  • I kinda thought "canned goods" was a bit too staged looking, but otherwise good! I'm looking at doing this monologue myself!

  • i'm doin this for my drama class ;)

  • OMG! i did this in theatre! All the girls refused to be sophie excwpt me

  • THANK YOU! I needed a model... I'm performing this monologue and had NO idea.... Thank you :)

  • "In other short, is there any chance of you falling in love with me?" haha that's the next line. Nice job. Just work on your southern accent.

  • you're really good :)

  • You wee good but your voice keep slipping out of your little "southern bell" accent...but Im sure Mr.Cornell will not bother you again

  • you were nice.. very sexy looking :)

  • "Canned goods" was perfect... hahahahhaha.

  • Amazing! :D

  • I'm also auditioning for a school and doing this monolouge. Thanks for the insight. (:

  • Amazing. Bravo. (:

  • Drop the fake accent. Because to the character, they don't have an accent at all. I Would like to see you more hysterical by the end. Let it build.

  • im doing this monologue for school and have been stumped on justifying the canned goods situation. i love what you did with it! i liked your accent, and im a georgia girl. so great job all in all, you should be impressed with yourself

  • I did this monologue except I didn't do the accent, cause I couldn't and I pictured him in his underwear on my bed and I had just gotten back from work. I had to cut it alot because my teacher said it was so long. Only thing I have to say about this, and this advice probably came too late, take a longer moment before to regroup so you can have a stronger begining because you have to get the cast director's attention right away. Other than that, you did way better than me :)

  • it was alright. a little flat, and you dropped your accent a few times. take the pauses out, and just keep it going.

  • Nice!

  • i have to perform this monologue for school and you did a great job! your accent did tend to slip now and again but it is hard to keep it staright through this scene.

  • well i loved it, personally :) espesially since its theater acting and not film acting its okay that the accent wasnt 100% i think you facial expressions were pricless and you timeing was spot on.

  • canned goods and nuts in the letters xD

  • you remind me of fred from angel( don't worry if you haven't watched angel before fred is a girls played by amy acker)

  • OMGGG I'm doing this monologue for an audition and i was trying to find a good version i love yours! thank you!

  • i liked the expression when you said 'canned good' and your facial expressions overall.

however i must agree that the accent was not completely southern. also (having lived in the south) some of your cadence is not souther (example is when you say something nice). also i would appreciate more depth of character. does she really like norman? why would she say this? what is going on before this? answering these questions will improve your performance.

  • I couldn't stop laughing . just because, . it's so .. weird. hahaha

  • THankyou! haha i got a better idea of my charachter! I have to do this tomo for a grade :P

  • why did you do this?

  • good job just work on your accent it's not strong enough and it goes in and out a lot but other then that i loved it

  • big No on the accent sorry..

  • Awsome! I LMAO at the canned goods bit.

  • this rly helped me discover who meh character is. y varsity theatre class is doing monolouges and i got this one and i wanna ty

  • critic's point of view...i used this as my audition piece for school...lol go alittle faster and you lost your accent when you were talking about him coming into your apartment after you leave for work...she's trying to let him down easy not be a buttmunch and blow him off...other than those few little things, GREAT JOB:)))))))

  • this is the best job of this monologue i have seen.keep up the good work hunny!

  • Nicee , i loved the way you did your accent

  • Lol that was funny. especially the canned good bit.

you should try it without the accent becasue there were points where it was there and strong but it slip more often then you thought. Its hard to do an accent at first but if you keep practicing it you'll get it. a southern accent it a tough one for me too.

  • very well done! good job! im trying to do more theatrical monologues, this is really helpful!

please take a look at my videos. thankss

    xoxo

  • loved it very well done :)

  • sorry but this it is Neil Simon and it should go faster...much faster...I say this because I did this monologue an got into both Julliard and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts....also if you cannot susstain the southern drawl all the way throug, it is best not to do it at all..but not bad..try it faster and see how it works...:)

  • @lepikimar I agree, perfect advice. :)

  • good reactions. you look like you're talking to someone. i like it.

  • New place to share monologue videos and auditions with others

@ "How's My Acting" - "Google" it, or the link is in my channel.

    DRAMA STUDENTS WELCOME

  • good job getting into character. love the accent too :) "....canned goods...." LAWL.

  • You did a very good job of making sure Mr Cornell had specific placement, but your accent seemed to slip in and out at times. Be sure the accent is consistent thru out and maybe try not to pause between the grievances you are listing. Allow your frustration to build up as you recount all of them instead of stopping to regain your composure after each one.

  • @chickachickabombom very good advice ......I agree totally

  • @chickachickabombom beautiful advice!

  • Good job!! I just posted a monologue of this too!

  • wow you have really big eyes. nice job

  • AWESOME!

  • really really good:)

  • this monolouge is soooo over done, so therefore i have seen it a countless number of times, but i must say i enjoyed it! this can go either exceptionally well, or just hurendously overacted and monotonous for the fact every girl at some point in their acting carreer will do this monolouge.

any way i really enjoyed your interpretation, just watch your accent. there are times you slip out of it so just make sure to keep it strong throught out.

    good job!! ((:

  • try it without the accent because it keeps going back and forth.

look up some videos so you can specify it

  • @sillyness135 she needs that accent to pull it off, in the play the girl is from kentucky and her accent is part of her character and her charm and her comedy :)

  • Good job!

  • Beautiful and talented... how rare.

  • stellar, just stellar!!
