Yipes was amazing around this time. Now he's picking vergil and dante, no more storm, loyalty, his magnus needs storm again. life would be complete but he's still picking and top tourney choices rather then being loyal to the team that made him an evo champ. I still root for him though, I still wait for his Character loyalty to return...

@dennyyoung215 It's a different game, with different rules, and lots of new characters. Why do you have to keep picking the same characters in different games just because you played them before? Fanatiq has this problem, and I'm sure he could kick my ass for free, but how much better do you think he'd place in tournaments if he would just pick a team with better synergy? Not necessarily better characters tier-wise, but a better team overall?

@Calcos323 Im not saying he can't pick new characters i'm just saying he's obviously very loyal to Magnus from MVC2 but alot of people kinda shat on Storm and not too many people keep her around for like you said strategy but I just think it would be nice sometimes for people to pick characters not just to win but because they actually enjoy those characters. Skill determines what characters are good not characters. I use phoenix vs viscant's phoenix he won because of skill not Phoen

@dennyyoung215 A few players keep folks from their old games like clockwork but I just think there's nothing wrong with character loyalty, not everyone agrees but sometimes it garners more respect for players who can curbstomp with arthur vs the wesker wolvie, sent drones of "skilled" players who keep them for what they are worth in terms of tier. You know there's frauds when you see tons and tons of weskers, wolvies, phoenix type teams etc, skill sorts out the good from rest.

@dennyyoung215 MvC3 is still a different game with a completely different system. I completely agree with you, and think that people should pick characters based more on personal preference rather than looking at the latest tier list (Justin Wong and Iron Fist is a good example), but throughout the MvC series, team synergy has always been number 1. Mag, Storm, and Sent doesn't have that synergy anymore, and Fanatiq would be better off switching a couple of things around.

@dennyyoung215 He still runs MSS in UMvC3, and that's really his biggest problem. It was fine in vanilla, but the team doesn't work as well as it used to. His strong character loyalty is holding him back as a player.

@TheProjectdinitial5 Not saying your YT video has horrible sound quality just that the sound of the actual video file itself is horrible quality. My guess is the sound was coming from speakers so that everyone can hear the game. Recording sound from speakers (especially in a big crowd like this) will always result in horrible quality.

@Pilgrimage85 Agree with you and with AveMcree... though i own this game, and i like playing it online... the teams are always the same, the assist spam, though, it requires a lot of ability to play like this guys play, and do what these dudes do, this is not really what the games should be like, the real idea of this game, it's to play with your "dream team" not the same teams always, that's why i enjoy seeing people play with other chars. MvsC3 seems to be much enjoyable, like TvsC. Nice vid.

Not this assist shit, I played someone recently in this game and they had no idea what moves were, I managed to hit Shuma Gorath's Death Dimension 4 times, why? Because the guy probably has been playing that cheap assist way for way to long to remember what actual moves do.

The way I play I actually do characters moves, not just spam assists.

I don't just focus on one aspect (assists) and call that a game strategy.

@Pilgrimage85 that's not what these guys are doing either. They use the assists in the exact way they are suppose to be used, but they also use the characters themselves to their full potential. Like at 00:50 or 3:11 or 3:31 on.

It's clear that you don't play this game often. I assume you only play online with XBL or PSN. Learn the game a bit more and maybe this won't seem like just a bunch of assists... or just move on.

Yipes and Chris shmidth are the ones who gave CPR to mvc2. Fatty wong and Sanford were the top two players at the time but they would play with the cheapest teams available in the entire game and when they would play each other it was sure to be a snooze fest (BORING). Thanks Yipes and The problem for keeping mvc2 alive!!!
