  • dam thats a nice truck i like the sound too

  • what size tires are those? i like how they arent too wide

  • @GMCownsall 38/12.5/15

  • @dylanguay dude idc what people say this is a nice and bad ass truck i wish i could find 1 like this and it sounds mean haha

  • @big250rmz alot of em do, i had a blue 78 with one of these 400M's.... mine had glass packs too, sounded just like this .mine popped n snapped like that too revin it LOL, and mine just had the stock deuce LOL, love that truck n still miss it.....

  • @CBRHurricane6 yeah there nice trucks i love the sound and i like to piss my teachers off when i go to school with the cherry bombs haha they get so pissed of when i come to school late and i walk into class and shes like oh i could tell ur here hhahah

  • @big250rmz yea my neighbor used to love me....with mine the duals both exited right side....its how the guy sold it to me, made me stand there then started it....to bad the tranny blew like 2 days later LOL....but anyway yea so id park infront of my neighbors house...we had like no front yard and it was right near her window....rev her to like 2.5-3.....she spit a few times (at night you could see a lil flame toungue) she HATED me, cop visits were regular LOL

  • @CBRHurricane6 haha same here the school called the police on me 1 time i did a burnout with my f150 and they called the cops and im like o well

  • @big250rmz yea, mine used to be able to powerbrake her 33's did it for a bunch of kids in a gamestop parking lot once they heard her start up and all ran to the curb givin the old spin em sign, i figured wth, plus i just put a new carb on her so im like lets see if she can do it.....didnt embarrass me well if ya got a facebook look me up /CbrHurricane

  • @dylanguay what brand are those glass packs

  • beautiful truck to be just a mudder

  • sweet truck man sounds great i'd love to see that thing do work!

  • what gears are in the rear?

  • @coolguy112286 3.50

  • @dylanguay ah cool. too many people put big tires on and leave stock gears in. :/

  • @coolguy112286 yeah they are stock gears for now. actually not a bad gear for the mud but not so great for crawlin.

  • if i were to ever own a ford it would pretty much be this exact truck. but with a flat deck and a bit more lift

  • ho do u install

  • whered u get glasspacks and wat size

  • @yz125rider194 - summit racing. 18 inch.

  • that's one mean truck

  • HA! peace of shit! dodge!!!! is louder andf more powerfull

  • @gohabsgo1fan you can take that Dodge ram and ram it up your ass for all I care. Ford and Chevy both beat the hell outta Dodge in both reliablity and power

  • Now that's how everyone shuld fuckin rev up a truck with an awesum exhaust like that !...that's wat u call ATTITUDE !

  • damn dude, that truck sounds fuckin mean

  • It aint very loud but still sounds good

  • eww i fuckin love it!!

  • how long r the glasspacks

  • @MRwhitepower1000 18 inch

  • what do you think with four to five inch stacks on a 1978 ford f250 351m 4x4

  • @supermuddigger24 i had 5" stacks on my 78 with long tube headers and 12" glasspacks. sounded awesome. even got a flames out the top a few times on downshifts. it is on cardomain if you want to see what they looked like... search ford, 1978-1978. it is blue with a white top. should be within the top ten rides.

  • fuckin nasty

  • i also have a 1980 F 350 with a 400m with headers and glass packs, along with a carter 650 4 barrel carb. and i have a 6" lift with a 3" body and 40" groundhawg tires

  • has a really nice deep sound to it, and what kind of headers do you have?

  • @MegaFord1980 - not sure they were on it when i bought it.

  • you also get that sound by having a bad ass ford great truck man i love it already

  • Ya know i always argue the sound quality of a good high flow muffler over glasspacks but watching this reminded me of the 76 428 powered highboy i had with glasspacks, almost everything sounds better. but nothing sounds quite as mean and nasty as a glasspack

  • nice exhaust

  • i had an 83 f-250 351w with glasspacks headers, and mild cam, god do i miss it lol

  • I had a 4 door '79 Lincoln Continental. It had the 400M with a very similar exhaust setup. Hearing your truck makes me wish I hadn't sold it...

  • the popping is from the 3" exhaust too

  • that thing sounds pretty mean bud

  • those newly installed glass packs? thay poppin haha. nise truck tho man!! 79 is the best yeer in my opiniun. such solid trucks!

  • hey man i got bored an dtyped glasspacks in on google and saw a pic of your truck just wanted to let you know btw why got glasspacks on my 85 scottsdale

  • This is one sick ass Ford! One of the best years EVER! Sounds great dude.

  • wow thats nasty

  • still think they sound better on chevys fords need to stick with flowmasters

  • how do you get that poping sound in the exhaust sounds awesome!

  • @bowhunterJohn635 - glasspacks man!

