"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me down to die, through pastures green He leadeth me the silent waters by. With bright knives He releaseth my soul. He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places. He converteth me to lamb cutlets. For lo He hath great power, and great hunger. When cometh the day we lowly ones, through quiet reflection, and great dedication, master the art of Karate. Lo, we shall rise up. And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water."
I know you may get alot of mislead guidance with music nowadays.
but let me direct you to my channel. you like floyd? youll like us. love hendrix? youll love us. Give my channel a chance. trust me youve got nothing to loose and a new great psychedelic band to gain. Promise.
Wow!!! does this bring back memories.Last row,in the nose-bleed seats at South Phillys Spectrum. After the opening song "Sheep",my brother and I found 2 seats on the floor maybe 20 rows back,a little left of the stage. What a HUGE difference that made with the visuals and the quad sound system. After some 800+ concerts attended,to this day still in my top 2 shows of all time.
The '77 Floyd tour was so utterly amazing, the best of theirs I ever saw. Only two albums were done, first "Animals", in a different sequence than the album, followed by a break, then "Wish You Were Here", in order, expanded and improvised in sections that were breathtaking. The Cleveland show is legendary. 100, 000 people in attendance and something those of us who were there will thank god for to the end of their days.
This tour, July 2, 1977 in New York was my third Floyd show, and the first one that was ever really right MUSICALLY. They always did need a second guitarist, and having Snowy along finally put things right. Listen to boots of DSM and WYWH shows, and it bears this out. This show WAS indeed rockin'. Very powerful.
Unfortunately the images are not the sync and they combined with images from other songs...but afterall the live sound is what matters the most....and the pig flown....
i saw this tour in 1977 at anaheim stadium and again in 94 at the rose bowl, this was my first ever concert and my favorie ever floyd was the most amazing live ever!
The original Pink Floyd in the 70s...I can barely even wrap my head around what that would have been like to see live. Especially when you look at the awesome shows Gilmour puts on these days, and then remember that Gilmour was only 25% of this band!
david has the best live tone of any guitarist to dat.... even when he has the distirtion, reverb all the way up it still sounds so frickin clean, you can always tell the exact rythm his picking hand is following... if i learned i was going to die tommorow and had a time machine this exact concert is where i would go....
Pafemo: Thanks a million for these amazing videos. You're an artist and very generous for sharing them. I DO LOVE PINK FLOYD! so this is honey to me. Are you from Chile? I'm from Colombia and saw Waters here in Bogota, then in Sao Paolo and then in NY.
Gracias rolennon. Abs.
Yes, it's that! I have this bootleg! Its name is "Pink Floyd 8mm" and you have set them together so it be a complete video. It's just samples of concerts from 1972, 1975 & 1977.
1:16 is Anaheim Stadium 1:32 - Stadthalle Vinnea, 1:40 - Anaheim Stadium (but from the song Pigs (Three Different Ones)), 1:53 - Olympiahalle Munich, 1:58 - Anaheim Stadium again, 2:14 - Pictures used in the Munich footage at the "Pink Floyd 8mm" video, 2:28 - Stadthalle Vienna (but it can also be Olympiahalle, I have watch the 4-min. Anaheim Stadium footage very much). 2:41 - Anaheim Stadium, 2:44 - Munich, 3:40 - Stadthalle Vienna
4:07 - Munich, 4:26 - Stadthalle Vienna, 5:01 - Munich, 5:15 is a video often used in Pink Floyd videos at Youtube. I didn't know what the name of that video is, so if someone know it, please tell me.
I would really like to answer the 2 guys who dislike this masterpiece: what the fucking hell do you live for?

The lyrics on Animals are fantastic, and ominously dark. Waters at the height of his truly great and inspired lyrics.
