An absolute abomination of a vehicle. It has a very dated and out of proportion look to it. With its high roof and narrow figure, it looks like it's been squashed between two large trucks. The square edged windows and flat tall windscreen look like they've been lifted from a pre-fabricated greenhouse.

It's obviously a very low budget effort from a company who don't have a clue how to make cars, and did no research into modern styling and didn't give a damn about safety.

Who the hell said it costs $6000? Last time I checked the price was closer to $13,000, which is a God damn RIP OFF for a piece of shit like that.

lol... it costs $4,800 in India. Europe has import taxes and other charges that add up and shoots to $11,000 (8K pounds). I dunno who is selling it for $13,000... that would be a rip off.

By the way, the ugly ass design is by an American company. The manufacturing was done in India.

It did pass the European safety certifications in 2009.

You dont have to risk your life to be good to the planet. Look at Mitsubishi Miev videos here in Youtube. Write to your congressman and senator and demand to pass legislation to allow ev cars. Check out evworld dot com to see better ev cars.

This car is not for average US citizen, but for the people of the rest of the world (less SUV addicted). For US citizens who think it's just a question to switch from fuel engine to EVs: stop expanding suburbia, try to live (mostly) without car. Use public transit, ride a bicycle or just walk! It will be better for your health and for the environment. The Reva is complementary, not basic mobility.

Catchy song. Pity the car looks so odd. I'm sure oil companies love this kind of electric car as it shows the public that electric cars are ugly and unsafe. We all know it's not true but cars like these don't really help the image.

Actually it was designed by a california, US based company called AEV LLC. The company that produces them is the Reva Electric Car Company of Bangalore, which is a Joint Venture between AEC and the Maini Precision Products Ltd., a Bangalore company.

So don't attribute the ugliness to Bangalore
