  • nice sport!!

  • Wow! What was that first disc? I though it was going to turn over and roll but it faded back hard! I need some good overstable drivers.

  • Comment removed

  • Where are they throwing? These look like 350 ft. drives. As with everything, practice makes perfrect. Play a lot and you'll get better.

  • People need to stop whipping out there e-penises with bullshit comments like:

oliverredding: "man i would love to play against you in disc golf and own the shit out of you."

deanlampe: "I can roll an Aviar farther than you can throw."

As if anyone actually gives a shit. Also, everyone seems to be pissing their pants over the fact that they called the video 'Throwing LONG Drives'. Fuck nitpicking. Stop acting like you've NEVER exaggerated anything or misused a word.

    Elitists pricks...

  • @RoundWounds and people need to quit bitching about people bitching

  • That 2nd guy could add some distance if he would put some anhyzer on it and utalize the S-curve instead of that fading hyzer.

  • @mattylewis08 i think you're right, he looked like he had the right mechanics but if he put an S curve on his throw he could probably add 50 feet or more to his drives

  • more like the last one threw a good one and the first two were OB heh

  • Enjoying the playing is all that matters, just keep at it and more distance will come!

  • fuck all those people

    those are good drives

ive been playing for about a month now and i've played with a wide range of players.

and at 5 months of playing they arent gonna be throwing 600ft drives, fuck. people are retarded

  • they are if they throw downhill

  • @thenicknicol why not? its about how much you apply yourself and how much you practice, ive only been playing 6 months and I throw about 500 on a flat land drive

  • hey man thats souix passage isn't it . God i love that course . keep on throwin maybee i'll see y'all out there

  • im not sure why this is getting bad ratings.

  • You guys are pretty good...but with my help, you could be the best!

  • I can roll an Aviar farther than you can throw.

  • those were long drives. for intermediate girls that is

  • man i would love to play against you in disc golf and own the shit out of you.

  • it looks like you guys are kinda average......and those were not that far at all.

  • did u read the description of it? it said at this point in time they only played for 5 months. cuz im sure anyone of us would agree for a seasoned player thats a short drive... but go back and remember u and ur friends drives after 5 months of playin. so i say keep hukin guys.

  • please pull your losy vid u guys suck and i play there all the time i will see you and paddle your bare asses with your own disc..and yes its souix passage

  • That's interesting... By play there all the time, do you mean that you actually play disc golf or are you one of the losers that only plays the front nine?

  • @Fivebrothers lol getting all hard about frolf, might be a troll, beware. if its not a troll, then its pathetic as fuck. more pathetic than hating on justin beiber.

  • is this at sioux passage?

  • Yes, I love playing Sioux.

  • i live in south county...we went up there once but it was incredibly windy and we didnt have time for the back 9....but id say it was the most difficult in stl

  • Sioux is certainly long, but very fun with all the elevation change... You have to come back and at least play the signature hole 13.

  • I like disc golf

  • OMG ME TOOO!!!!!!

  • these throws suck.

    1. the third guys landed vertical.

    2. its going downhill.

    3. the wind is blowing in the general direction they are throwing it

  • After 2 years now I wouldn't consider these long drives. However, the video gets a lot of views and comments so I leave it up.

    1. The tall grass on both sides are out of bounds.

    2. The wind is a dead cross wind, left to right.

    3. The last drive was thrown about 380 feet if measured on flat ground, and still stayed in play because it didn't skip due to the sharp hyzer angle.

Thanks for checking out the video and providing your very insightful commentary.

  • those drives were not terable but ive seen better

  • what's the average length on those? 100 ft?

  • Not very long at all sorry...

  • c'mon guys, put some effort into it

  • these are weak throws

  • drives are important but approach and putting are equally important, as well as learning how to recover from bad throws (everyone has them!) but disc golf is a very fun/challenging game. i've been playing for about 15 years and stil lstruggle with putting. it's ruined many a potential good game for me

  • amen to that soul. I have been playing for 20 years and struggle with putting. I think putting is more important (but not by that much) because it is rare that you can't get close enough to drop it in the basket.

  • Right. But driving is just horrible for us noobs to learn.

  • Also for this hole or place you are at you want to throw it down more to catch the updraft..

  • Well... At the time I made this video I had been playing for about 4 months.

FYI: The wind was 15 to 20 mph left to right. Also, we were playing to the 615ft "A" pin, and the long discolored grass the right and left are OB.

So... I would say my 370 to 390 foot drive in the middle of the fairway, wasn't all that bad!

(Sioux Passage Park- St. Louis hole #16 A-615 B-685 C-813)

WOW!!! That far down a hill?!?! Wait.. down a hill... Oh...

  • not to bad but the teerex is to much disc for the first guys throwing, hes learning to do drives throwing on a anhyzer insted of flat or hyzer..... im still pretty new to the sport but i can drive ok... and i can take a sidewinder and get 400ft with a smooth release or try my hardest with a tee-rex or destroyer and get 420-440 tops... just my opinion though

  • That last one looked like a Valkyrie.

What drivers did you guys use?

  • The 1st drive is a 175 tee rex, 2nd drive is a 170 wraith, Last drive is a 175 wraith.

  • To the negative posters, why comment if you don't like it? And why brag about what you can do? Is it on youtube? If it is, chances are you can be beat easily by someone else. Do something productive for dg and teach someone how to "rip a putter" you wanker(s) ;)

  • driving downhill,big deal

  • put camera from the other direction!!

  • that last drive was sick.

  • thise were some good drives considering the conditions. jesus why are some people on you tube little punk asses

  • What's with these losers posting those negative comments? Those were good drives (especially the last one), especially considering the obviously windy conditions.

  • i could rip a putter farther

  • Cool man! Post it on YouTube, I would love to see it. I'm guessing your throwing a Wizard putter, I've heard some people can throw those really far.

  • ehh... find a course

  • Come out and play the US- Mid National Championships in Sept. The courses will be in great condition.

  • you posted this vidoe because.........

obviously not because you can drive accurately or far

  • Well... At the time I made this video I had been playing for about 4 months.

  • Oh hey, this isn't a slam against you, since I've noticed it on lots of other DG videos as well, but... hasn't anyone ever heard of a windscreen for your camera mike?

  • This is a perfect reason why I don't play "regular" golf, but enjoy disc golf: elitist attitudes like yours. I can only hope that disc golf never gets to the point where they don't let you onto the course without a shirt with a collar on it.

  • "elitist attitude"? The guy throws a mediocre 300 ft drive and posts it on youtube calling it "throwing long drives". Well for him it probably was long. By the way,the PDGA does require you to wear a collared shirt during a PDGA sanctioned event.

  • no way, played over 20 pdga sanctioned events and never wore a collared shirt.

  • nobody has called you on it , thats all.Look at all the top pros , they wear collared shirts.

  • you do not have to wear a collard shirt at any pdga sanctioned event, i was in the pro tournament at silver creek park this year, no collared shirt required, i didnt even wear shoes
