It was written almost a century later by an anonymous author.
I'd also cite biblical scholar Frank Zindler, who argues there's not even sufficient evidence of human habitation in lands called Nazareth or Bethlehem at the time. & if you look at the last chapter of each Gospel, every single aspect of the finding the tomb story is contradicted by at least one other gospel. I was unable to corroborate Mr. Slick's Ka'aba dimensions as 60x60x60 feet. Figures varied, as the walls are not uniform and the structure is not a literal cube; thus, the measurements are averaged. Following are the different dimensions I found: 50x35x40, 43x36x42, 39x32x47 (all in feet).
However, Google Earth does list the Ka'aba as being 666 nautical miles from Jerusalem's Temple Mount. See, "the Temple at the Center of Time" for more information on that.

Just because there's a shitty movie gets all the facts wrong arrives at the same conclusion doesn't mean no valid reason for arriving at the same conclusion exists. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Zeitgeist aside, there's no good historical evidence to support the existence of Jesus simply as a historical figure, let alone one of supernatural origins. The gospels don't corroborate each other. There's no archaeological evidence, contemporaneous accounts, or enemy attestation.

@mjr256 No evidence? There are Roman and Jewish historians to verify the existance of a Jew named Y'shua in first century Israel that was crucified. The gospels not collaborate claim is really a mediocre attempt by militant atheists to debunk Christianity. The gospels share the same exact central story with few differing details. And archeological evidence for the existance for one man in an area that has seen centuries of bloodshed should be little. What evidence is expected?

If you're referring to Josephus, pseudo-historians have greatly misled the public as to his writing. While Christian apologists love to mention Josephus, their favorite passage, the more explicit one, is a known forgery and the passage about Jesus having a brother named James is specifically and explicitly referring to Jesus Bar Damneus (Jesus Son of Damneus),

The gospels disagree on almost every significant point from whether Jesus' family believed he was the son of god, what day he was crucified, his final moments, # of witnesses, who discovered the empty tomb & what they did afterward--hardly superficial errors (See: historian Bart Ehrman). & given that this "one man" is supposed to have risen from the dead, performed miracles & revealed himself as the son of god--you really don't expect evidence?

I've already stated what evidence historians require. & if you admit there's so little evidence for it, it begs the question why you would believe something so extraordinary based on so little evidence in the first place. I'm not saying there couldn't have at least been a historical Jesus, only that the evidence is insufficient to believe in one. You on the other hand seem to be saying you have reasonable certainty he did exist & was the son of god despite the evidence being "little."

For the record the evidence is not little, the Gospel of Luke has many elements of historical references that help pinpoint the times and places for starters.... If you really care about discovering this for yourself or a long drawn out discussion... I'll be your huckleberry but I'd prefer to direct you toward some good christian and non christian literature

But citing the Gospels as evidence is like me citing Action Comics #1 as evidence that Superman is real. You have to do better than that, especially given how much Luke disagrees w/ Matthew, Mark & John about just about every aspect of the Jesus story. It was written almost a century later by an anonymous author.

I'd also cite biblical scholar Frank Zindler, who argues there's not even sufficient evidence of human habitation in lands called Nazareth or Bethlehem at the time. & if you look at the last chapter of each Gospel, every single aspect of the finding the tomb story is contradicted by at least one other gospel. These are not minor details. If you're idea of historical analysis is to assume your predetermined conclusion from the start & then try to build a case for it, you're doing it wrong.

There are extra-biblical accounts for the existence of the life of Christ....the gospels corroborate each other and meet judicial standards of evidence. It takes integrity to examine all of the evidence with an open mind, and not just rely on anti-christian rants. The fulfillment of the hundreds of Messianic prophecies alone give evidence of a supernatural power at work.

I cited my sources in the comments you're replying to. A major one is the Bible itself. You should check it some time. Not a very good read but an enlightening one. I'll also cite Biblical scholars Frank Zindler, Bart Ehrman, Robert M. Price & Richard Carrier, to name a few. If as you claim, there are contemporaneous extra-biblical accounts of Jesus, cite them. Any1 can make blanket statements like you're ignorant or you're misled; I'd like to see you back it up. I've already cited a Biblical contradiction found by reading the final chapter of each of the 4 Gospels back to back. They disagree in almost every way from who was there, what time of day it was, if the stone was already moved or was moved by angels in their presence, if the body was in the tomb, if other people were in the tomb & if they told any1 what they found. 1. Just not very carefully, it seems. Read the last chapter of Matthew & record every detail of the tomb story. Then do the same for Mark on a separate sheet of paper. Then Luke. Then John. Then compare the info on each sheet of paper. I'm not saying to just take my word that there's disagreement on every detail; you can see for yourself. What time of day? Who was there? Was the stone already moved? Was any1 already there? Did they tell any1? It's right there in the book.
