Mana is such an inspiration for me (as he is for many I am sure) because I grew up listening to Malice Mizer as a little kid. He encourages you to be you, and not let anyone bring you down, and to love your world and everything in it. I often feel discouraged from being a goth loli because I have had many bad experiences in the western loli community, but as Mana says, it's about bringing out who you are, not wearing brands or clothes to be cool or fit in or be trendy. That's real beauty.

It depends on what their exact style is. The style is known as "gothic lolita", yes, but there are many lolitas. Some are sweet lolitas, others are white lolitas or black lolitas, gothic lolitas, classic lolitas and so on. It depends on the person how he/she would want to be.

@XTheWickedShadowX Yes, that's true. Even if you dress up in gothic lolita that doesn't mean you have to change yourself, you can act like you usually do. Though it's commonly known that lolitas are, hm, well, polite, soft-spoken and won't start shouting random profanities or something.xD It goes will the image.^_^ You can turn it into a lifestyle, you can be a full-time gothic lolita or dress up only on occasion, it's up to you.^^ I hope I helped, I'm not much of an expert myself, though.

haha o Mana lol I've watched a number of interviews with him and he has always avoided speaking. Once Malice Mizer and the interviews tricked him and told him the camera was off, so they'd catch him talking haha. I think it has to do with his very deep voice. It kinda destroys the doll-like facade he tries to create.

Well, actually he is a very shy person and ever since the beggining he didn't like to talk in front of cameras. His thoughts on that are that there is no need for him to speak as his voice is the music he creates. Heh, some people think he doesn't want to ruin the lolita look with his deep voice, others that he doesn't like his voice(that one is a bit stupid though) xD I just think that at first he was too shy, and people got used to him not speaking, I guess. ^^

At first, it was because he felt so shy that he tried to never speak out loud, but now that it's become one of his trademark characteristics, maybe he's accepted himself more, and decides to roll with it and have fun with it instead.
