@chelki1000 Also, for combating dryness, when co-washing, I usually mix a few of my favorite conditioners and work them through her (twisted) dry hair about an hour or two before she will shower and put a plastic cap on her head. I usually only take her hair down only once a month unless she has cornrows in. When she wants cornrows, I usually limit them to the front and sides of her head to cut down on time (which we both appreciate.) She always loves those styles! Be Blessed!
My daughter has thick hair as well. Because it is so thick I rarely cornrow it. I do not have a lot of time to comb it because I am a mother of 3. The oldest is 9, then it is my daughter who is 6 and then it is my 1 year old. What do suggest I do with her hair. I usually twist it small but when it is time to come down, my gosh. And what do you do about dryness. She has really dry hair.
@chelki1000 Wow, you are as busy as I am! I love twist on my dtr as well, however, I usually twist it in large to medium sections, for 3 reasons. 1st:It is easy to co-wash it in the twists 1x a week in the shower. 2nd:It is easy to maintain the look of the twists by re-twisting the front edge, top, and back within 30 minutes on different days. 3rd:I spray her hair with water and apply a shea/olive mix daily and it is always shiny and moisturized. I hope this helps. Be Blessed!
@Zaharam2 Thank you this is really helpful information. I will try washing it with the large to medium twists. And I will also try the shea/olive mix daily. Blessings
@KittySugarLips Thanks so much! I love your tag, btw. My girls are so Pro-Curly Hair, that they refuse to let me blow dry or flat iron their hair. When ever their hair has been stretched in a style, they will ball their little faces up and say, "Mom, where are my curls!?!" Ha! It's so cute! I wish that my mother had been more supportive of natural hair as well. But I don't blame her. She was just doing what she though was right at the time. Be Blessed, and thanks for your support!
Thank you so much for the tutorial, I have gotten so tired of my hair especially now that it is growing and getting very thick,so I do need to have patience or I will put a relaxer in my hair once again. I sure did stay and danced, God Bless:)
@mekaziona No problem! I am always amazed at the positive response that this film has received, considering that it is just a pictorial. Thick, long hair is managable. It just takes a little more time to detangle and such. STAY AWAY FROM THE CREAMY CRACK! ALRIGHT?!?! Patience is a virtue.I'm glad that you enjoyed the music! Be Blessed!
@rnmechel I still have trouble with braidouts. But now I am the Twist out QUEEN! I'll be glad for spring so that I can return to Wash-n-goes EVERYDAY!
THANKS!!! For taking care of your daughters hair... Now she will know how to care for her kids hair... Even your son will have knowledge on how to care for his kids hair.
LOL!! I LOVE this video, the way you made it was great and expresses your humor!! I absolutely love it!! :D Great job, I'm going to show this video to everyone who needs a little lift me up while in the process of growing hair natural. :D
@OffTheCreamyCrack Thanks! I'm so humbled. Oh, yeah, and I'm so happy to know that you are "Off The Creamy Crack" AHAAHAAAAA! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that tag! Be Blessed!
@OffTheCreamyCrack This little one has made it clear to all that she "DOES NOT WANT STRAIGHT HAIR!" I may have destroyed any hope of her knowing that the versatility of her can include the straight look (occasionally.) We did make a a couple of attempts at straightening her hair (with a traditional straightening comb.) However we were both unhappy after the first few minutes and gave up. I don't use heat in her hair at all. It reaches her waist when stretched and we are both happy with that.
@Zaharam2 Okay no problemo it was just a thought I wasn't saying anything forceful toward straightening children's hair. I rarely ever had my hair straightened as a child too and had no wants to either. (and I say rarely because I don't remember any straightening in my hair at all until junior high for school pictures by my mom) But I think it's a great thing for her to love her hair all natural! ^_^
@AmarisLeslyn No problem! I love world music. I also speak a little French (I understand more than I speak, actually) sao I really enjoy Soukous Stars. But hey, we can still be friends, Right?
hello i've previously sent you a message about the music in your video...i wanted to know if you could please please please email me 2 of the songs because i can not find them online...
@bwoodsfinest Hey, could you hit me up on the e-mail with your personal e-mail address? I am not sure if I can legally send you the songs via the youtube e-mail.
Hii I really love your clip but have a question. I had long hair at the age of 5 (now 24) and after my first perm my hair broke short. By God's grace it gre again but I started with cornrows and weavons - even stuck it and it broke again eversince my hair can't grow without breaking.
