Reason was designed to be a synth rack, not a workstation. The developers intended for it to be used as a plugin inside full-featured DAWS like Logic, Ableton, FL Studio, etc.

You can't really compare it to an actual DAW because that's not what it is.

Its not about the software you use. its having the mind to create it. and a good sample library. i create all my tunes on FL9 and i can honestly say its just as good as Reason, Logic etc. Its just finding what suits you best.

@kapowrah yh i know but reason is limited seeing as u cant use VST's or record anything into it, its all midi based and loading a wav sample in there isnt that good either cuz u cant change the tempo without changing the pitch (unless u did this already in recycle)
