From Portal to Tumblr to Photoshop to Final Cut Pro to most likely ARMA II (I have to dual boot my Mac first), Macs are all-around good computers for people who decide to not bitch about which OS is the best. In fact, I love Windows. I've used it for over 12 years. I just prefer Mac for its simplicity and just better user-interface. Sure, Windows can run a lot more games; Mac can do the same thing once you dual boot it.

And for the high end gaming computers, they don't even exist for mac.

Also, boot camp is only slow when you try to run them simultaneously, but if you run them natively they work great. Also, hardware on a mac is more reliable then say, gateway, Dell, and a few others. i got a macbook pro, its stopped working, got it replaced, got that one replaced, got it replaced again ( thats 4 laptops), and after that one stopped working i traded it for a quarter of headies(which were not worth the $2500 initial investment, but was worth the piece of shit hardware i had sitting on my floor).

okay... something I don't understand... a windows based laptop can be 2, 3, 4, even 5 times cheaper (although then your prolly getting into 2nd hand laptops) and most of them, have a webcam... most of them can run office, even open office... the only thing different is the operating system... and according to latest nationalvulnerabilities(dot)com the Mac OS has more flaws in uts security than windows 7...
plus, every non apple laptop looks different to another, unlike macbooks. personality

@williamiswill Hardware wise Mac IS overpriced. Last time I checked, we were getting a laptop for a friend and we compared the hardware. The mac almost had double the price for the same hardware.
Anyway, if you're mainly buying a computer to play games, macs are bad. If you're looking for a computer that can also run games, a mac isn't bad.
And for the high end gaming computers, they don't even exist for mac.

@williamiswill My reasoning is one, your stuff is very over priced, and running games on a Macbook pro even using bootcamp you still get shitty performance in comparison to windows computers in the same price range. You obviously have no clue how good graphics cards are for the price range. On the Macbook pro you get shitty graphics card(for the price) for $2500! and awful integrated graphics for anything less then 1800! P.s My Mac froze all the time with that spinning wheel and was slow.

@xqSoccer well if your mac is slow, you purposely got a slow one, if you wan't a fast one either, get a faster mac, or 2 GET A FASTER MAC. Also, if you hate your graphics cards, buy some new ones and install them, hate your hard drive, INSTALL A NEW ONE. Also, boot camp is only slow when you try to run them simultaneously, but if you run them natively they work great. Also, hardware on a mac is more reliable then say, gateway, Dell, and a few others. ALSO your whole argument is based on graphics