What can I do to let my hair grow long again? I went to different hair dressers all tell me different stories. I did weave again because of the weather...I would be glad to get a respond from you! Love your clips.
@missfavoured Hello, my dear. First let me thank you for your support. Now, let me think. My eldest daughter had much the same issues. I was perplexed because I only use protective styles for her as well. Through trial & error I found that she protein sensitive & her hair requires a LOT of MOISTURE! Your hair probably grew because it was protected, but weaves/braids don't allow for much maintainer products in-between styles. So I baby her hair and protect style only 50%. Be Blessed!
@Zaharam2 Thx for your reply!!! I went to the hair saloon last week - end and used Creme of Nature to relaxed. Was wrong. The regular type was burning so much. I decided to use Just for me again. But I will try it with the braids. The issue is that my hair dressers only know how to do the weave and rasta (AND THAT'S IT!). I heard about Aphoguee Products and decided to try it out onee day. Maybe it helps quickly. But thx a lot. I will mail if I need more advices. Stay blessed & ur cuties too ;)
@TheKamberry I added the shampoo to her hair prior to rinsing out the 1st conditioner. This keeps the hair from getting stripped, then I added the second conditioner.
@TawanaNicole You know what I used to think the same thing until a few months ago Picture if your mama did your natural hair back then and you saw all of these commercials with the relaxers and the shampoos that were to make your hair smooth and straight then you begged your mother for a relaxer only to lose all of that beautiful hair over time. That's why ladies going natural from relaxing are better off because they know how to appreciate it more :)
@Zaharam2 It a brush that sells at Sally's for about $9.99 but it's a miracle worker. Do a search here on YT to see some reviews. I'm transitioning and it has truly saved my life!! LOL!!
My hair looked EXACTLY like that and it was EXACTLY that length but I relaxed my hair and the sides of my hair and the nape area got cut off so it awkwardly short around my head and the crown area is really long. I'm actually going natural but I don't believe in "the big chop". I am just going to chop off little bits of my hair while my hair grows because I will go mad if I have short hair. My hair actually grows pretty fast so I guess I will have my original hair in about a year and a half
@cutiecassiie OMG! What a story! Well, it took her 4 years to grow waist length hair. So it might take you a little longer to get your length back. Good luck with your natural hair journey.
You are so awesome for this video! As a 1st gen Nigerian American I love to see my African brothers and sisters embracing natural hair, as it is still not fully accepted. Entertaining video, I will be sharing this one soon on my site!
@coilyhair Thank you! I know some of my sisters that wouldn't be caught dead without a wig or weave in their hair. I just want to yank it off of their heads and give them a jar of shea butter! Ha! Thanks for your support!
@Ladroc12 Honey, ANYONE can pull off 2strand twists! I also love flat twists, and wash-n-go styles (which aren't true to the name, they usually involve a great deal of gel) I usually rinse out the gel so that I can enjoy the defined curl effect minus the usual hard crunchy hold that most gels leave behind. If you scroll down you will see the common products that I use for her hair in some of my previous responses. Be Blessed!
@brownieblush Thanks for your support! I don't know which song you are making an inquiry about, but the credits are at the end of the film. Be Blessed!
Hey, I love the music in your video had us going here lol...I would like to ask you what kind of products you use on your daughters hair. I have a lot of problems with my daughters hair which is really dry and brittle. Please let me know, thanks.
@fabbymyers I LOVE Soukous Music! You know, this child's hair holds on to moisture. My other daughter's hair is dry and brittle as well. It is a struggle to keep it moisturized! Check out her videos and my Products For 4B/4c Hair. Hopefully they will help. Hit me up on e=mail if you still have questions.
@iiFufi Because it is funny! Ha! When I made the video I was just being sarcastic, because I am sick of that silly question. Thanks for your support! Be Blessed!
My mother is black from America and my father is from Ghana ... and i wish my hair could grow like this...how do u do it ? or did she always have long hair ?
@Ladroc12 She has exactly the same roots as you do. I just use high lipid products, no petroleum or mineral oil products, wash it at least twice a month, and keep it in two strand twist most of the time.
She's gorgeous and very blessed to have a mother who embraces natural hair and takes very good care of it. Congrats on your bc too. My family is from Ghana too and people be sleeping on how us nice and thick us straight from the mother land chicks hair is lol..Keep doing what you doing i subbied so i'll def be watchin the vids =)
Wonderful! Omg! My daughter will have her hair! I know it! I haven't even got kids yet but I know it goddamnit! She is beautiful, you do an excellent job in taking her of her hair.
