  • I'd like to know how much hold-over you require for a shot like that. Elmer Keith once harvested a deer at 500-600 yards with a 4" .44 Magnum S&W revolver. They estimated the holdover at about 34 FEET. Es muy impressivo!

  • I think it depends on the shooter rather then the gun

  • @lokalllize I agree but I think anyone without a handicap of some sort can learn to shoot about anything well, most of the time it is some bitter A-hole who never tries to do anything that stops other people from doing it. I know if I can do it anyone can, the grip size etc can cause a bit of a problem but they can all be overcome in time. Thanks for watching

  • @shilohtv Well said sir. I think it is with every thing in life some ass hole who never tries stops others from doing it

  • Alright now lets see you hit those flies. Just kidding nice shootin

  • That's pretty damn impressive.

  • We all know you can't hit anything with a pistola over 15 yards away! ! !

  • nice shooting skills

  • The one/first dislike is a mistake, hit the wrong button.

    Not really a dislike

  • Nice clothes. Fat guys can look good.

  • @raimundough As a matter of fact we look great

  • WOW! I didn't think you could do that with a snubby. Now I'm gonna have to break mine out and start practicing!

  • @earlobejobe I love shooting my snub practicing is by no means a chore

  • Very high elevation, with low velocity impact. It would be more effective to sling a rock at an adversary. In any case what's the point at using a snuby at a medium range target. Use the right tool for the right job.

  • Really please make a video of you and someone with a snub, you throw a rock and let them shoot you at 100 yards with a snub and lets see who fair better you or them. What an idiot to think that you can not get hurt or killed with a bullet out of a short barreled gun. I can see you know noting about the subject and just like to hear yourself talk

  • @johnsammyanfal Sit Down.

  • Looks like the Phoenix area. Where in the desert do you shoot? Trying to find some spots to practice.

  • It is a private Ranch

  • very nice.

When I get my s&w mod 36 I now know what to do; practice, practice practise.

  • Thanks for watching and that is the key for sure

  • The running at the end of the video was a bit awkward but good shooting.

  • thanks for watching and for your comments

  • i doubt i could do what you just did though, with any handgun. but rifle and shotgun yes handgun any size, no not me. very very good shooting.

  • Well I thought so too when I first started shooting, this old guy I worked with was out shooting everyone with his snubby and we all had full size 4-6 inch guns. I told him I could never do that. and He said yes you can, and it did not take long and I could the snubby is the same as other guns it is just less forgiving so you have to get used to it, but when you do, you do not even think much about it.

  • Steady Aim Pro.

  • Thanks my friend, please join us on are main page trail boss tv we would love to have you there.

  • Snubbies are only "arms length guns" for the downwardly competent. Nice shooting.

  • @HeadHunter100 Thanks for the compliment but anyone can learn to shoot anything. It is just a lot of people do not want to take the time to learn, does not matter what it is. If some people do not get immediate satisfaction they give up.

  • As Flexmoney put it so well on the Brian Enos Forum: "Improving's not for everyone."

  • My favorite is when they screw with other people just because they can not do it, I always tell them the big secret is practice, I have had guys watch me live and swear there is a sniper in the grassy knoll shooting at the exact same second I am, I just laugh and tell them to go back to and tell the people they hang with never owned a gun how people can not make those shots and it is a trick, because anyone who shoots knows you can with practice. Obviously they don't shoot either

  • lol. i hit the same water bottle at 200yds with a NAA mini .22lr.

  • Is this one of those cases where if you shoot enough your bound to hit something? How often are you hitting at that distance? Using what ammo?

    BTW: Very cool.

  • I hit 5 out of 5 using 158 grn LWC. With a snub at that distance I am not looking for a group I just want to hit the target. It is knowing the gun, and having done shots like this for a long time more than anything. Can do it any day any time? No like everyone I have days I just cannot miss and days I cannot hit a thing or at least where I want to. You will succeed more often than not when you learn your equipment. Never be intimidated to take really tough shots.

