It has to do a lot. Than is ever 150 minerals 100 gas. The gas is like double the mineral. Vultures are created faster and every has 3 mines. The strategy is to kill lots of units with smaller loses to gain the advantage over you enemy. Killing so much tanks just from vultures gets you a great chance for comeback ;). Also yellow pushed his vultures too close to nada's tanks range. He could defend the tanks with them. Why he played terran but not zerg btw?
I really don't think this counts as a Pimpest Play; it was good control, but it wasn't anything exceptionally new or amazing, particularly compared to the stuff Boxer's pulled.
I counted a few times i got between 16-20 vults that took out 9 tanks. mineral wise it was an even trade off but gas and time wise it was completely in nadas favor

Boxer always seemed to toy with his opponents, keeping us on the edge of our seats. His gameplay was just so entertaining to watch. A great player is one who controls the game so well that he can pull off amazing stunts without putting his victory at risk.

the only reason pimp plays like boxer's ever worked was because they were unexpected, why do you think no one does the old 'wall-in tank drop' on protoss? its simple; everyone expects this to be done. plus for that to be effective you have to hit a lot of probes and most toss players move the probes as soon as they see the dropship.
There are still many unexpected things that could be done. Dropships don't have to be unexpected in order for them to be effective. Boxer's dropship diversion anyone? Boxer is also still an excellent solid player.
"Boxer's dropship diversion anyone?" now a days no is that stupid to fall for that. everyone has seen it. 1st you lose drop ship ez (100 minerals and gas). 2nd you lose 2 tanks (300/200 minerals and gas). 3rd when the dropship comes you may only get 2-4 probes at that moment before the protoss reacts with control group of 3-4 goon to come kill your "diversion". everyone knows to go target dropship first and move probes to natural expo.
eh only 2-4 probes? Tanks kill probes 1 hit. It will take at least 1 tank hit for you to realize that the tanks are attacking your probe line. That gives the terran 2 hits with each tank. if your mineral line is saturated (as it shoudl be) then that will give around 6-8 kills. Well worth the effort. You can even save the dropship if you actually just micro it. Remember the stupid goon ai?
sigh... do you see any pro players use the tank drop today? obviously not and if so i haven't seen the video. no good protoss player would lose 6-8 probes because good protoss players use pylons where the possible drop could come from for early vision. good protoss players are far to aware to even lose one probe on a tank drop.

Boxer isn't great NOW, but he's the greatest of all time because he MADE starcraft. Just like Tony Hawk made skateboarding, or Johnny Knoxville made getting kicked in the nuts, or Al Borlin made the beard or God made religion. Boxer just made starcraft cool.
u realize that by moving the probes, the protoss players waste time in the amount of minerals they could have been mining had they not moved them. either way, a drop that kills probes or a drop that has them stop mining is VERY effective; especially early game.
the amount of minerals they could have been mining in that amount of time isn't that much actually. you maybe mine about 100-200 minerals well the terran will be set back by about 400 minerals and 300 gas (dropship 100/100 & 2tank 300/100). the protoss assumming they've gone fast expo will still be ahead because they'll have 2-4 goon by that time and another 1-2 being made. terran on the other hand will only have one base mining and maybe another cc being made by that time.

I don't think Nada needs to prove to anyone he's not a joke - he just happens to have 3 MSL and 3 OSL titles, the most of anyone in SC history, to prove that already...
It wasn't really more troops. The mines come with the vultures, and they were all part of the army rather than being considered individual troops. As in aspects of the army.

Vultures are cheap but tanks are expensive (100 gas each) and take lot of time to build. So definetely a pimpest play ( 2 tanks vs 12..).

11 tanks, 5 vultures, 0 mines.
