The Ryu's fatal flaw was his lack of patience. Should've walked in more instead of jumping and throwing out those Tatsu's and Sweeps. If you fight a good Q you have to look at it this way: Worst thing Q can do to you if you play patient and walk in is Kara-Throw you, that's it. I'd rather take the risk of getting thrown and having a little bit of damage done to me rather then just throwing something out there and getting punished by almost 50%.
He was actually born in Mexico City in 1982 as "Diego Umejuarez," but his biological parents were killed in a volcanic eruption. He was later adopted by a Japanese couple and given his current name in order to better assimilate with the culture.
This Ryu is good, no doubt about it. But he's up against Kuroda, arguably one of the best 3s players ever. But he didn't look like a scrub to me. He actually had some noticeable zoning and spacing technique.

Yeah you're definitely right about that.
Kuroda is arguably the best 3s player. He definitely plays the game on a completely different level that VERY FEW players can play on.
