  • Dude they need a way bigger tank just sayin but nice fish i have two channel catfish to

  • bigger tank

  • @antifreindly Alright, try to fix that or something sometime if you maybe can haha

  • @antifreindly Also, try to get a vid up of your cat. I wanna see how he's doing :D

  • @antifreindly Yeah that will get to be a problem really fast. Not only will your goldfish die, but they are extraordinarly bad for other fish to consume due to goldfish and rosy minnows and such are very fatty and have a certain protein (or some protein or lipid or something) that causes a decrease in vitamin B, which can lead to fatal disease in your fish...and yeah, you might introduce snails in the pond...like get pond snails, and they reproduce crazy fast and then you have a lot of livefood

  • @antifreindly and I actually just calculated how big your pond is. acording to your mesurements you have a 360 gallon pond. as a gallon take up 6x6x6 inch cube, and 60 inches times 36 times 36 equals 77,760. Then take 216 (volume of cube) and divide 77,760 with 216. You get 360...so unless I have something confused I think your pond is much bigger than you say it is...

  • @antifreindly yeah, liver should work...though i am not so sure...it might pollute the water quickly as the bits of liver peel off...I'd use it lightly and supplement with other foods.

  • @antifreindly 5 x 5 x 3? that sounds a lot bigger than 150 gallons...yeah, post a video of the catfish you have right now. I'll see how your cat is doing...I would suggest feeding lots of little frozen meat cubes that you can buy at pet stores in the frozen isle. I'd get beefheart (feed sparingly, once or twice a week), bloodworms (good staple feed often), and spirinula enhanced mysis (or brine) shrimp. this of course is an ideal diet. pellets should be fine, and maybe put in a live bug

  • @antifreindly Hmmm...I admire what you did for rescueing the catfish, but you realize that you just got a big responsibility. How long/wide is the 150? These guys get 3 feet+ so you might cramp one of these monsters in even that. However, you might be lucky. It might not be a flathead, which can get to be over 100 pounds. You might have a brown bullhead, which only get about a foot long. It will be hard to ID the catfish until he gets bigger. The caves are good. If you can, get some hornwart

  • @antifreindly Rescued? How so? Its illegal to keep fish from the wild without a permit you know. but don't release it. thats also illegal. get the temp to 76. he won't eat if he is too hot. and get an airtube in, it will also increase his appetite. how long has the tank been up? how many fish are in the tank? do you have plants in the tank? how often do you change what percent of water? you'll likely need a much bigger tank. and what about the catfish in the 20 gal that this vid is about?

  • @antifreindly I would suggest firstly (although too late) do research on your fish before you buy them. Secondly, they are nocturnal so its fine. Your water temp should be about 75...maybe cooler. You should feed a diet of live ghost shrimp (after gut loading with food) live mealworms (baitshop worms might have pesticides or herbicides, and same goes with worms right out of soil, so don't use those), and frozen packets of fish food and pellets. but you need a tank at least of 70 gallons. NOW.

  • haha i havone of these in a six gallon, bigmistake?

  • might want a bigger tank or to return it where you found it

  • dont catfish grow till there tank is getting uncomfortable and then they stop growing??? is that true?? if so how is that tank in any way to small??

  • @modernwarfare456 NO! NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! THIS IS BY NO MEANS TRUE! I am a fish hobbyist of over 10 years, and fish will grow, and grow, and grow, until they die from being unable to get adaquate room to move in a fishtank. Furthermore, you should always research the max size of the fish and the PH the fish needs, how hard/soft the water needs to be, and temp. and such. Do your research, fool.

  • Put some play sand in there. How would you like to walk on rocks barefoot? And get WAYYYYYYYYY bigger tank. Those things will need a POND.

This fish are cool... but you're not.

  • omg hes gonna be bumping his head soon..they gro about 7-10 inches a year if fed right and water is good..Thats torture!

  • That tank is way too small for those big catfish.

  • thebettakeeper, do u mean the channels will eat the albino cory's?

  • Can channel catfish be kept with albino corys? I'm presuming that they'll be eaten right?

  • @TheBettaKeeper No, i have a cory catfish with a channel catfish and the only thing that might happen is it getting its tail nipped on but other than that i never had any problems.

  • mighty shithole tank

  • You should get a larger tank for your fish. They are only going to get bigger.

  • i had a channel cat in my 55 gal . It grew to 15'' and clouded up my water all the time. He now lives in the lake where he belongs.

  • As long as they ain't blues u might hv a while, blues grow fast!

  • i have one of these in my 55 gallon and its really small.

  • @hobomagic1 maybe a bullhead of some sort, not channel cats. they get too big

  • nice video i have an 2" albino channel catfish in my 85 gallon tank

  • sweet fish but upgrade to atleast a 55 gallon soon as you can i have a 10 inch cat i got when he was about 4in and he has been in my 55 gallon tank with two crrek chubs lol nice fish tho mine is lazy and lays in a log

  • would one 6 in. channel cat and a 6 in. largemouth bass be happy in a 12 gall. tank

  • no, they will need a 70 gal as a minimum

  • now the outgrow it you fucking bitch

  • hey wats the diff between male and female channel cat?? i got 2 of em and thats the reason im asking lol nice vid by the way
