  • Hello, first I wanted to congratulate you for the videos are incredible, and I wanted to ask I train Monday and Thursday. I do push-ups,handstand push-ups,dips and chin-ups. I can train handstand every day or how often would have to practice. Thanks

  • @portaIdo that's a really nice straddle planche at 1:24 and with fingers pointing to the front!!! I have a question: do you have a flexibility or rehab routine for wrists, or how did you train your planche with fingers pointing to the front without hurting your wrists? (I've tried it but my wrists hurt too much)

Thanks a lot for all the amazing videos!

  • that would take about 3 bottles of rum and endless amount of spinal chord medication to even attempt that and i'm in pretty good shape its just the courage and discipline thats holding me back

  • Great capoeirista. I gotta ask though: Do you need special muscle groups to do handstands etc or is it weight issues? How do you train for this kind of flexibility?

  • Two years later...this is the video that changed my life of training-forever. This led to a workshop, which led to a complete change in training (physically, and psychologically). Ido, you are the BEST in what you do- the marriage of strength and dynamic organic movement has never been so beautifully displayed as in this clip- still inspires, still motivates...now, after all this time the appreciation of the technical elements flow together with true understanding- Abundant Respects, Atlas

  • @THEBODYPRACTICE Brother! Indeed, this clip has changed my life as well. It is in the heart of my journey and has started it all. Thankfully, along the way, I have found many new friends from which I had the pleasure to share some of the small body of knowledge I was lucky to accumulate over the years. People like you - from which I learn as well as I teach for I am a student first and a teacher second. "Sou disciplo que aprendo, Sou mestre que dou lição". Thank you for your kindness!

  • sick shit

  • you are strong as hell, but is that a one handed planche or are you stabbing?

  • wow thats some excellent capoeira sir!!

  • Oh wow, this looks so cool. First time I see such a thing.

What is this? Where do I learn more about it?

  • @micikas this is called capoeira there are two main styles, angola which is usually lower to the ground and slower paced, and regional which is more faster and more on your feet and a little more formal. this here is most likely angola

  • @cacaman17 Thanks. I looked around and it seems like it's primarily a martial arts?

  • @micikas yeah its a really good martial art thats disguised as dance the history of it is amazing, basically slaves from africa were brought to brazil to work and in order to hide their martial art they hid it in a dance to prevent from being discovered, but it is a really deadly martial art once u get to a certain point but yeah theres alot to learn!!

  • @cacaman17 Hey man, thanks for your initial reply!! I ended up signing up for my local capoeira club and am loving it and wondering where it was years ago :) If you hadn't answered I wouldn't have been introduced to it.
