i got to see a special screening of the movie here in la today. I have to say they did a great job! they were very tender of the portrayal of both edies.... in the end you dont blame the mother or little edie... they both needed each other... i loved it...
did it show how critical big edie was to little edie? i have heard wonderful things and wish this was a motion picture on the big screen. it should be.

Why didn't Drew shave off her eyebrows if she is suddenly so committed to being taken seriously as an artist? And that accent she took a year and a half to master? What is that from Pluto? I hope she hasn't cocked it up.
Hi guys... anybody knows where I can watch the movie pleasssssseeeeeeeeee...

Drew wasn't that amazing, watch the real little Edie and watch Drew again, she was good but not that good
the make-up artists got Edie/Drews eyes wrong and they didn't age her skin enough I think

Drew Barrymore blew me away in this role. Beyond perfection. Bravo.

I think it was Big Edie's fault why Little Edie failed in life.

She gets the accent pretty bang on, have you not seen the original documentary?
kerrie1234567890 2 years ago
Yes I have, I don't know she seems a bit Rain Man in her delivery.

I will give you that.

I've got to say, when I first heard Drew Barrymore as Little Edie, I was worried, but.. I don't know, I think this might be better than I thought!

I love the way Jessica Lange says, "Extraordinary" and 'tremendous".
