Paul Young intro and Love of the common People [2009]

Thank you for uploading the only video on YouTube that displays the overture of Paul Young's hits before the concert starts. It's genius to have the band come out to warm up, and give the crowd a chance to get into the mood and swing of things. It gives the audience a sneak peek of what's up ahead. As well, it builds up to the moment where the star comes out to sing.

You know what? Paul doesn't sing half bad here. The recording is bad, but in trying to listening right through that problem, his voice is in fine tune, and not in a bad shape. I recognize a lot of Paul's characteristic voice. Let's just take the part from 4:19 to 4:55. The tuning is just fine, there are moments that the power in his voice still shines out, and the best thing is that Paul still SWINGS!

Paul, nothing to be ashamed of. Wish I could sing like that in 25 years from now!

This collection of backing tracks at the beginning reminds me of when I used to have to go into hospital, actually brings back so many other memories aswell since my dad was always listening to Paul.

I really think hes genius now! Big fan of Mike and the Mechanics aswell of course!

Pauls such a decent guy I think, the break up of the marraige n stuff I feel really sorry for him, from what I was reading that marraige meant allot to him.

Ridiculous! It was a great performance of a great singer and entertainer. Paul Young is for certain my favourite artist of the 80's, as he is for many other people too!
