The Old Testament law is not the covenant that we, as Christians, are under. The new Covenant ( The New Testament) is the covenant of Grace. So, instead of offering out of context biblical references (that do not apply)...rather encourage, in love, that God is a graceful and merciful God and that if you believe in Jesus Christ all of your sins are forgiven ( whether it be a stripper, adulterer, or theif...the point is it does not mater).besides lets leave the judging to God...and LOVE each other

All religion really is, is the beliefs such as origin of the world (eg. creation v. evolution), who people are (eg. just another animal, or created in the image of God) , morality (eg. are there morals, if so what are they), meaning (eg. does life have a purpose, what is it?), and destiny (what happens after death if anything at all). Everyone has a belief on these things. Religion and Humans are inseparable, no one believes nothing.
Well duh, of course it is impossible to follow Christian rules, even Christians admit that. The whole point of the law given in exodus was to show Israel (and the rest of the world) that they had a problem. This problem: You aint perfect .:. you can't go to heaven unless you have a savior. That is the whole point of Christianity, admitting that your a sinner and trusting Jesus to pay for you sins so you don't have to.
A few quick things: the old covenant, the law, given to the Hebrews was designed to show them the holiness of God and our own shortcomings. They had complex rules and customs designed to reinvigorate themselves to God after having lived apart from Him for so long in captivity. The new covenant gives us freedom from the law, God, having already demonstrated His holiness, now demonstrates His redeeming love through the new covenant. We are no longer bound by the law--we dont kill for work on Sun.
You see, The problem with what you are saying is that you are not interpreting the verse you are refering to in the full context. This verse applies to God's covenant people namely, Israel at that time it was written. Why do you think it applies to all Christians everywhere? Christians are not governed with the same government as Israel... So what that God commanded his people to put to death those who worked on Sunday? Do you disagree with God's ways? Can you prove that God did not say that?

It's not sunday... It's saterday. That was the jewish sabbath. And it was a law for the Jews. Gentials (Anyone non-jewish) who become christian are not required to obey the Jewish laws in the Tora. (First five books of bible) However the laws that still have relavence today should be observed and considered and followed. The point of the sabbath is to set one day aside every week and totally devote it to God. This should be followed by every christian.

Exodus 35:2 falls within the first 5 books of the 'Christian Bible' but are better know as the 'Torah' or "law" (hebrew translation). its not saying that SUNDAY is the sabbath it is saying that the 7th day is the sabbath. Meaning, each person should take one day out of those 7 days to rest. From :27 - :32, you're looking at the Scripture from a Jewish standpoint, who says that the Sabboth is on a Saturday or Sunday? From a Christian standpoint, the Sabboth is everyday, which means to live for God 7 days a week, not just on the day one goes to church. The Sabboth to a Christian does not have to do with literal, physical work.

4) The verse says "should" emphasizing it could have been a hypothetical situation. If you ever read a verse where this actually happened, please point this out to me. All I'm getting as of now is the should action, that could have many different interpretations, one of them being that they were simply emphasizing the importance of keeping the Sabbath holy.
2) No one is perfect. That is why Jesus came to come and die for us. We all understand that it is inherently impossible for humans to be able to follow all the laws that God has provided us. Our job is only to worry about living the best life possible under the salvation of Jesus Christ. This means there is no reason to worry about a hypothetical perfect life under our own control.

The old promise of Moses' day followed the laws of capital punishment and such, because at the time there was no Jesus. New Testament comes around, which means New Promise, we no longer have to worry about the things in the Old Promise, because the Jesus Christ our Savior has set the bounds for yet a new promise.

The NEW Testament is a New promise from God in which he decided to send his one and only Son so that we might be saved from sin. This does not imply however that he is imperfect, because we must first be consumed by sin in order for God to actually realize that there is help required of us.
Now, if we accept that God made us a new promise in the New Testament through his son Jesus Christ, then we must also accept the new terms that come with this promise. Some of these include, forgiveness of our sins without having to sacrifice the animal, interaction with the Holy Spirit, and capital punishment as was mentioned right now. Without new terms for the new promise, why would Jesus have died?
This applies directly back to the concept of capital punishment, as the 'fear' of capital punishment is no longer needed, for the everlasting Lamb of God has already come to save us of our sins.
Oh and by the way, the.... Old Testament isn't a gospel...

Under the old Jewish law, in that culture, this was the law. The laws of Exodus were not written to be applied today, but they do give insight into God's heart. It is a commandment to honor the sabbath and keep it holy, but if you look at all the scriptures referencing this, it can be argued that God really wants people to stop and rest, at least one full day a week. In their culture that was the sabbath.

The Old Testament law is not the covenant that we, as Christians, are under. The new Covenant ( The New Testament) is the covenant of Grace. A few quick things: the old covenant, the law, given to the Hebrews was designed to show them the holiness of God and our own shortcomings. They had complex rules and customs designed to reinvigorate themselves to God after having lived apart from Him for so long in captivity. The new covenant gives us freedom from the law, God, having already demonstrated His holiness, now demonstrates His redeeming love through the new covenant. We are no longer bound by the law--we dont kill for work on Sun.

