I still don't understand why the jedi commanders with their clone units didn't foresee their trickery and following of order 66, or at least see when they were being turned on to use mind tricks so they could escape. George Lucas himself has said that people shouldn't think Luke is the Chosen One after all. Anakin was the Chosen One and he DID bring the the balance by destroying the Sith. Why do people try to make Luke something he wasn't?! When Qui-Gon said "train the boy", he meant Anakin.
I think QUI GON new that anakin was going to become a sith because he said treain the boy; butt he never seaid it was anakin so he was refearing to luke.
i dont understand why there is this debate amungst people about why qui gon wanted anakin trained. qui gon says knows that anakin is the chosen one, and no matter what harm it may bring he must be trained as he is the only one who can bring balance to the force. if he is not trained then it would never end.
However both Qui.Gon and Schinder felt anguish and inadequacy about not being able to stop the annihilation of several people and had a hard time finding comfort in the people they both directly and indirectly did salvage and the good outcomes out of it.
The Qui-Gon / Schindler connection is a pretty logical one in the context of this video which is an illustration of the popular theory that Qui-Gon saw Anakin's future. I think it's sad that the creator didn't have the original trilogy available as Vader's final betrayal of Palpatine serves as one of the most essential and critical incidents.
qui gon probably told obi wan to train anakin as he knew all along anakin was the chosen one and also he was the jedi who would basically eliminate the confederacy of independent systems (by killing count dooku, nute gunray, poggle the lesser etc) so he knew he would play a major part in the destruction of the sith
i feel like either gui-gon should have survived,or darth maul should have beat both of them,the series would have been much more epic if Anakin ended up killing maul or qui-gon in a later movie,my opinion

So techniqly speeking, Anikan did bring Balance, because as soon as he killed Count Dokoo, he became a sith. By episode 4, there were 2 Jedi: Leia and Luke (Remember Yoda replied to Ghost Obi-wans statement "He's our only hope", and then Yoda says there is another), and Darth Sideos (Palpatine), and Darth Vader. 2 and 2 = Balence

The effects are simple and nice, but it could be shortened to be even stronger and better. I’m not sure you need all the scenes you’ve included, especially not so much from them, shorter glimpses more fits the bill I think. Keeps it vague and jedi-like.
The music is ok, but it sets the mood a tad too much on the melodramatic side.

@jglws12 while that is a valid point, I think that by seeing the offspring of Padmé would ensure the future of the force (i.e. Jedi) and the balance (predominately light siders as opposed to an equal "share") that Qui-Gon and the prophecy speaks of, and also his wish for Obi-Wan to teach Anakin.
@cheesegraterslaves balance isnt an equal amount of light and dark siders. balance is the light side of the force soley. george lucas stated this. and the jedi show it, the dark side is like a cancer which corrupts the natural order of things vs the light side which flows through all things and is a symbiotic relationship, the natural order.

@gatorarman12 fair do, while Anakin did kill the emperor, he wouldn’t have done so without Luke and his almost sacrifice by letting the Emperor close to kill him. Anakin’s story is basically, up to that point, a long list of stupid crap decisions.

@angrynostolgiamann12 nope. the force was unbalanced because as yoda was saying in AotC the jedi's ability to use the force had started to pull away from them. palpatine was manipulating the force to throw the jedi out of whack. killing him throws the force back into balance.
Anakin was born to finally destroy the Sith...he did. The last true Sith master (Sidious) was destroyed by his pupil (Vader)....and Vader died, Anakin came back and died....balance to the force....I think all the other stuff comming around was just filler, the true Sith (rule of 2) is gone as they were the most pure line of Sith
Is it just me, or was Qui-Gon Jinn a secret Sith? I mean, sure, the Jedi council MIGHT have noticed, but think of it. Qui-Gon Jinn ordered the clones in Spypher Diases name, for what? The Jedi council did not know anything about it!
He tried to train Obi-Wan to become a sith, but the Jedi council had to big influence on Obi-Wan. And Qui-Gon did never complete Obi-Wans training. And Obi-Wan trained Anakin the way Qui-Gon trained him, and well, we all know what happened then...
@IhazMelon and also, the biggest reason anakin turned sith was palpatines influence, and the fact that anakin had an attachment to padme which is forbidden by the jedi coucil...for the very reasons we see with anakin.
@Legoman130 no main reason is that though Yoda was more powerful, qui-gonn was more in tune with the force and his specialty was more in visions. yoda would not have seen it especially since Yoda admitted that the sith clouded his visions.
beef with EP3 is that when Anakin "turned" there were no sequences showing his change in position.... He just pops into the room with the younglings should have shown him fighting some of the jedi in the temple instead of that brief clip you KINDA see when Obi-Wan watches the security footage

