Now I can see how it would be good for a person with organic brain syndrome or some kind of thing like that who is institutionalized and not going to put themselves in harms way in public with such a thing. However, for a "normal" person to do this out in public is kinda on the edge.

Check out my reborns..been doing it for 5 years..type in "Tippy Toes Reborns" on youtube. It's not morbid to have a reborn doll..they dont look dead..they look like sleeping babies or very much alive babies. They are collectibles..like coins, plates or GI Joes...they are not for children. There is too much work put into them for play. Check them out with an open mind..and please dont belittle people who find them interesting.

Didnt mean to offend you for making them, I was just saying I have seen people with dolls who take them everywhere and treat them like babies as they are not able to have live babies. I even had one client who miscarried a child at 6mos gestation and she kept it in a box and then dressed it up and put it in a buggy and took photos of it. She WAS definately unbalanced..

I'm a nurse too and though this could be a method to drive some traumatized people crazy it's also a good method to treat loneliness in senior citizens. They love to hold a doll like the ones I make and in most cases it works as good as having a pet, which is great since some nursing homes do not allow pets in their facilities. I myself am working on a doll for my husband's grandmother who's in a nursing home.

I am not a BREEDER but some folks get psychotic over dolls and thinks they are alive and that is nuts. An Adult taking a doll around like its alive is a person who needs to get counseling. My motherinlaw knows a person who is like that and that woman was turned down for mental problems to adopt a live child and has a doll she drags around. So i think u need to get real. I dont like breeders either who have their own socker team. FYI i have one son.

This is a market directed to doll collectionists. Some movie makers also buy these kind of dolls to film scenes where they need a stunt baby (a dummy in this case) and speaking of dummies, they'are also good to test car seats as their weight is distibuted as real babies. Don't think is morbid, I myself got into this b/c I suffer from pediophobia (or phobia to dolls) and this kind of works as a therapy. Thanks for your interest.
