In Vasquez's website, he said Nick wanted wanted to give it another chance, but it was shelved. Vasquez said there will be a SMALL chance of it MIGHT get a reboot... so there is a little hope...

the creators said that one of the reasons they took it off because of the lack of viewers.
nick,in my opinion, should of kept this on longer because i don't think that they gave it time to really get fans. if you look at the fans now, and all the shirts and stuff that they are selling, this show could have been a lot more successful, and i also think they should release it to someone else, because it would make so many people happy
i loved invader zim as a kid! i was only in 1st grade, but i thought the darkness was cool. watching it now, i appreciate its critisicm of human nature/living. it never disturbed me or my 4 year old brother...

The show to me was funny sometimes. Otherwise it was too random and kind of creepy. I mean if were 5 I'd get creeped out and the funny thing is ... I watch horror movies all the time when I was 5. Plus as always, this is a fanboy/girl favorite. That is partially wrong because it comes on late on fridays now but I agree that it should have been on a different channel where it would have worked better.I do love Invader Zim and never miss it on fridays but with no new episodes being made fanrates are decling,except for the ones that are going a little crazy trying to get zim back.Personally I would rather read a fanfiction about invader Zim than the show.

Invade Zim came out about a month after I had turned 6. I saw every episode that came out the first season. When it came back this year and I watched it again, I had just realized how messed up it really was, lol. It's really not that bad though. Usually, unless it has to do with language, a child will have no idea what's going on. But still, if my parents had known I was watching it they probably wouldn't let me anymore
The funny thing is, we started a petition, it came back for one month in march as a test to see if people will watch it, and came back for good later on. I watch it all the time now :D
The truth is, there wont be any new episodes since Vasquez made up his mind, and when he does make up his mind, its set for good.
I feel as though I'm the only person who can't stand this show. In fact I downright hate it to this day. Back when it was on television I was always watching Outlaw Star. Points to you if you remember what that was.

Zim got a reboot, but I believe that it has more of an appeal to older kids, like kids 12 and up, while nicktoons network itself probably appeals to children 10 and under.
I love invader zim though, witch is why im just glad its rarely showing on nicktoons network and not to be rude but im just glad it was created even though it didnt fit
I don't know as a kid I didn't think it was one of the best shows compared to the other shows at the time. However compared to -NOW- It's definately up there as one of the best compared to the overall fail shows that exists on formely great cartoon shows.
I disagree about the adult swim thing. Even though Invader Zim was darker and edgier than most "kids" cartoons at the time. I don't really imagine adults watching it. Its fanbase is mainly 12-17. I think it should be on Cartoon Network. They don't care if its dark. They air CARTOONS (or well they used to)

So, what you're saying is, Nickelodeon wants to appeal only to five year old kids and nothing more. Don't get me wrong, I like the old Spongebob episodes and Fairly OddParents, but it would be nice to see more serious shows like Zim, Avatar, and Danny Phantom.

acually pieguy; jhonen vasquez said on a blog he's willing to make new IZ eps. and nickelodeon too! there wil be an invader zim greatest moments dvd releasing on 2/22/11. if they get enough buys, we get invader zim back!!!! and im a HUGE fan of u and iz!!! :3

Dude, you might want to remove this. I am in operation head pigeons and nick actually told us that if enough people buy the new DVD they will renew the series. I know this sounds like a rumor, BUT ITS TRUE! Just look up Operation Head Pigeons on facebook.

That is partially wrong because it comes on late on fridays now but I agree that it should have been on a different channel where it would have worked better.I do love Invader Zim and never miss it on fridays but with no new episodes being made fanrates are decling,except for the ones that are going a little crazy trying to get zim back.Personally I would rather read a fanfiction about invader Zim than the show.

i loved that show and was raised on that show along with the grim adventures of billy and mandy, and courage the cowardly dog.
all the shows where dark and close to being over the top of darkness but not enough for people to get rid of it. i think zom was taken off because of whiney little soccer moms thinking its too dark, its got a rating, change the channel if you don't want your kid watching it.
im just ranomly throwing this out there

Invade Zim came out about a month after I had turned 6. I saw every episode that came out the first season. When it came back this year and I watched it again, I had just realized how messed up it really was, lol. It's really not that bad though. Usually, unless it has to do with language, a child will have no idea what's going on. But still, if my parents had known I was watching it they probably wouldn't let me anymore

The funny thing is, we started a petition, it came back for one month in march as a test to see if people will watch it, and came back for good later on. I watch it all the time now :D
The truth is, there wont be any new episodes since Vasquez made up his mind, and when he does make up his mind, its set for good.

the time it was on tv i was afraid of it and i thought it was real because i was 3/4. then when i was about 9 it became my fave show when it was on nictoons network but stil it got off...got on...got off...and now its on but they tease us with reruns. and the creator of iz has some innapropriate dark stuff like the comic johnny the homicital maniac which i liked but it was dark and more darker then iz but still, u no, they should of waited a few years 2 put it on nick or watever.

Zim got a reboot, but I believe that it has more of an appeal to older kids, like kids 12 and up, while nicktoons network itself probably appeals to children 10 and under.

I don't know as a kid I didn't think it was one of the best shows compared to the other shows at the time. However compared to -NOW- It's definately up there as one of the best compared to the overall fail shows that exists on formely great cartoon shows.

I disagree about the adult swim thing. Even though Invader Zim was darker and edgier than most "kids" cartoons at the time. I don't really imagine adults watching it. Its fanbase is mainly 12-17. I think it should be on Cartoon Network. They don't care if its dark. They air CARTOONS (or well they used to)
