  • it seems verry interesting i would love to do it myself but i do not have the space but its on my wish list lol

  • effing cool

  • you have an awsome bee farm there. they are calm to

  • Your bee suits are laughable, but them I see you are using a fogger and only have two hives. Try dealing with 280 hives and no fogger. You have to wear a full suit and duct tape every thing, even then you may get stung through your boots like I did today.

  • @defiythelie lol, why? they work, and laughable, is using duct tape, that irritates bee's

  • @coteaz8 Duct tape irritates bees ? How so ? I am not talking about taping that hives I am talking about putting tape around were your boots meet your pants and gloves meet your sleeves and taping up every zipper on the suit. At work I deal with swarming bees not calm bees. I unload truck loads and put back together all hives that have been dropped by a fork lift.

  • Scraping off unwanted wax (as seen in video) and throwing every little piece in a smal bucket will build up over time and sell for a nice price!

  • how do you feed the bees? are they collected sugar from flowers or mixed water & sugar baskets near by?

  • Two points: it looks like you added your second hive body too soon. The bees are filling the top body out before nearing completion of the first body.

And you need to open up the entrance reducer. Once you see bees starting to back up at the entrance you should increase the size. With both hive bodies on you could even remove the reducer all together.

    Nice video!

  • Show me the honey!

  • Listening to the bees makes my ear tickle.

  • Great vid!!!

  • Thanks for posting this video! I am looking into beekeeping and really enjoyed it!

  • I am worried does that smoke harm them? what is it called? :(

  • @UmmahTube

The smoke is just woodsmoke, it's gently puffed into the bees to make them think there might be a fire. The natural response to this is to gorge as much honey as they can in case they have to flee the fire, this in turn makes them docile and less likely to become agitated whilst being handled.

  • @frithgar13 yes that is the intended purpose to make them docile but in my working with bees doesn't always happen that way lol

  • @UmmahTube No, smoke does not harm the bees.

  • wow - one week and that much honey?

  • @skye131924 there is more than one week of new bees there - i would say that nuc was put in 4 weeks ago. The honey is not ready as it is not capped.

  • nice vid

  • Great video chayne, i love how your vids are in HD too. btw i love the logo at the end!!!

  • LOL. i like the part when he said bees are like dogs. yeah with nasty stingers
