0:02 makes Erik look like a hearthrob and not a crazy guy lol (Don't worry I'm Team Eric)
**QUESTION** I came here because I want to read the original novel by Gaston Leroux. When I researched the book I discovered many different "versions". There are different design covers and each are "introduced" by different people. I would like to know what the difference is between all these books by Leroux, I want to get a good copy but there's so many and I'm so confused!
Tarja was the former lead singer of the symphonic-metal band Nightwish, from Europe. I know they have a huge following in their home country, but I'm not sure how popular they are in other places. That might explain why.
no one would listen - not learn to be lonely - although they do have the same tune, the lyrics were different. NOWL was not included in the film - as it made the phantom show his emotions, and seem to human. you can find the full thing on youtube.
Oh my GOD when I read the book by Susan Kay I literally FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM. Before I was completely obsessed with the ALW version and everything but I became his faithful slave the day I read his poignant story God it made me want to die in pain but it was so complex and beautfiul. And I do wish Gerard had been uglier to portray the Erik I fell for in the Susan Kay book....but still what an amazing book. Anyone who hasn't read it needs to.
I absolutely agree with you! I watched the ALW movie, then read Leroux's book, and then I found Susan Kay's book. Before then i already liked Erik's character. But Susan truly made me love him. She painted him so beautifully, i love him!! totally!
i think you get the sperit from the book in this vidio and yes the book is really awensome (my ferovit book) you dont know erik before you readt that book :/D
Lovely song, good video. And yes, Susan Kays book is just lethal. I can never open it without getting sucked in and having to read it to the bitter end.
It would have worked if the directors had had the guts to ugly him up for the character. Susan Kay describes him as charismatic (it's something nadir says about him and his effect on women, don't have the book to look it up) which Butler surely could have played. His face as it was just didn't fit at all.
GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!! Love Erik & love you for your video!! And also love Tarja)))

All he needed was a gentle heart to lead him through the dark!
He was so charismatic and full of passion - but the most lonely soul on the world.
The world showed no compassion to him and teached him how to hate.
Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide.
Oh, and Susan Kay described his character perfectly!