Your daughter's hair is so beautiful. I love the fact that you did not relax her hair. So many mothers put relaxers in their young girls hair and it is not necessary. All it takes is time and patience. That is it.
@shoelover100 Thank you for your kind words! I love spending time with my girls while doing their hair. We talk about lots of things during the styling time. Think of how many connections could have been made by mothers and daughters if relaxers were non-existant! Be Blessed!
my daughter absolutely loves you daughters hair. When she was 3 and her aunt relaxed her hair and repeated every time I would let her go with her. I was so upset I literally cried and was embarrassed! I finally had to curse her out and this year (august) was her last relaxer I'm so mad I have to transition her hair. Her hair before was very long and very curly. Please continue to post your daughter to educate women that black girl/women can have long natural hair.
@foxykira2005 Oh, thank you! I'll be sure to tell her that she has a kid fan! Hee! Hee! I would be completely DEVESTATED if ANYONE had the audacity to put a chemical relaxer in MY daughter's hair! UGH! I shudder at the thought! I will be back making more videos very soon. I have family visitors for the holidays and hardly have time to even get enough sleep, lately. Be Blessed and Thanks so much for your support!
so do u think that i can try those tips for my hair? You and your daughter and your son are beautiful. Please write back and may God bless u and ur family
Thank you! but I've tried every thing and im a mix I'm part indian and part german but my hair is short. when i was small my hair was long but now it is short.
i danced lol. sounds just like haitian music ..love it. sucks that i had to perm my daughter's hair due to the tenderheadedness. next kid will get the no tears treatment and stay au natural.
@ARINYC76 Hi! OMG! My mother is also tenderheaded! I keep telling her to just use her fingers, but she never listens to me. Ha! I'm with you on the next kid's plan! Be Blessed!
@TheCorbinfanatic Actually, I have two daughters. This video features the youngest one (We call her Baby Girl). The video where I twisted up the four sections is the eldest one (We call her Big Girl). The two of them have different hair textures and different lengths. I'm sorry if I confused you. This video was actually my first one so I was a novice at editing and such. Thanks for watching!
@1kayshante Hi, Sweetie! *WAVING* You absolutely CAN grow your hair this long. All it takes is a little patience. If you want length retention just learn how to properly maintain your hair. That is all it takes. Be Blessed!
LOL @ "what shall I do?" That was cute. I love the music you put in here. You all have gorgeous hair!!!! I had a lot of long thick hair down my back like your daughter did. My grandmother didn't know how to care for it. She was impatient. She gave me a relaxer at 5 years old!!
@mom2dave Your story is so similar to lots of our sisters! As I always say, When you know better, you do better! I hope that my daughters appreciate how I am encouraging them to stay natural for life, when they grow up. Be Blessed!
lol I wish my biological parents were as patient as you when i was her age. They said my hair was down my back and they got sick of it cause it was so thick so I got my first perm.... and it fell out. for some reason I kept getting perms ever since. Since then my hair has never been past the middle of my neck and has always been damaged.
@Offended83Shadow Oh, Honey! What a story! Unfortunately, this is the case for many of our sisters. I hope that you don't harbor hard feelings for your parents. They probably just didn't know that the relaxers might make styling your hair easier in the short term, but I'm sure that they didn't know about the long term repercussions.
@Zaharam2 lots of bad feelings. My family is mixed heritage through and through (native-A, Filipino, Black, Irish along w/ black) and the kids who were more black got treated worse IMo. My lil sis and my cousins whose dads (or moms in some cases) were white and that looked white were praised. The darker/more black you were the worse you had it. which was odd cause my grandma was my color but her hair was more "wispy" so i guess she thought that made me less than her. *shrug*
@Offended83Shadow Wow, I know what you mean about the color thing. I was so much darker skinned than either of my brothers. In the South, where I grew up, all of the attention (From adults, men, teachers, etc...) went toward those who were "light, bright and almost white." The color of my skin holds no bearing on my school nor professional performance. Neither does it make me a better wife or mother. I no longer give credit to "other people's" reactions to my lovely skin color!
