I've always loved cereal commercials in the 80's and most of them always involved the main character of the cereal trying to explain to a fictional character (usually a bad guy) how great the cereal is, or they would try to stop them from stealing the cereal. lol
@Grapes428 Tell us if you ever find the 1984 versions of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, where it's on a beach, with people sand-surfing! I'm 38 in 2011, and I loved the "Feeling like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Feeling toasty, feeling new, feeling tasty, feeling true..."
It's funny at around 5:27 of the video how they mention Paula Abdul in the Barbie commercial, then after that the Simon commercial that states "What does it feel like to play Simon?" Maybe Paula did play Simon on American Idol.
The girl in the Simon commercial is Jessica Prunell who played Stacey on The Baby-Sitters Club TV Show. One of the girls in the Beach Splash Barbie is Venus Demilo who later played Telly on Salute Your Shorts.
The kids in the Operation board game commercial are Matthew Lawrence, Danielle Harris & Robert Oliveri who played Nick in Honey I Shrunk The Kids. The kid in the Oatmeal Swirlers commercial is Brandon Quintin Adams who later played Jesse in The Mighty Ducks & D2: The Mighty Ducks. The girl in the Pop Tarts commercial is Kiersten Warren who later played Alex on Saved By The Bell: The College Years.
wow i have impresion: my little pony, fruit loop, old barbie, and the google chromee! xD sorry simon!, batheship! and the loonye toons cars! lacer cars, mario hahah barbie beach and jeep is the this yearr? woww! hahaha
Oatmeal Swirlers: successful initially because they tricked kids into thinking oatmeal was delicious. Or at least fun enough to ignore how boring it tastes. As soon as kids realized they were had, sales canned.
Honest to God, I owned almost EVERY toy, advertised in this commercial, when I was a kid. Except for the Barbies and those electronic cars . Had a Game-Boy, a Hobnobbin, that My Little Pony carousel, Simon, Battleship, and the Operation game, which my mom bought, a couple years back, for MY kids, at Christmas. I felt SO nostalgic, I walked around my parents' house, singing the Operation jingle. Def got a good laugh out of my mom....lol
OMG!!!!!!!! I remember these! I can't believe it! It's Saturday morning all over again! I'm up at 5:30 A.M. watching all my favorites!!! Screw being 29 / 30 years old!!!! It's the worst! Take me back to this great stuff and my real life all over again!!!!!!!!!!

I remember oatmeal swirlers as a kid. They were good. These commercials were awesome.I ALWAYS WANTED THE DIFFERENT DOLLS THEY ADVERTISE.I MISS THE '80S.
