i think they are using lsdj and nanoloop. mailny lsdj, which is a music tracker for gameboy

they use LSDJ, which is a piece of hardware that is put in old gameboys like any game cartridge. the user uses LSDJ to make and loop tracks. it uses the actual sounds of the gameboy, which is why the music sounds so similar to vintage video games.

and the guy in the red is circles, in the yellow is mcfiredrill, and the navy is paul owens of 2 player productions.