@Offended83Shadow That plus the way the other black ppl treated me at the shelters (violent ghetto thugs)... it took me a while to realize I hated being black (i never noticed honestly) and even longer to learn to love my skin and my hair. Thank god all my hair said FU & broke off last year. It forced me to ask myself WHY i was perming like i was and why i would get so mad when styling my hair. Now, i am like YAY CURLS YAY THICKNESS
@mhorn011 You know, at first I was being sarcastic. Now I feel like it is a message not only to the nay sayers, but also to our own people that we CAN have long hair if we care for it! Great Comment! Be Blessed!
@Zaharam2 yea my daughter is 3 and it takes me hours to do her hair but I refuse to let my baby go out the house with her hair looking all kinds of ways.. keep up the good work!
@Zaharam2 My mom wont accept the fact that all black women can grow their hair long, she says certain black people like me or your daughter can grow long hair because its in our genes, however she said people with EXTREMELY KINKY HAIR cant grow it long because it breaks off. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME TO FIND THE RIGHT WORDS TO SAY, shes a hair dresser using HAIR CRACK, and i really want her to get into being natural. BUT NOT BY PRESSURE OR FORCE LOLZ.
@arab3515 Would you PLEASE tell your mom that the THREE of the ladies in my home have KINKY HAIR! My hair is past my shoulders at this point and I have only been "natural" for 11 months. My eldest dtr has EXTREMELY TIGHT COILS (4b) and her hair is Mid-back at this time! My youngest dtr and myself have the CRAZIEST mixture of coils ranging from 3a-4b. Baby Girl's hair is down to to her hips. It's not about genes! It's about strand length retention. And Baby, IT CAN BE DONE! Be Blessed!
How do you keep her length retention? Your daughter and I have the exact same type of hair but as soon as mine gets wet it shrinks horribly. It goes to 9 inches to 2 in a few minutes.
I get my hair from my father and he was Haitian but his hair has been dreaded most of his life.
@NefariousWTF I just do what you see in the video. AND I keep it braided, plaited or twisted most of the time, b/c she doesn't really like to wear it loose. It gets into her face too much. That is a lot of hair for such a small girl. Her shrinkage is extreme as well. When flat ironed her hair is hip length. But when water hits it it looks shoulder length. Did you know that curly hair can shrink up to 80% if it's actual length.
@4toshiba That is something that you don't have to worry about! I always hated relaxers and both of my girls are natural because I REFUSE to put them through the HELL of chemical burns!
@Ninafaye80 I love it! Even though I don't understand what they are singing most of the time (Unless it is in French or English.) There is something about the music that moves me.
Love the uplifting music as well the demonstration. You look like one of my friends and your daughter looks much like a little girl at my church. He father is African also..Nigerian . The resemblance is uncanny! I am passing on your tips to my sister-on law for my natural nieces.
@2010KH Thank you! I think that EVERYONE has a twin somewhere! Thank you so much for the compliments. I hope that your family can use some of the information. Be Blessed!
@10jaseera Hi! I used the Organic Root Stimilator Deep Penetrating Conditioner. I DID NOT wet her hair first. I just smoothed on the condition and left it on for an hour. Then I put in an olive oil shampoo and rinsed. Then I put in an olive oil based conditioner and detangling was REALLY EASY!
OMG! u have 2 tell me All you do, she's so beutiful, and her hair is so thick and pretty! please i need tips, products, EVERYTHING. me and my mom r goiin natural!
@MariForeverBeCute Patience, low manipulation, NO HEAT, good moisturizers, only co-washing & protective styling. Oh, yeah Good genes might have a little to do with it. I have a few videos showing what products I use for my own hair since we have the same hair type I do the same 4 her. Please review those & scroll down a bit on this comments page to see how I answered this question before. If you still have questions hit me up with an e-mail and I will answer you personally. Be Blessed!
@Zaharam2 OMG! u have 2 tell me All you do, she's so beutiful, and her hair is so thick and pretty! please i need tips, products, EVERYTHING. me and my mom r goiin natural! also how do you trim her spplit ends if she gets them.
holy cow! her hair looks about hip length semi stretched...I can't imagine how long it would be if you flat ironed it...depending on how much shrinkage she gets...probably classic length? thigh? knee?...whatever you're doing keep it up, it's working.
@azungusanyera Thanks! Yeah, right now it is hip length just hand stretched. Which means that it is time to cut it again. Thanks for your support! keep watching and Be Blessed!
@LaineyxBaby Because her hair reaches her waist! If I use ANY type of comb on her hair when it has been loosened for a week with no intervention, she would loose TONS of hair and LOTS of length. She had been feverish and sweaty all week long. I wasn't about to wash her hair while she wasn't feeling well. The purpose of the film is to show that long natural hair can be manageable without having to use a comb to get tangles out. Be Blessed!
