Well since the chinese democracy album sucks in comparison to their first album, I think its safe to say that the old band is way better than this one. And besides they have like three ppl doing the same job that slash did.

I think you are wrong in saying Chinese Democracy sucks compared to Appetite, yeah AFD is a better pure rock album but CD is a better complex album. Plus there were two guitarists in the old line up, you forgot about izzy and then after him there was gilby. I'm guessing they needed 3 guitar players because CD was a harder record to make than AFD.

The AFD was a whole lot cleaner than CD. I mean way cleaner. I mean I do like a few songs on CD but I dont think it can ever be compared to AFD. Besides music doenst have to complicated to be good, it just has to speak to everyone which i think is what happend with AFD. And im sure slash and Izzy both could play the new stuff if they where in the band and I also think Chinese demonocracy whould of been a MUCH better album than the current.

not true. there are 4 people doing it. Also tracks for the AFD album were recorded twice to account for the multiple guitar (4) experience. So no what you say is not true. The CD album is not as good, that i agree with BUT the solos are better thanks to buckethead and bumblefoot.