@BenderHardDrive Yeah, if you watch the movies and look at it as you would if you were a critic, you can find a lot of cool similarities/homages. For example: The funeral cremation of Qui-Gon in Menace and the funeral cremation of Darth Vader's armor in ROTJ; Palpatine in ROTS asking for Anakin's help as he's getting blasted with lightning being a reference to Luke asking for help in ROTJ, etc. etc.

all I will say that it's not easy to kill what you helped to create and that will always be a burden to Obi Wan. furthermore Anakin was never meant to be the chosen one but he wanted it so badly that it got to his head. absolute power corrupt absolutely. Star wars may be a sci-fi but really the story is about politics, power, corruption and humans.
The sith use their power to control the world. If you can turn off your emotions you won't do anything bad. Like Yoda said: " fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering". In order to use the force in the correct way it is neccesary to be neutral and turn off you emotions. Then and only then you can do good. Have you ever seen a sith lord that did nothing but good things? Wel, Jedi's do...
Whose really the bad guy here? The jedi believe love is forbidden, and they show very few emotions. The Sith are more similar to human beings in that they show fear, anger, and arrogance..Common traits that the majority of human beings possess. The jedi forbid feelings of fear, and anger. Not to be on the offensive side, but the Sith are more similar to human nature. It's in our nature to fear, love, and feel superior.
So I ask again. Who is the real enemy? Humans? Sith?
So Qui-gon saw the future and new that Anakin was going to basically grow up and then spend the next 30 years killing jedi, Obi-wan, his wife, and "younglings" and choking out admirals on his starship, and cutting off his own son's hand before turning good again during the last 4 minutes of his life...and he STILL told Obi-wan to train him?
@MajinHD first off...how would Jinn even know what the Emperor looks like...the only sith he's ever seen is Darth Maul. Second, how does that change anything about what I just said. I already acknowledged that Anakin DID end up getting rid of the sith. But at what cost? yes I guess Anakin did fulfill his destiny in time. But, if you think about it; before Anakin the force was stronger and had the balance in its favor. After Anakin, the force became weaker and secluded in darkness. The prophecy at its core is not so clear.

First of all, the ending has nothing to do with Qui-Gon, it's just the end of the duel, which is sweet, but not for this vid. Second, you should have had Qui-Gon see Anakin killing the Emporer. If he hadn't seen that, he would have thought he was wrong and told Obi-Wan NOT to let him be trained.
I never understood that whole, "bring balance to the force" thing. How is that good? Balance means both have equal power. And if Sith is a belief, and Jedi fall to the dark side so often... How is it so damn important to wipe them out if they can just pop back up at any time? And it actually did bring complete balance to the force, I mean with what we were shown in the movie. Two Sith, Two Jedi, in the last film. It was balanced, practically everyone was dead but...
Well it brought balance because both sides were flawed. therefore in the original trilogy when Luke is the only jedi period and is a grey one at that (the les fun but know how to control both light and dark sides of the force). 2 on each side left alive is incomplete and some jedi did escape order 666 and just hid anyway so its not even two on each side really.
so your saying that Qui-Gon was some super-jedi overpowering Darth Sidiouse and even Yoda and he could see 40-50 years in the future....well then Qui-Gon JInn automatically gets 1.000.000.000.000 awesome points.
It's just, he's the only Jedi who ever actually had a live after death, and he teaches yoda how to do the same, From episode V & VI you see Obi-Wan appearing as some kind of ghost, Qui-Gon teached Yoda how to become a ghost, and Yoda teached Obi-Wan after the fall of the Republic.
That's why Yoda said Qui-Gon is even more powerfull than Yoda..

one major flaw with this video. if qui gin saw all this he wouldnt make sure anakin was trained. He would in fact prevent it. Had Luke not ceased his attack on his father, defeating the Sith Lord, Luke would have gone dark and the Sith would have won. Course Qui-Gon might also have known that the Prophecy had to happen and unfortunately "you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet."