These kids are just too cute and the hair lawd just beautiful happy to see u giving ur kids the chance to embrace their natutral beautiful hair which is gorgeous.
PS: I'm guessing u must be Congolese (because of the music) love the congolese music it's da best.
@afrikween1 Aww! Thank you! Actually I am an African American from NC! I just love world music! My hubbie is a West African, but I was listening to Soukous LONG before I ever set eyes on him! Be Blessed!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE & needed this video! This was the inspiration I needed to fully commit myself to transitioning my short, relaxed mohawk to a head full of au natural kinks & curls! Bravo to you for your videos and patients! Beautiful video, great music and spirit!
Your daughters hair is so beautiful and plentiful. Reminds me of me and my daughter. :)

My hair actually grows pretty fast so I guess I will have my original hair in about a year and a half
cutiecassiie 1 year ago
@cutiecassiie OMG! What a story! Well, it took her 4 years to grow waist length hair. So it might take you a little longer to get your length back. Good luck with your natural hair journey.

@coilyhair Thank you! I know some of my sisters that wouldn't be caught dead without a wig or weave in their hair. I just want to yank it off of their heads and give them a jar of shea butter! Ha! Thanks for your support!

what are the specific hair products ? and i'm a teen , i cant pull off the two strand twists too well lol... do you have any other style suggestions
Ladroc12 1 year ago
@Ladroc12 Honey, ANYONE can pull off 2strand twists! I also love flat twists, and wash-n-go styles (which aren't true to the name, they usually involve a great deal of gel) I usually rinse out the gel so that I can enjoy the defined curl effect minus the usual hard crunchy hold that most gels leave behind. If you scroll down you will see the common products that I use for her hair in some of my previous responses. Be Blessed!

My mother is black from America and my father is from Ghana ... and i wish my hair could grow like this...how do u do it ? or did she always have long hair ?
Ladroc12 1 year ago
@Ladroc12 She has exactly the same roots as you do. I just use high lipid products, no petroleum or mineral oil products, wash it at least twice a month, and keep it in two strand twist most of the time.

Your daughter's hair is so beautiful. I love the fact that you did not relax her hair. So many mothers put relaxers in their young girls hair and it is not necessary. All it takes is time and patience. That is it.
shoelover100 1 year ago
@shoelover100 Thank you for your kind words! I love spending time with my girls while doing their hair. We talk about lots of things during the styling time. Think of how many connections could have been made by mothers and daughters if relaxers were non-existant! Be Blessed!
Zaharam2 1 year ago
@dopechicz Hee! Hee! No, I am African American.
Zaharam2 1 year ago
my daughter absolutely loves you daughters hair. Please continue to post your daughter to educate women that black girl/women can have long natural hair.
foxykira2005 1 year ago
@foxykira2005 Oh, thank you! I'll be sure to tell her that she has a kid fan! Hee! Hee! I would be completely DEVESTATED if ANYONE had the audacity to put a chemical relaxer in MY daughter's hair! kasseli 1 year ago
@kasseli Thanks, she was 4 years old at that time.
Zaharam2 1 year ago
@TheCorbinfanatic Actually, I have two daughters. This video features the youngest one (We call her Baby Girl). The video where I twisted up the four sections is the eldest one (We call her Big Girl). The two of them have different hair textures and different lengths. I'm sorry if I confused you. This video was actually my first one so I was a novice at editing and such. Thanks for watching!

First thing I would like to say hi! im 14 the 9th of this month.I would like to ask u if my hair can grow as tall as your daughters hair.
1kayshante 1 year ago
@1kayshante Hi, Sweetie! *WAVING* You absolutely CAN grow your hair this long. All it takes is a little patience. If you want length retention just learn how to properly maintain your hair. That is all it takes. Be Blessed!
Zaharam2 1 year ago
LOL @ "what shall I do?" That was cute. I love the music you put in here. You all have gorgeous hair!!!! I had a lot of long thick hair down my back like your daughter did. My grandmother didn't know how to care for it. She was impatient. She gave me a relaxer at 5 years old!!
mom2dave 1 year ago
@mom2dave Your story is so similar to lots of our sisters! As I always say, When you know better, you do better! I hope that my daughters appreciate how I am encouraging them to stay natural for life, when they grow up. Be Blessed!
