A defamation,libel, slander, and false light civil suit includes any act, suggestion or inference that leads the listener to believe something untruthful or misleading about another. Even gestures, tone of voice, or a raising of an eyebrow could qualify.

I don't think anyone would have had a problem with being called name in this situation. The problem arises when a misrepresentation leads to public ridicule, and hatred.
It's an action that forces someone to defend themselves against another persons unnecessary false accusations which have caused a harm.
Harassment of subscribers was also an issue. People were forced to take measures they normally wouldn't.

Of course that's my argument, neither of use have any way to prove the legitimacy or illegitimacy of the alleged sock accounts, therefore we are both making arguments to the feasibility or likelihood of this conspiracy of one. The only people that could offer conclusive proof that the accounts are real are the people whom own the accounts, short of that it's just odds, and even some people are already making excuses for the accounts uploading videos.
Still waiting on an estimate from you.

Stating that it's a simply task is hardly a meaningful retort. It's not. Logging into all those accounts and watching hundreds of videos on each is a very time consuming process for 100 accounts let alone 1,000 or more accounts.

That are real people. Who would use Youtube if they are going to be so restricted as to only watch his videos and the videos of his related channels? Let's not forget how much time it would take to make a significant number of sock accounts, even if you devote all your time to it, HTWW ha 11,500 subscribers, under the most generous of circumstances he can't be more than a tiny percentage of those.
This becomes a logistical nightmare, remembering all the logins for all those accounts, even if you use the same password, the username is different. I'm sure a program could be written to do it but now we are entering the realm of tin foil hats.

I watched the video about sock accounts and commented pointing out a major flaw in his logic most if not all of the accounts in question have over 200 videos viewed and had logged in within several days of when the video was made so unless they think you're desperately trying to make it look legit and spending EPIC amounts of time to do this then they really have no shred of proof or intellectual clout and can simply be ignored. and if that is what they think well then ill just call them nuts

If his sub list was private, would he sacrifice the privacy of his subscribers to combat a "criticism". In quotes because its an very heavily implied accusation with little if any proof.