You see, The problem with what you are saying is that you are not interpreting the verse you are refering to in the full context. This verse applies to God's covenant people namely, Israel at that time it was written. Why do you think it applies to all Christians everywhere? The bible is clear and very simple to understand. The problem is when you dont read the full context but take verses out of the context and try to make them say things they were never meant to say. Cops couldn't protect against crime, Hospitals couldn't help injured of sick people, restaurants and grocery stores couldn't be open, so people would go hungry. It's not sunday... It's saterday. That was the jewish sabbath. And it was a law for the Jews. Gentials (Anyone non-jewish) who become christian are not required to obey the Jewish laws in the Tora. (First five books of bible) However the laws that still have relavence today should be observed and considered and followed. The point of the sabbath is to set one day aside every week and totally devote it to God. This should be followed by every christian.

Exodus 35:2 falls within the first 5 books of the 'Christian Bible' but are better know as the 'Torah' or "law" (hebrew translation). its not saying that SUNDAY is the sabbath it is saying that the 7th day is the sabbath. Meaning, each person should take one day out of those 7 days to rest. Thats why there is a saying "working yourself to death" meaning that if you dont take time out to rest thats what will happen, maybe not in the literally, but metaphorically maybe I dont know. I think people take certain things to literal while other things that should be taken literally they ignore. Its more things to worry about!

From :27 - :32, you're looking at the Scripture from a Jewish standpoint, who says that the Sabboth is on a Saturday or Sunday? From a Christian standpoint, the Sabboth is everyday, which means to live for God 7 days a week, not just on the day one goes to church. 3) Captial punishment was of normal means in those days. All cultures accepted capital punishment as a means of fair punishment.
4) The verse says "should" emphasizing it could have been a hypothetical situation. If you ever read a verse where this actually happened, please point this out to me. All I'm getting as of now is the should action, that could have many different interpretations, one of them being that they were simply emphasizing the importance of keeping the Sabbath holy.

2) No one is perfect. That is why Jesus came to come and die for us. We all understand that it is inherently impossible for humans to be able to follow all the laws that God has provided us. Our job is only to worry about living the best life possible under the salvation of Jesus Christ. This means there is no reason to worry about a hypothetical perfect life under our own control.

Are you serious? Nobody knows the answer to this one??? Hey BlueMustang let me break it down for you. 1) Exodus is from the Old Testament. What does that mean? That means Old Promise. The old promise of Moses' day followed the laws of capital punishment and such, because at the time there was no Jesus. New Testament comes around, which means New Promise, we no longer have to worry about the things in the Old Promise, because the Jesus Christ our Savior has set the bounds for yet a new promise.

This is just a blatant lie. The New Testament was supposed to add to The Old Testament. And God is perfect, and his word must be perfect. Either you believe it or you don't. Don't cherry-pick between the gospels, then what's the point with the Bible at all?!

Lol... If you might have actually read my comment you would have read how I explained this. Cherry picking? I think not. Let me explain. The NEW Testament is a New promise from God in which he decided to send his one and only Son so that we might be saved from sin. This does not imply however that he is imperfect, because we must first be consumed by sin in order for God to actually realize that there is help required of us.

Now, if we accept that God made us a new promise in the New Testament through his son Jesus Christ, then we must also accept the new terms that come with this promise. Some of these include, forgiveness of our sins without having to sacrifice the animal, interaction with the Holy Spirit, and capital punishment as was mentioned right now. Without new terms for the new promise, why would Jesus have died?

This applies directly back to the concept of capital punishment, as the 'fear' of capital punishment is no longer needed, for the everlasting Lamb of God has already come to save us of our sins.
Oh and by the way, the.... Old Testament isn't a gospel...

If this were true, then why do we not sacrifice animals AND pray to Jesus? Lol, in other words I believe all of it is real, its just what I practice is based upon the new promise that God has made, not the one of old.

Under the old Jewish law, in that culture, this was the law. The laws of Exodus were not written to be applied today, but they do give insight into God's heart. It is a commandment to honor the sabbath and keep it holy, but if you look at all the scriptures referencing this, it can be argued that God really wants people to stop and rest, at least one full day a week. In their culture that was the sabbath.

your vid is part right, working on the sabbath is punishable by death, however the sabbath is on saturday not sunday. the Christians moved the date that was apparently set by god.

im not a christian anymore. but i used to be. and the bible refers to that in the old testament, in the laws of the old testmament. when jesus came and died the new testament says jesus abolished the law. thus making that not working on sunday no longer something people needed to follow. but like i said im no longer a christian. just saying

Gods law is perfect.
A perfect law always applies, hence it's perfection.
Therefore a perfect law needs no updates, for it is perfect.
An updated law is either imperfect or was imperfect to begin with.
Either one or the other is not gods law.
If the first is not gods law then, most likely, the second isn't either, since it is an update of the first.
If the second is not gods law then christians are heretics.
