  • this has nothing to do with the video but i have some duddies of mine that i now call the Pussy Whooped Crew and your license plates have tose nitials lmao....nice ride by the way

  • thats exactly what i want to do to mine

  • i know you probably explained this before, but i dont feel like going through 10 pages to look for it...What do you mean by fully built motor? what have you done to it???

  • @lethaldosage6040

pistons, rods, crank, balanced and blueprinted. A built shortblock!!

  • @conroyz28 i wana do this to mine but damn....getting all the details would be difficult and annoying. just gonna leave it at this, badass car.

  • what model number are those comp cams?

  • you should aim to get 888 bhp to match your plate :D

  • what does stage 4 mean? I would rather know the specs on this cam.

  • you people who leave these stupid comments prob couldnt afford to put gas in the car let alone a cam job.

  • i doubt it costs anywhere near that cheap for a pushrod engine.

  • how much does it cost to install cams?

  • Around $300-400 I've heard. On an OHC motor, though, the cams aren't hard to put in yourself, provided you have the proper tools. I've helped replace a cam on a friend's 5.0 (pushrod/OHV motor) and it was a PITA compared to overhead cam swaps.

  • I would much rather do a cam on an OHV motor then on a SOHC or DOHC motor lol

  • Damn! Any reason why?? I've helped do cams on a Civic before (DOHC b16), and it was really easy compared to a 5.0 IMO.

  • For me the timing chain setup is easier on an OHV Motor, a lot more room in the front to move my hands around and get the cover off. I dunno, the only SOHC and DOHC motors I've done are Mercedes Benz's (Factory Trained Mercedes Tech) but I greatly prefer doing a single cam on an OHV then doing a SOHC or DOHC motor, a lot less marks to line up, a lot less special tools needed (at least in this case) and I actually Enjoy having to lash the valves like on a 350 Chevy :D

  • Understood! To each their own, definitely. As a trained Mercedes Tech, I'm sure the simplicity of a pushrod SBC/SBF cam swap would be an awesome change from the technical side of automotive work like Mercedes.

  • @Heezy2090

    it was free

When I had my motor built. Gave GEARHEADS in Arlington,Tx the cams and they swapped them out

  • Can anyone tell me what a camshaft and or supercharger does to the factory warranty? if you get it done by ford will they not void it?

  • If I'm not mistaken, you can put a 5 PSI Roush Charger on a '05+ Mustang and retain the factory warranty.

  • as long as you get a roush, saleen, or shelby supercharger installed by a certified technician, respectively, then your warranty shouldnt be void, but consult your local ford dealer before installing any forced induction or supercharges

  • voids it

  • @cliffymorris

depends on where you take it for service

  • were all sure it sounds good man we just couldnt hear it how about a few revs or a launch or something

  • faggot!!?? HAHAHA

  • lol

  • I must agree with

    NCRamUSMC

  • i am truely jealous

  • how much did it cost to get it installed

  • Lope has a lot to do with tuning and idle set speed. I have mine at 900rpm and this one sounds like it's about the same. too much lope and you're dying with a manual trans.

  • haha yea got a vette with the lsx 427 and got the lope reallllll low and it dies constantly

  • stock mufflers?

  • @charger12

    flowmasters

  • That is a perfect sounding street cam for a late model. Just enough to know you got something, nics smooth tone, bet it barks when you stab it and makes good torque everywhere. This coming from a Chevy guy.

    Nice ride

  • how much is involved putting the comp cam in ur mustang, because i am thinking about doing a cam in my gt mustang

  • it would sound alot better if it was louder....but its clean...my dad has a 79 442 cutlass....the motor he's puttin in it has a comp cams cam with 300deg. duration 250deg." @.050 lift .560lift.....its bad ass....the motor hes got now is smaller but it has a cam chirp in it....its bad ass

  • i bet it's bad ass

  • thats not a bad lope at all, i like

  • Did you have to switch out the valve springs?

  • yes.. Switched them out with some stiffer springs..

  • Where do you live in TX? I'd love to talk about those cams. Considering cam swap in mine as well...

  • Sounds great. I was wondering what kind of mods or if any are needed when installing these or any performance cams?

  • love procharger tho. sick car!!!

  • i didnt think it was a good idea to go higher than stage 2 w/ a blower

  • thats y he has a fully built motor

  • thats one sick ride you got. sounds and runs amazing. did you go with teh supercharger first or the cams? I am going to throw in a novi2200 on mine but love the cam sound too. DId you haev to rebuild the bottom end? I was told once that the stock crank can only handle 500rwhp. Did teh cams make a big difference? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to follow a successful build like yours so I can have the fun that you are.

  • What are you running for exhaust on that beast?

  • I am running BBK longtubes, offroad x-pipe and flow master mufflers....

  • how much for those that pretty much exactly what i will start off with

tell me the price including installations

  • really? cause the comp. camshaft IV description says it has a VERY VERY rough idle, so its just rough as hell on the outsie but cool on the in?

  • how bad would you say the idle is? is it like shakey as fuck? cause it definitely sounds badass as fuck! beautiful car

  • When your in the car you cant even tell really that it has a cam.. very muild inside....

  • idle is perfect..When in the car nothing rattles or vicrates.. Its the perfect cam in my opionin
