oh my god. i love you so much <3 im 14 and im 5'7, obviously tall, and even taller for my age. and im still growing. i have eczema on my face as well. i cant tell you how it feels to know someone that understands how it feels. its horrible, my skin goes through these flareups about once a week and it would get so dry and unbarebly itchy and bright red and the corners of my lips would crack and now i have huge scars around my mouth and on my face where my nails peeled the skin right off.
Where do you find jeans that are reasonably priced? I am fairly tall and thin and I just can't find black jeans that are long enough and are well made. Btw, I have scoliosis, two bodies together, and eczema! Twins!
I also have scoliosis. And I am tall. 5'10" it is for me. I walked in a brace when I was 11 till my 16th.. Made me so insecure, I always thought people wouldn't like me because of that. But that is now almost 3 years ago and I don't care anymore. Yeah, I wish my scoliosis was gone a lot of the days, because of the pain. But now I am happy again. I know my friends and family love me because of the way I am.

I have scoliosis too. I'm 25 similar body type as you except short 5ft tall and weigh less then 100 lbs. I have the same deal with my waist straight on one side and curvy on the other. Most people don't know unless I point it out. I hate it but I have come to terms with it. It has not stopped me from wearing backless shirts or bikinis because I am happy with myself and my body. I also have eczema also luckily never have gotten it on my face. You are a great role model for young girls/teens!
we have the same imperfections! haha i had very bad scoliosis, i had to get surgery end of jr. year of high school, but i understand the horrible back pain that you get! i also thought i was the only person who got such bad eczema that it cracks and bleeds. its nice to know that i share my imperfections with someone so beautiful, inside and out!
Your nor alone... I have egzema to and she's right it bleeds, and gets dry but mine also itches really bad... It's a pain especially in the winter times!

i have minor scholiosis and i have curves and an hourglass shape and my waist is like slightly different heights so it's so annoying!!!! nobody like notices it but it bugs me so much.
Hahaha you're childhood story is like mine ! I am 14 and 5 foot. Everyone in my highschool (including freshman class) is like 6 foot or more so I feel sooo short all the time, but where we are similar is I pray every night to get taller too haha. She has a large hump on upper right back side. and is also unlevel on each side from growing fast... im going to show her this today... I have to do Pilates all the time because of my back . My spine could not be hold by my muscles anymore because after years of gymnastics I stopped within like 2 weeks and went from going to the gym 6 times a week to not doing any sports at all .
I have Scoliosis, too! I have it really bad, my degree is about a 60 on the top and a 70 at the bottom, but it used to be a lottt worse. I've had two surgeries and I have tow rods and 26 pins down my spine, and I used to have to wear a brace. It was horrrible. haha. You're lucky you're still so tall, though! Because my spine is curved sooo much, I'm only 4 foot 8 inches, and I'm 20 years old. hahaha. My real height should actually be like five foot seven or five foot eight. It sucksss. haha.

I have scoliosis exactly the way you do. EXACT. I have a straight side and an hourglass side, and you kind of help me become okay with that. And I also have extreme pain. I love you. So much. I know this video is really old but I have scoliosis too and I had to wear a back brace for three years. It sucked and I got made of so much for it in elementary school. Even though my spine is technically "healed", my back hurts so badly on some days that I seriously want to do nothing but lay in bed and whine about it. It's nice to know someone as admirable, and sweet as you shares the same imperfection as myself.

Hey carly, this video was amazing and truely inspiring. I had excema as a child but I outgrew it. But it used to be pretty bad I would scratch my skin raw. But what really helped was oatmeal baths. I really reccomend it.

you should try "dream cream" from lush!!! i used to have horrible ecxema but now I apply dream cream every couple of days and it completely went away!! btw, you are gorgeous and i love your videos!! <3

My husband is only 26 and he has the back thing to and arthritis and a gum decease but he has really pretty teeth but with that gum decease it can cause him bad breath but he is always brushing his teeth and chewing gum at first I was like your weird but he grew on me but anyways they have a medicine out for the back thing so if it gets to bad try it out

I know how you feel :( my spine actually shifted my rib cage as I was growing so now my ribs stick further out than they should and I have trouble losing weight because if I lose too much I'll look really sick.
Ahh I know exactly what you mean about the scoliosis thing mine is exactly the same. I've found that most people don't notice it though or they just think I'm standing awkwardly. But yeah mine's pretty bad so I feel ya.

i have a 20 degree curve and my left shoulder is a lot higher than my left (i'm 5'7) and i have to be careful what shirts i wear because sometimes it falls off one shoulder and i can only wear one shoulder things that go on the left side

I have scoliosis as well. An "S" curve. My biggest curve is 45 degrees :( I had to wear a brace for a couple of months when i was in 8th grade, but I finished growing early so I didn't have to wear it too long. My stomach is the SAME way. One of my arms is longer than the other.. well it looks that way. I'm always in pain too, I know exactly what you mean by waking up barely being able to move. It sucks :( you should make a video about it!
im tall too (about 5'10")... but for the longest time i had trouble appreciating it because guys i liked were always shorter, and i felt awkward and self conscious when i would walk with them. but im glad to see another girl who is tall and embraces it!
I have severe eczema too. :( That's why I hate using eyeshadow in the winter, it makes my dryness on my eyes (one of the places I get the dryness most) sooo noticeable :/ Have you tried using elidel? Doubt I'm spelling it right but it deffinately helps me. Just don't use it regularly, my doctor said it could be cancerous if you do.. I hope I helped though!