It was the will of the force i believe....Yoda said it himself,the order had became arrogant and pride. Anakin did bring balance to the force by destroying that and then destroyed the sith.
By doing so the order started over and there did became balance in the force.
I dont think this is a great video to show the future because Qui Gon woulda known to stop it. However he let it happen. However the way it is put together and mixed is amazing

@cheesegraterslaves well i read it as you said that's what the prophecy said, which isnt at all. and the QuiGon and the jedi didn't think think it. i mean even obi wan said " you were the chosen one. you were supposed to destroy the sith." that's why i got confused, but no in the end it's anakin who brought balance, I mean luke turned his father back but he didn't do crap when it came to killing the emperor, that was all anakin.

@gatorarman12 fair do, while Anakin did kill the emperor, he wouldn’t have done so without Luke and his almost sacrifice by letting the Emperor close to kill him. Anakin’s story is basically, up to that point, a long list of stupid crap decisions.

@Vostokification certainly, whoever that is… anyone would have been better, actually, I heard silly rumours about Leonardo Dicaprio being cast for the role way back when… at the time I hated the idea, but today I’m not so sure, he could actually have introduced good acting to Star Wars, for the first time since Alec Guinness… not that I’m comparing the two (BLASPHEMY!). I serously doubt it though, Lucas is such a bad director, why did he want to direct these films himself? WHY?

That was actually well put my friend. sums up the first 3 episodes nicely. i kinda wished you also placed the other 3 episodes too since they follow Anakin's transcendence from Jedi to Sith, and also shows Anakin's seed carrying the Jedi Legacy.

Anakin was born to finally destroy the Sith...he did. The last true Sith master (Sidious) was destroyed by his pupil (Vader)....and Vader died, Anakin came back and died....balance to the force....I think all the other stuff comming around was just filler, the true Sith (rule of 2) is gone as they were the most pure line of Sith

Is it just me, or was Qui-Gon Jinn a secret Sith? I mean, sure, the Jedi council MIGHT have noticed, but think of it. Qui-Gon Jinn ordered the clones in Spypher Diases name, for what? The Jedi council did not know anything about it!
He tried to train Obi-Wan to become a sith, but the Jedi council had to big influence on Obi-Wan. And Qui-Gon did never complete Obi-Wans training. And Obi-Wan trained Anakin the way Qui-Gon trained him, and well, we all know what happened then...

@Legoman130 no main reason is that though Yoda was more powerful, qui-gonn was more in tune with the force and his specialty was more in visions. yoda would not have seen it especially since Yoda admitted that the sith clouded his visions.

beef with EP3 is that when Anakin "turned" there were no sequences showing his change in position.... He just pops into the room with the younglings should have shown him fighting some of the jedi in the temple instead of that brief clip you KINDA see when Obi-Wan watches the security footage

When Anakin "choked" Padme' they should have had her being levitated that wouldve really put the "stamp" that okay he's crossed over all the way

@BenderHardDrive Yeah, if you watch the movies and look at it as you would if you were a critic, you can find a lot of cool similarities/homages. For example: The funeral cremation of Qui-Gon in Menace and the funeral cremation of Darth Vader's armor in ROTJ; Palpatine in ROTS asking for Anakin's help as he's getting blasted with lightning being a reference to Luke asking for help in ROTJ, etc. etc.

all I will say that it's not easy to kill what you helped to create and that will always be a burden to Obi Wan. furthermore Anakin was never meant to be the chosen one but he wanted it so badly that it got to his head. absolute power corrupt absolutely. Star wars may be a sci-fi but really the story is about politics, power, corruption and humans.

