if that was a nazi mask then that would mean they woulod wear those when they would gas the jews in the chambers... you my friend have a genicide tool no offence to you btw
Actually, back it up. This is a GM-54 from the 1950s. They look so similar, but the GM-30 is made of a canvas-like material backed with rubber while this one is rubberized fabric(almost feels like vinyl). The inhale/exhale assembly is slightly different as well as the head harness. My mistake.
This is actually a late 1930s German GM-30 with a 1950s French filter and a US M9A1 bag. I definitely wouldn't breath through that filter. There is quite the possibility that it could contain a block of blue asbestos. Nice find though. Pretty cool mask. 5*
No problem man. We all make mistakes. I can point you at plenty of places where I have been wrong. I always say put the mistake behind you, take note, and walk away with a little more knowledge. Point aside, I would much rather have one of those than an M9A1, so you did good. Keep it up.
@TheGasmaskcollector The GM30 is made out of rubberized cloth. This one, if i see correct, is made out of rubber. That means, you were right, it is a GM54. The GM30 should have a year stamp on the glasses, on the filter insert point and on the mask inside. And also eagles whit swastika stamps. Search in google for more differences.