i have scoliosis as well but mine is acually 85%. its very bad, and i breakdown almost everytime i go shopping because it is sooo hard to conceal my back without looking like im drowning in my clothes. i love fashion though! i hate it, but im praying for a miracle<3
@anothergirll Oh girl I'm so sorry, 85 is bad :( You should really look into the surgery. It's helped a lot of people. It may be painful, but it's worth it. I'm at 45 degrees, but I'm waiting until I absolutely need it to get the surgery. My doctor said I shouldn't get worse though.. Hope all is well :)
I love this tag because it just goes to show that everyone has imperfections but can still be beautiful. All the gurus here on YouTube are so lovely and often seemingly perfect so it's refreshing to know that you have the same insecurities (and health problems!) as some of the viewers. Yours particularly was really interesting since you're right that we had NO IDEA you have scoliosis and eczema. I thought you had great style before but this puts a new spin on just how well you dress yourself.

i have scoliosis, but the worst thing is that as i am 5.3 and i don't seem to grow any taller my scoliosis doesn't get better nor worse...slow growth.

you should try "dream cream" from lush!!! i used to have horrible ecxema but now I apply dream cream every couple of days and it completely went away!! btw, you are gorgeous and i love your videos!! <3

I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which is connectied to scoliosis. I don't have it, but it does suck!

My husband is only 26 and he has the back thing to and arthritis and a gum decease but he has really pretty teeth but with that gum decease it can cause him bad breath but he is always brushing his teeth and chewing gum at first I was like your weird but he grew on me but anyways they have a medicine out for the back thing so if it gets to bad try it out

I know how you feel :( my spine actually shifted my rib cage as I was growing so now my ribs stick further out than they should and I have trouble losing weight because if I lose too much I'll look really sick.

Ahh I know exactly what you mean about the scoliosis thing mine is exactly the same. I've found that most people don't notice it though or they just think I'm standing awkwardly. But yeah mine's pretty bad so I feel ya.

Oh My God!!!!! I have a form of scoliosis!!!!! i'm always in pain too. I also have the half boy half girlie shape too I thought I was so wierd so I never wear bikinis. You totally made my day!!!

no way, i shattered my elbow into tons of pieces, too. i had to get 2 surgeries and screws in. does your elbow still give you trouble? my arm will never be the same anymore

I'm 5' 10 as well and I'm finally coming to terms with my height and startign to like it as I'm living in NYC and gives me modeling opportunities but I have a question I like never wear heels because of it.. do you wear heels often I know you're 5" 11 so I wasn't sure if you were comfortable being so tall w. heels and what's the tallest heel you'll wear.. thanks tall girls should stick together hahahaah DORKKK lol

i have the same skin problem.. exactly. my skin just cracks all the time and i'm allergic to almost everything. i just hate it, i get red just as fast as the speed of light, but lately, i've been feeling a bit better about it, because, just like you said, some of my friends didn't even notice and i have some more friends with the same problem, it makes you feel better if you have someone who understands your problem :) and i just love your videos :)))

i have a 20 degree curve and my left shoulder is a lot higher than my left (i'm 5'7) and i have to be careful what shirts i wear because sometimes it falls off one shoulder and i can only wear one shoulder things that go on the left side

I have scoliosis tooooo; a 22 degree curve. My right shoulder is higher than my left :/ I'm 18 and only 5'3 :[ I wouldn't mind being as tall as you lol.

in fact, im already taller than most of the ADULTS in my town!!
seeing someone as tall as me, it just inspires me!
i mean, ever since i found out how tall you were, while being so chic and sexy, i started wearing heels for no reason because it just makes me feel good!

Your such a confident person and im jealous. I'm 15 and 5'7 maybe taller and I'm so insecure about my height!! Everyone always comments on how tall I am and it's so annoying. All my friends are like under 5'5 and I feel like a giant... Carly you should make a video on confidence! I love your videos..

people at my school are always like 'woahh your tall!!!' i used to be like 'yeah *sad face*'

I have scoliosis as well. An "S" curve. My biggest curve is 45 degrees :( I had to wear a brace for a couple of months when i was in 8th grade, but I finished growing early so I didn't have to wear it too long. My stomach is the SAME way. One of my arms is longer than the other.. well it looks that way. I'm always in pain too, I know exactly what you mean by waking up barely being able to move. It sucks :( you should make a video about it!

im tall too (about 5'10")... but for the longest time i had trouble appreciating it because guys i liked were always shorter, and i felt awkward and self conscious when i would walk with them. but im glad to see another girl who is tall and embraces it!

I have severe eczema too. :( That's why I hate using eyeshadow in the winter, it makes my dryness on my eyes (one of the places I get the dryness most) sooo noticeable :/ Have you tried using elidel? Doubt I'm spelling it right but it deffinately helps me. Just don't use it regularly, my doctor said it could be cancerous if you do.. I hope I helped though!

Hi Carly. I'm 5'5" and I also have scoliosis. My curve is at a 26 degree angle, but I don't have a back/ back muscle pains...but yeah I thought I'de tell you that, because you're the only beauty guru I know that has scoliosis, and I feel like I can relate to you. Love you! :D

i have scoliosis as well but mine is acually 85%. its very bad, and i breakdown almost everytime i go shopping because it is sooo hard to conceal my back without looking like im drowning in my clothes. i love fashion though! i hate it, but im praying for a miracle<3

@anothergirll Oh girl I'm so sorry, 85 is bad :( You should really look into the surgery. It's helped a lot of people. It may be painful, but it's worth it. I'm at 45 degrees, but I'm waiting until I absolutely need it to get the surgery. My doctor said I shouldn't get worse though.. Hope all is well :)

I love this tag because it just goes to show that everyone has imperfections but can still be beautiful. All the gurus here on YouTube are so lovely and often seemingly perfect so it's refreshing to know that you have the same insecurities (and health problems!) as some of the viewers. Yours particularly was really interesting since you're right that we had NO IDEA you have scoliosis and eczema. I thought you had great style before but this puts a new spin on just how well you dress yourself.
