MVP is strange. There's nothing to do with being exactly the most valuable, since team record means a lot. Jordan was the best player in AT LEAST 10 seasons, but he only won in those seasons it would be ridiculous not to give him the prize. In fact, winning MVPs has a luck factor, since you not always can choose where are you going to play.
We can't forget that Johnson played in what was considered the best or the second best NBA team in history.

He's probably saying second best in NBA history. First is Johnson. If someone's saying he's the second best nowadays, it's completely lost. Deron Willians is not close. Derrick Rose is just a Kid that has potential, but he's not better than CP3 at now, and that's the point.
I've seen Stockton playing and CP3 has better ball control and a is better scorer. Stockton was better at passing, but I agree with the guy who mentioned CP3's ability to drew defenders attention, making his job easier.

CP3 is the best I've seen playing. I'm not old enough to follow Johnson's prime, but I've seen Stockton a lot. He and CP3 is the best I've seen playing. CP3 is better now than Stockton was at any point in his career, but Stockton has a CAREER. And all CP needs to get there is time.

when he retires i really think he'll be the best pointguard ever to play the game. He distributes the ball very well, is fast as fuck, he makes people look stupid who guard him with his handles, he can shoot, and he's the best defender in the league right now... he made his team a lot better, they have no one and they had a good record last year, CP3 mark my words will be the best PG ever when he retires

he will be.. as in numbers.. but it will be a tossup. hes the best pg in the league (bc of his defense). his team is built exactly like the d'antoini phoenix suns. a shooter, an athletic big.. and a versitile forward. imo, steve nash could put up similar numbers.. if not the same numbers chris paul is putting up, and nash is a better shooter. im still not saying nash is better overall.. offensively, i think he is. but cp3 will have the best numbers, and validility saying he is the best ever

Nash is better at pure passing, and managing the game but CP3 doesn't need to be because his skill at driving and shooting draws defenses to him and allows him easy passes where Nash doesn't draw the same respect from D's.