  • @dylanguay ok thanks lol are they hard to install and how time consuming are they

  • @bowhunterJohn635 no easy install if your replacing a muffler with them just get the same length and diameter as the muffler

  • @dylanguay yup glass packs are damn easy to put in i just put hooker headers on my 79 f150 the same as urs and straight pipes all the way back 2 3/4 in all the way back with 3in tips

  • @dylanguay Actuall exhaust pulse (the popping) comes from any straight through muffler or straight pipes

  • @bowhunterJohn635 a big cam

  • @bowhunterJohn635 sometimes popping is also when your timing is a little off too, the fuel mixture could be burnt a little too late or early, and then pop through the exhaust or back through the intake

  • awesome truck it sounds real good

  • Stroke(crank) and pistons and valves are different between the 351(5.8) and the 400(6.6) head were slightly different but much more stroke and a bigger bore. Same engine family though.

Nice truck. Wish I hadn't wrecked mine.

  • id put it on the road

  • sounds awsome man!

  • were did u buy ur exhaust i have the same truck but having a hard time finding the daul exhaust

  • @tomfulton85 - i built it from the headers back. bought the pipe from brake service(its like a heavy equipment auto parts store around my way) got 3 ten foot sections. The collectors, glasspacks, and h pipe came from summit.

  • Nice sound!!

  • that sounds sick man did you notice any power gains or losses because i was wantin to run 3 in exhaust on my 1979 ford f250 supercab with a stroked of 460 and people say i wont have enough back pressure

  • @Farmall427 - well i can't say for power gains or losses either way. only headers were on it when i got it and the 3 inch is the only thing i've had on it. with the 3 inch you'd prob gain horsepower at higher rpms and maybe lose a little low end torque. I'm happy with torque mine makes it pulls strong and screams when i really get on it and 3 inch has its own unique sound. 2 1/2 inch might be more of a happy medium if your worried about back pressure.

  • all a man needs. truck that shoots flames ^_^

  • now thats a truck

  • NICE! Check my 79 out

  • what transmissions in it?

  • @cars463 4 speed manual. np435.

  • @dylanguay is it a 302 or a 351

  • @blake437 neither. its a 400.

  • @dylanguay you sir are incorrect because a 400 came in f250 and up then the 460, you have a 351m, basically a 400 block with 351 heads ;)

  • @unleashtheanimals haha i know the 400s don't come stock in 150s, just because it didn't come with it from the factory doesn't mean you can't put it in. its a 400.

  • @dylanguay

    does come stock i owned 2 78 F-150s with 400s

  • @CplHarris93 - yeah that makes sense actually because they came in the broncos stock. thanks for the correction.

  • @unleashtheanimals haha,fail

  • @unleashtheanimals

dude i dont think so my family has owned these trucks for years and they put 400s in F-150s and in 79 they put the 460s in the 150s. So you must not know anything at all. I owned 2 78 f-150s with a 400 and it says right on the door jam. 351m and 400 are basicly samething just different heads thats about the only thing you know.

  • @CplHarris93 well at least i didnt get a ford vs chevy argument started lol

  • @CplHarris93 and you should get your facts straight. The heads on a 351m and a 400 are exactly the same. The difference between the two is the crankshaft and the piston.

  • @pacemiester hey asshole i think ik what im talking about the heads are different and so is the crankshaft and the piston my family has owned these trucks for years i grow up around 73-79s so you have no idea what ur talking about.

  • @CplHarris93 As has mine. I also have family who worked in ford. The only time there was a head differance was in 71 because it was a 4v head. That was also before the 351M was even around. When the 351M and 400 were offered in the truck as standard equipment (77-79) The only difference was pistons and crank. the heads are EXACTLY the same. Do you research.

  • how much did it cost from headers to tailpipes?

  • @FordPlay79 - $200. without the headers, they were already on it.

  • dang shoot boy

  • what brand is that 4 inch lift and who makes the body lift ?

  • @83ford351w - honestly not sure. the lift was in it when i got it. Shocks are Rancho but i dont know if thats what the lift is, could be.

  • what size lift and tires is that? i love the all black look btw. badass shortbed man.

  • @daltonjames22 thanks its 4" suspension and 3" body. tires are 38x12.5x15

  • fuck dude thats sounds so good im trying to get a 1970s ford myself but nice truck man

  • Have you done any upgrades to the drivetrain? like f250 stuff? I have the same truck with a 3inch body and 4inch suspension and im wondering if it will take the abuse

  • @lp684 - nope all stock for now. i've gone through a couple from axle shafts but partly my own fault. if you drive it right it'll hold up. when i do upgrade i'm goin chrome moly shafts instead of f250 housings.

  • @dylanguay Yeah I've heard the half ton stuff holds up pretty well. I guess I'll run it until it breaks. They are sick trucks

  • @lp684 Hell yeah man

  • @lp684 yeah. I've heard the half ton stuff on these trucks hold up pretty well. I guess Ill run it till it breaks.

