I think the next big event in the history of Christianity will be when we finally have access to freely learn the original languages our holy scriptures are written in. Because there are some difficulties with translating the scriptures and therefore the translators must choose a translation that best fits the majorities view or their view of what the scripture teaches. Where I think when it comes to something as precious as God's word we should be free as possible in how we interpret it.

There were many Jehovah's witnesses that willingly suffered for Christ's name. At every point in time they had the oppurtunity to sign a piece of paper denouncing their faith, but few ever did.
How do I know this? Because he even referenced this verse as he was dying on the cross with the words "Eloi, Eloi Lema Sabachthani" (which means "My God, My God why have you forsaken me?"). (Mark 15:34).

Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning. 2 O my God, I cry by day, but You do not answer; And by night, but I have no rest. 3 Yet You are holy, O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel. 4 In You our fathers trusted; They trusted and You delivered them. 5 To You they cried out and were delivered; In You they trusted and were not disappointed. (NASB) And these are the thoughts/words of Jesus as he dies for all mankind.
@midgetgurly747 Please don't get offended by this remark but I don't really like comments like that because although God's love never fails but in this life terrible things can still happen to us and there's a high likelihood that amoungst those that lost their houses some were in fact devout christians. God gave them plenty of chances but they blew it. God couldn't back down on His word. So he had to punish them. Later on in the new testament though He sent His son Jesus to free us from the law. Jesus Christ gives us a life that is free from the chains of sin and death. And He gives us eternal life in Heaven with Him.

A good God would probably speak to people to advise them of all the reasons that they should not commit crime or switch them off. Like you I think that there is no God. This song is so encouraging. My little cousin is battling between life and death. The doctor's have diagnosed him with brain death and then revoke their diagnoses. I love this song, and am religious, but I don't think you have to be.
You can relate it to anything you beleive in, wether that thing is spiritual, physical, or anything else you chose to put your faith in.
Love can apply to everything. Spread the word <3

@ndzoko and @ zytigon I know both of you have said you don't believe in God but I pray that one day you will. I know sometimes it seems like God hates us but would a God who hated us send His only son to die in our place? He loves both of you and everyone soooooooo much. I hope that some day youn realize that before its too late

@ndzoko and @zytigon something you should know. God had set up rules and had told the people multiple times don't do these things or you will have to be punished. God gave them plenty of chances but they blew it. God couldn't back down on His word. So he had to punish them. Later on in the new testament though He sent His son Jesus to free us from the law. Jesus Christ gives us a life that is free from the chains of sin and death. And He gives us eternal life in Heaven with Him.

If God sent Jesus not to condemn the world but to save it then surely he would succeed ! 1 Tim 4v10 says that God is the saviour of all men, and especially those who believe. Would a god damn people for trusting that a good God would save everyone? Could Jesus forgive those who had committed the worse social crimes and yet not forgive those who think the Bible stories sound like fairytales & fiction?Try Robert M. @ndzoko Well that is what people claimed about God. I agree that a good God wouldn't order the death penalty for the behaviours you listed. A good God would probably speak to people to advise them of all the reasons that they should not commit crime or switch them off. Like you I think that there is no God. However I can see good points in the Bible like the golden rule & don't murder, rape or steal . The grace of a loving God would be sufficient for me, nothing shall separate us from love

This song is so encouraging. My little cousin is battling between life and death. The doctor's have diagnosed him with brain death and then revoke their diagnoses. Our God doctor of doctors has promised us otherwise and we put our faith in his word! His love never fails, never gives up, and never runs out on me!

Jesus is King of kings and Lord of Lord, he's our blood-brother, paid our debt completely and made us innocent, never to be condemned again anymore..Its wonderful, isn't it. Yes, we belong to the same spiritual family and will surely meet one day.

Last night at church, the band played 3 songs, and we sang along. No one really sang to the first two as much, and this one, everyone got into it. You could tell Jesus was in every one of our hearts. I know I felt it. I was one of the most powerful moments I've ever had at Church. Like if you've had an experience similar. <3 First Baptist Hattiesburg!
