If I ever make a band, and get famous for the music we make, if we end up like slayer or even worst as blink 182 which I think they're good but just gay in life style, I will totally give my respects to Dio and do the same as kiss metallica and other bands did. Kiss has always been stagnant in the skills area. They sucked pre-1973, they sucked post-1973. Paul is a nice guy, but should have stuck to oil painting.
Paul is awesome....I loved KISS when I was in my teens. Not so much after, heh. But I checked in on occasion and his voice still stood up so damn well, and I love his solo album stuff. The worst part of KISS is Gene Simmons honestly.

Gene/megalomaniac did clam it but any one with eyes can see he use's the "I love you" sign. If you can tell time then you know Coven was first but Dio made it popular in metal. Gene did make the love sign popular amongst pop rockers though. Truth is kiss never did real metal.

I'm glad they picked the best song off "Sonic Boom" to follow their tribute to Dio. However, I would've loved to see them perform a Dio song. Gene was probably too lazy to learn a new song; he seems content to play the same old set-list KISS has been playing since they returned to the make-up. Paul was - and still is - the only reason to attend a KISS show.

@jimjr155 that's right...in the documentary Metal: A Headbanger's Journey, Dio talks about how Gene tries to patent everything, including orange juice...i don't know where that came from, but it was funny...i have made some statements over the last few years that i'd like to follow up on at this time...i am always curious to hear their new albums, i just don't like that they didn't change the makeup for eric and tommy, out of respect to ace and peter...i don't know if i could see them live now..
@jimjr155 I feel you on that, but at the same time Tommy and Eric are incredibly talented writers/players. The makeup, when it all comes down to it, is of least importance. So long as Ace and Peter are still out there jamming and KISS themselves can still kick out the tunes and put on a right good show, I can overlook the makeup and Gene's $_$ eyes. It may not feel quite THE SAME, but it's a hell of a rock n roll experience in itself.

I told him of some of the various heavy metal concerts I'd seen and we spoke of kiss, he had all the respect in the world for all of them he spoke of each member as an asset to the music industry and to the world. Ronnie was a very kind man. The only person he had any hard feelings for was Vivian Campbell. ronnie gave Vivian his brea and Vivian spoke ill of Ronnie!!

There were many songs in those very albums you mention that Ace and Peter didn't even play. Several songs on Destroyer were done by someone other than Ace.
This is really weird back in the 70's the band got the same respond no one liked them..They were considered a bubble gum band that had a selected audience which were young kids who mostly got off on there outfits..And now people still hate them...Myself i didnt care for them.. who would if you had a chance to see Pink Floyd or Deep purple in concert or even CCR..There were to many outstanding bands out there to even consider Kiss..In Toronto i was in a elevator once that played kiss music..
Paul Stanley is a CLASS ACT. He is a respectful, talented artist who has never sold out. Ever seen KISS live? If not, you should. Paul is up there with the likes of Bruce Dickinson and James Hetfield when it comes to great hard rock/metal frontmen.
@robtuohy1 Many people will try to deny that statement, but you are 100% correct. Paul's only problem is that he pushes himself too hard for too long. Touring for over 3 years straight without a break does a number on a guy, especially one who has to wail like Paul every night. But I digress, KISS's more popular tunes may be somewhat simple but it has soul, and Paul Stanley himself is a vocal freight train.
@drquesadilla I couldn't agree with you more. To put on the kind of tours that KISS does (still at their current age) is phenomenal. I first saw KISS in 1982 (Creatures of the Night Tour) and was blown away. I wasn't even a huge KISS fan at the time (my brother was) Paul really floored me by how in shape he was. To be able to move like he did on stage with those high heel boots and to be able to still vocally perform, was incredible. Many bands could learn from Paul how to front a band.

I told him of some of the various heavy metal concerts I'd seen and we spoke of kiss, he had all the respect in the world for all of them he spoke of each member as an asset to the music industry and to the world. Ronnie was a very kind man. The only person he had any hard feelings for was Vivian Campbell. ronnie gave Vivian his brea and Vivian spoke ill of Ronnie!!

This is really weird back in the 70's the band got the same respond no one liked them..They were considered a bubble gum band that had a selected audience which were young kids who mostly got off on there outfits..And now people still hate them...Myself i didnt care for them.. who would if you had a chance to see Pink Floyd or Deep purple in concert or even CCR..There were to many outstanding bands out there to even consider Kiss..In Toronto i was in a elevator once that played kiss music..

Paul Stanley is a CLASS ACT. He is a respectful, talented artist who has never sold out. Ever seen KISS live? If not, you should. Paul is up there with the likes of Bruce Dickinson and James Hetfield when it comes to great hard rock/metal frontmen.

Touring for over 3 years straight without a break does a number on a guy, especially one who has to wail like Paul every night. But I digress, KISS's more popular tunes may be somewhat simple but it has soul, and Paul Stanley himself is a vocal freight train.

@drquesadilla I couldn't agree with you more. To put on the kind of tours that KISS does (still at their current age) is phenomenal. I first saw KISS in 1982 (Creatures of the Night Tour) and was blown away. I wasn't even a huge KISS fan at the time (my brother was) Paul really floored me by how in shape he was. To be able to move like he did on stage with those high heel boots and to be able to still vocally perform, was incredible. Many bands could learn from Paul how to front a band.
