You can hear the crowd quiet down around :20 seconds in. I was at this game, absolutely no one was cheering for his injury. We got an And-1 then realized we should stop cheering pretty damn fast. So back off.
You guys bloody iori and Project blackop are dumbasses. Portland is cheering cuz they thought they got an AND-1, not cuz he was injured. Fucking idiots.
I'm a huge Lakers fan, but it always brings tears to my eyes when I see this. I remember watching it and just getting down on my knees and crying for him. Dikembe is a legend and will hopefully be in the hall of fame come 2014.
@playerhatrz hes hasn't played at all this season because he had a serious knee injury and hes trying to get back inot shape before he gets back out on the court. and when he comes back he'll be the best hes ever been as one of the only true centers in the nba dominating the paint.
@stupidretard10 I know but he's been injured for a vast majority of his time in portland, I mean, unless they don't wanna get someone in a draft or trade, I don't see why they would keep Oden... he's too much of a risk, I mean, it's obvious he can't stay 100% healthy.
@playerhatrz dude do I need to keep repeating myself to you? His problem was that he was out of shape and over weight I have seen him working out hard and he looks like what he used to look like at ohio state, trust me next year hes going to come out and make andrew bynum look like a bitch. And just imagine our team with a healthy greg oden, gerald wallace, lamarcus aldridge, batum, camby, wesley matthews, and a sleeper thats going to kill it eliot williams. champioship baby championship.
i'm a young, ripe, nba fan, aged 16. and i'm glad i saw this. not because i don't like mutombo, but seeing everyone in portland give dikembe a standing ovation, and it's hard to explain, but it's good to see legend's careers at their end, even if it's in a sad way like this
I love how everyone is saying fuck oden when he didn't so shit. Dikembe's been in the league for 18 years. One of y'all youtube online haters hiding behind your computer go play aggressive basketball for 18 years and tell me if your knees don't give out.
How this country should be quoted as the country of the big star of America ANBA basket association? Too much war, too much oppression of powerful nations, too much philosophy of anarchy to control the central power, too much mess!
How to love America basket game when the war track passing in my street is written made in USA or UN?
There is hope for people like us to say that ‘we love the guy but we hate the games’.
How enjoy a game when outside is a shooting range and the reign of anarchy?
I really respect the crowd for the standing ovation. This just shows you that even during an intense playoff game, everybody is together. As for Dikembe, I love that man. He is one of the most respectful, hilarious, entertaining competitors in basketball history.
It's a shame that this is how his career had to end, you know. He was a fantastic player, on and off the court. He was a part of one of the golden ages for basketball. Early/mid 90s to the early 2000s. And man are we currently in a golden age for pitchers in the MLB currently, wow!
portland could have had kevin durant brandon roy with kevin durant would have been one hell of a team lamarcus isnt consistant bayless oden are all waste
