I know of a 1989 Jody show filmed at the Beacon in NY. However, it was fan shot from the balcony so not only was it quite unsteady it was very poor quality as well. That's the earliest and only live Jody show I know of.
@riddim3456 By "whole tape" do you mean the entire Award show program? If that's the case I do have it but this was the only segment that I converted to a digital file.

Watley continues to be the ultimate artist here....she combines a soulful delivery with a strong stage prescence and and a beautiful set design. Truly underrated throughout the 90s.
Jody is an independent artist who owns her music; she is ahead of the curve with the business side of things as well as artistically because she can grow her own brand. She doesn't have the pressure of a label executive trying to pull her strings and she doesn't have to go multi-platinum as a label owner...she can sell in the 100K range and make more money than an artist on a major label selling 1 million. Who is going to pay you better than you pay yourself?