  • I know our engines aren't anything alike, but i'd think that the collectors for the headers should exit at the same point for the most part. Do you have any pictures you could email me or show me on photobucket? Or make another vid just showing the whole exhaust setup? I'm trying to see how headers work/fit on these trucks...

  • @ndubb1 - yeah i can get you some pics or maybe a vid but it probably won't be right off, the truck is at my parents place, but i can do it the next time i go there.

  • @dylanguay yea i'm not doing anything exhaust wise for at least a year so i'm not in a rush. whenever is fine, just try and get a good vid or pictures from the engine bay to the bottom where the headers go and how the exhaust is bent wherever it is

  • @dylanguay when you get those pictures can I get some to? I'm trying to figure out how to route the exhaust around the t-case

  • fucking beatiful i love it

  • Mines still all stock. But it's an F250 and has the same motor. 400. Mine also rocks back and fourth with the touch of the petal. But nice. And like i said, since its stock, Stock wires, Carb, and fuel lines... I just got a new cap and rotor for the distributor.

  • how much did that cost and did u do it your self?

  • @ps3fanboy1885 - yeah did it myself for about 200 bucks

  • @dylanguay thanks

  • What carb do you have on that 400? I have a '77 with a 400, and the original 2 barrel.

  • @christopher5361 - edelbrock model 1405. 600 cfm 4 barrel. on top of an edelbrock streetmaster 400 intake.

  • Nice truck!! Sounds pretty good

  • wat size lift, im supposed to get a truck exactly like it with a 6 inch lift and im wondering if its the same

  • @seanmccullough67 - 7 inch. 4 inch suspension and 3 inch body.

  • @seanmccullough67 - 7 inch. 4 inch suspension and 3 inch body.

  • did you do anything to the front end for the bit rubber? or just lift it?

  • sounds good! nice truck -i cant understand why bikes can be so loud- but trucks can't

  • oh man i love how nasty fords sound. this truck is bad ass.

  • lucky ass down here in va your exhaust would get a $500 fine for being to loud lmao im jealous of you hahaha

  • @shopdawg85 - oh yeah you'll get a fine around here too, i've just been lucky enough not to run into any cops, not to many of them around my way.

  • @dylanguay maybe i can get lucky kuz the engine and exhaust i design is as loud if not loud than urs...i spec'd a 460 CI bored 60 over with sohc lunati roller rockers hydro. lifters all ford detroit racing parts shorty headers into 2 1/4 inch in dual glasspacks....but no h pipe...if you see my video u will see the truck....my project sounds crazy but slowly its coming together lol

  • thats about what my 87 sounds like except i have str8 pipes into dual turbo mufflers with no h pipe but sounds sweet.....where u from tho?

  • @shopdawg85 - Embden, Maine

  • you dont have staight pipes if you have turbo mufflers str8 pipes mean no cats, mufflers,or resonaters you have true duals...sounds like you need to spend some more time in the shop and not on your chain pup.

  • @TheFordshaker yea thats what i have is 2 1/4" true duals but i am removing the mufflers soon tho it does sounds sweet

  • i didnt say i had true duals.sounds llike you need to lean how to read

  • hell yeah boy!! that shit sounds nice cuz!

  • what size is the glass packs

  • @cheynan - 18 inches long, 3 inch diameter

  • same motor,w a 4 spd as well. i have long tube headers straight piped into super dynomax mufflers w school bus pipes.

  • sexy truck

  • you wouldnt wanna trade would ya? lol love it man what tires you runnin?

  • @woody71130 - haha thanks. super swamper tsl's 38x12.50x15.

  • that's a bad ass truck u got there i love them old fords they are solid as hell and love the sound of it it's awsome

  • @MrRanger89 - thank you

  • wanna sell it?

  • @MxRider4lyfe - haha

  • Comment removed

  • love ur truck i got a 79 f250 lifted with some 38;s on it, if u check out brianthebadasses truck for sale thats the one i bought

  • @PowerstrokeDude97 - thanks, tough lookin 79 you got too. but doesn't look like a f250 looks like a 150 with a 3/4 ton rear end.

  • that sounds sweet fords are the best in tha mudd in my opinion

  • @neon0princess - thanks, great opinion too by the way

  • @neon0princess not an opinion. its a fact

  • r manual transmissions better for mudding. if so how would u mud with it. i have a 5 speed f150 and im just wondering cuz i want to mud

  • @jdshaq - yeah i like em better for mudding. just put it in the highest gear that you can keep the engine rpms up in while going through. I run in 2nd gear in 4 Low. But it really depends on the truck (motor, gears, size of tires)

  • @dylanguay

cool. ya i have a 300 i6 f150 with 32s. in yur mudding videos, you went pretty fast for 4 low lol do you just shift really quick. thanks for the advice bro and nice truck

  • @jdshaq - i just take off in 2nd and hold it, no shiftin.

  • @dylanguay

cool man. hey can you take a look at my
