@GrayJamesOfficial Not necessarily -- the most important thing is to organize your ideas clearly and have a point to interpret. If you try to keep your ideas in one sentence it may get hard to read.

I LOVE NHD! I'm doing a senior individual performance on British abolition of the slave trade...it's truly fascinating (watch the movie Amazing Grace and read Olaudah Equiano's "Interesting Narrative" if you're interested). Best of luck, everyone.
While her thesis does fit the criteria said at the end, it still simply states facts, in my opinion. Yes, it was a turning point, and yes, Lee did take a gamble and eventually lose because of it, but is that really what constitutes a thesis statement? Is simply repeating what a book says about your topic sufficient for history day?
Not terribly wrong, but any instructional video has to shoot at a good starting point for teachers to build upon. It won't help a sixth grader to throw things that are a little too complex at them right at the beginning. One step at a time...
Great video, especially since so many projects lack a thesis statement, or have one that doesn't work too well.
However, while I agree that the third one is the best out of the bunch, shouldn't NHD promote higher interpretation than that presented in the third one?