Zaharam2 1 year ago
lol I wish my biological parents were as patient as you when i was her age. They said my hair was down my back and they got sick of it cause it was so thick so I got my first perm.... and it fell out. for some reason I kept getting perms ever since. Since then my hair has never been past the middle of my neck and has always been damaged.
Offended83Shadow 1 year ago
@Offended83Shadow Oh, Honey! What a story! Unfortunately, this is the case for many of our sisters. I hope that you don't harbor hard feelings for your parents. They probably just didn't know that the relaxers might make styling your hair easier in the short term, but I'm sure that they didn't know about the long term repercussions.
Zaharam2 1 year ago
@Zaharam2 lots of bad feelings. My family is mixed heritage through and through (native-A, Filipino, Black, Irish along w/ black) and the kids who were more black got treated worse IMo. My lil sis and my cousins whose dads (or moms in some cases) were white and that looked white were praised. The darker/more black you were the worse you had it. which was odd cause my grandma was my color but her hair was more "wispy" so i guess she thought that made me less than her. *shrug*
Offended83Shadow 1 year ago
@Offended83Shadow Wow, I know what you mean about the color thing. I was so much darker skinned than either of my brothers. In the South, where I grew up, all of the attention (From adults, men, teachers, etc...) went toward those who were "light, bright and almost white." The color of my skin holds no bearing on my school nor professional performance. Neither does it make me a better wife or mother. I no longer give credit to "other people's" reactions to my lovely skin color!

This has been flagged as spam show
@Offended83Shadow That plus the way the other black ppl treated me at the shelters (violent ghetto thugs)... it took me a while to realize I hated being black (i never noticed honestly) and even longer to learn to love my skin and my hair. Thank god all my hair said FU & broke off last year. It forced me to ask myself WHY i was perming like i was and why i would get so mad when styling my hair. Now, i am like YAY CURLS YAY THICKNESS
Offended83Shadow 1 year ago
@CuPCaKeNmE Hee! Hee! Thanks, I'm not that patient with my own either. Be Blessed!
Zaharam2 1 year ago
I need to get like her! I'm glad how you addressed that "shes not mixed". Black people can have long hair too if they take care of it.
mhorn011 1 year ago
@mhorn011 You know, at first I was being sarcastic. Now I feel like it is a message not only to the nay sayers, but also to our own people that we CAN have long hair if we care for it! Great Comment! Be Blessed!

BUT NOT BY PRESSURE OR FORCE LOLZ.
arab3515 1 year ago
@arab3515 Would you PLEASE tell your mom that the THREE of the ladies in my home have KINKY HAIR! My hair is past my shoulders at this point and I have only been "natural" for 11 months. My eldest dtr has EXTREMELY TIGHT COILS (4b) and her hair is Mid-back at this time! My youngest dtr and myself have the CRAZIEST mixture of coils ranging from 3a-4b. @Princessvia911 The song is entitled Tour A Tour.
Zaharam2 1 year ago
How do you keep her length retention? Your daughter and I have the exact same type of hair but as soon as mine gets wet it shrinks horribly. It goes to 9 inches to 2 in a few minutes.
I get my hair from my father and he was Haitian but his hair has been dreaded most of his life.
NefariousWTF 1 year ago
@NefariousWTF I just do what you see in the video. AND I keep it braided, plaited or twisted most of the time, b/c she doesn't really like to wear it loose. It gets into her face too much. That is a lot of hair for such a small girl. Her shrinkage is extreme as well. When flat ironed her hair is hip length. But when water hits it it looks shoulder length. Did you know that curly hair can shrink up to 80% if it's actual length.
Zaharam2 1 year ago
Please never relax or perm your child's hair.

@10jaseera Hi! I used the Organic Root Stimilator Deep Penetrating Conditioner. I DID NOT wet her hair first. I just smoothed on the condition and left it on for an hour. Then I put in an olive oil shampoo and rinsed. Then I put in an olive oil based conditioner and detangling was REALLY EASY!

why didnt you use a wide tooth com to detangle her hair?
LaineyxBaby 1 year ago
@LaineyxBaby Because her hair reaches her waist! If I use ANY type of comb on her hair when it has been loosened for a week with no intervention, she would loose TONS of hair and LOTS of length. She had been feverish and sweaty all week long. I wasn't about to wash her hair while she wasn't feeling well. The purpose of the film is to show that long natural hair can be manageable without having to use a comb to get tangles out. Be Blessed!