  • wow, if its real, its Really impressive,

  • it is real check out our other extreme marksmen videos, thanks for watching

  • I just got a S&W M&P 340 and I'm happy with my 10 yard groupings. My question is at 100 yards do you have to factor in the bullet drop? How much?

  • It depends on the gun I have a stainless I raise the barrel about 6 inches above the target, to make the shot with a lightweight version of the same snub I have to raise almost a foot. With a snub at that distance you are not at all trying to group your shots, all you care about is hitting the target, I can assure you each shot will be a few inches apart

  • i have a 44. mag with 6.5 barrel and i seem to hit towards the left alot but not always. is it my grip? somedays i dont have a prob but others arnt so good any tips would be appreciated. im working on my grip to try and improve but havent been able to shoot it for a while

  • Make sure you have stocks on the gun that fill your hand, if they are to thin it will effect your grip. The web of your hand needs to be high up on the back strap and your trigger in the middle of the pad of your finger, For long distance shots your elbow needs to be locked arm straight. Start close to the target, and make sure you are doing everything right then move back, concentrate on form, if you get frustrated stop shooting and relax, then start again, you will improve in no time

  • i couldnt hit a target at 5 yards with mine and its not because im a horrible aim its because its an unreliable pistol!!

  • you are the only one I ever heard say that, unless you are using a Saturday night special with a bent barrel .If not I have to assume that you are doing something wrong I teach 70 year old woman to hit at 25 yards

  • @shilohtv lol i think im using a saturday night with a bent barrel cause my father who also couldnt hit the target was a marksman in the snub nosed .38 back in the airforce!

  • what mod was this ?

  • Both are Smith & Wesson Modal 29's one is a 6 1/2 inch with adjustable sights the other it a 2 1/2 inch with fixed sights

  • ha i carry one of these n im 13

  • Wow, this guy is fucking awesome! Damn man that is really good 5 stars.

  • Wow! You're a great sharp shooter. My friend and I were laughing a few days ago about when he purchased his .30cal his first few shots at 100 yrd he was missing the target completely. Of course with practice he can make 150 yrd shots with a 5 inch grouping now, but with a .38 snubby @ 100yrds is awesome marksmanship. Thumbs up!

  • I appreciate it, but once you put a few thousand rounds through a gun you get used to it, people do not believe it but anyone who take the time to practice with any gun can do it, and more

  • Yeah, if you could afford the ammo anyways.

  • ya'll QUIT being HATERS!!!!!!!!!!

  • you should make it interesting,

try it blind folded and with both hands tied behind your back. at 400 yards,

    LOL

  • im new to guns. are snub noses usually this accrate? how good are they in just normal self defense?

  • Broduto, the answer is 'No a .38 snub nose isn't generally considered an accurate gun at 100 yards'. This is just damn good shooting =O

It is IMO a great self-defense weapon up to about 20 yards, it's easy to carry due to it's size also.

  • It is good shooting and BT is right the snub was designed for close combat, but, the key to get good at anything, unless you have some physical defect is practice, if you take the time to practice you will be amazed at what you can do

  • I'm tellin' Bob Munden.

  • Memo to self,

Stay on Steve's good side or don't go down range. WOW!! that was some darn fine shooting

  • Sgt, if you can use an electric drill you can do the same with a hand gun same concept point and shoot. I bet if you went out for a couple of weeks, you cold out shoot me. I have been shooting that snubby for a long time, so I know where it is going to hit hold over etc, I just go out and have fun with it.

    Take care,

  • I like your videos a lot you never act like you are someone special and tell everyone they can do as you do, I hate those people who cact like they are the only ones who can do stuff, thanks for being fun and cool

  • Thanks for being so kind. I am not rocket scientist or some kind of prodigy, if you take the time to learn you can do anything you wish. I want people to go out and enjoy the outdoors all we are tying to do is help get them motivated, and hopefully provide some entertainment at the same time.

  • This is awesome! I love watching Steve Doran and Trail Boss's videos!!!! They are hilarious but informative! Keep them coming. I can't wait to see what you do next.

  • I am sure it will be painful or cold John will not give me a pass for tow long before he starts abusing me again.