In order to use the force in the correct way it is neccesary to be neutral and turn off you emotions. Then and only then you can do good. Whose really the bad guy here? The jedi believe love is forbidden, and they show very few emotions. The Sith are more similar to human beings in that they show fear, anger, and arrogance..Common traits that the majority of human beings possess. The jedi forbid feelings of fear, and anger. Not to be on the offensive side, but the Sith are more similar to human nature. It's in our nature to fear, love, and feel superior.
So I ask again. Who is the real enemy? Humans? Sith?

So Qui-gon saw the future and new that Anakin was going to basically grow up and then spend the next 30 years killing jedi, Obi-wan, his wife, and "younglings" and choking out admirals on his starship, and cutting off his own son's hand before turning good again during the last 4 minutes of his life...and he STILL told Obi-wan to train him?

@MajinHD first off...how would Jinn even know what the Emperor looks like...the only sith he's ever seen is Darth Maul. Second, how does that change anything about what I just said. I already acknowledged that Anakin DID end up getting rid of the sith. But at what cost? The prophecy of the Chosen One is probably the dumbest prophecy in any story that I've ever come across...and I LIKE star wars. But this "chosen one" stuff is confusing nonsense in my opinion.

yes I guess Anakin did fulfill his destiny in time. But, if you think about it; before Anakin the force was stronger and had the balance in its favor. After Anakin, the force became weaker and secluded in darkness. The prophecy at its core is not so clear.

Qui-Gon Saw what would happen. And In a way Yoda and Mace Windu said in Episode I Said that there were only two sith Master and Apprentice. "There will be two only two no more no less One to embody power the other to crave it" -Darth Dane And Yoda absolutly REFUSED to train Anakin because like Qui-Gon he saw What would happen to Anakin. HAd yoda Trained him He would be even more Powerful than Yoda & Papatine Together. Then in the End Anakin (Darth Vader at the time) Helped his son stop the Sith

First of all, the ending has nothing to do with Qui-Gon, it's just the end of the duel, which is sweet, but not for this vid. Second, you should have had Qui-Gon see Anakin killing the Emporer. If he hadn't seen that, he would have thought he was wrong and told Obi-Wan NOT to let him be trained.

I never understood that whole, "bring balance to the force" thing. How is that good? Balance means both have equal power. And if Sith is a belief, and Jedi fall to the dark side so often... How is it so damn important to wipe them out if they can just pop back up at any time? And it actually did bring complete balance to the force, I mean with what we were shown in the movie. Two Sith, Two Jedi, in the last film. It was balanced, practically everyone was dead but...

Well it brought balance because both sides were flawed. therefore in the original trilogy when Luke is the only jedi period and is a grey one at that (the les fun but know how to control both light and dark sides of the force). 2 on each side left alive is incomplete and some jedi did escape order 666 and just hid anyway so its not even two on each side really.

It's just, he's the only Jedi who ever actually had a live after death, and he teaches yoda how to do the same, From episode V & VI you see Obi-Wan appearing as some kind of ghost, Qui-Gon teached Yoda how to become a ghost, and Yoda teached Obi-Wan after the fall of the Republic.
That's why Yoda said Qui-Gon is even more powerfull than Yoda..

one major flaw with this video. if qui gin saw all this he wouldnt make sure anakin was trained. He would in fact prevent it. Anakin may have beenthe chosen one to:" wipe out the sith" but theyw ould have already have been wiped out if it wasnt for anakin. @varderman122 One could argue that perhaps when Qui-Gon says 'he' must be trained, Qui-Gon was referring to Luke. After all, who's to say that its Anakin's actions not Luke's that balance out the Force.
Had Luke not ceased his attack on his father, defeating the Sith Lord, Luke would have gone dark and the Sith would have won. Course Qui-Gon might also have known that the Prophecy had to happen and unfortunately "you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet."

It was the will of the force i believe....Yoda said it himself,the order had became arrogant and pride. Anakin did bring balance to the force by destroying that and then destroyed the sith.
By doing so the order started over and there did became balance in the force.
