Its only commercial insofar as its as accessible, and theres a familiarity to it that you can't really place. But that's what most of the best music around does....
@xXxDeejayIonxXx no offense, but you've got a lot to learn if your musical influence is a mouse ears wearing wannabe dj..this is not commercial dance music..I wouldn't expect you to get it.
@suprstyln er... this is the commercial side of deep house to be fair. hardly deadmau5 but don't get on your high horse when you're repping fucking hot creations man
@Datapunkk deep house the the catch-all genre tag which is generally applied to underground 4/4 music. we can call it just house if you'd prefer, what would you call it? in terms of this scene, hot creations/dynamic/crosstown/life and death is by far the most commercial side of it - check out the ra top 100 tracks poll if you don't believe me.
@Datapunkk obviously we're miles away from deadmau5 here, i just objected to the sneering tone of @suprstyln when he wrote "I wouldn't expect you to get it", when he's posting a song which is easy to 'get', and is 'got' by loads of people. also, manik's a good producer - check out his 'armies of the night' lp - but i hate hate HATE that fucking samey hot creations bassline that seems to be a prerequisite of releasing a track for this wanky label. manik's better than this
@warehamtn :) Right, now I agree with you. Nothing special about Body High..sounds amazing the first few times but its not a song that makes you go "whoaa, how did he think of that sounds at this moment." MANIK in my opinion is ok. The thing you said about the annoying fucking baseline is exactly why I'm losing interest is this kind of music - which is Nu-Disco mostly. But, of course, most producers these days dont care about genres so much. Which is why we get a mixture of disco, house, techno..

@warehamtn right, so it's not commercial. It's getting a little bit annoying and it's lacking innovation for sure. As far as the genre is concerned. It's more Nu-Disco than anything else in my opinion, with elements of house and techno mixed in it.
@Datapunkk If this is the commercial side, embrace it, any further underground and it's plain and simple broke-ass dj's with a chip on their shoulder. This isn't David Guetta, these guys might be slightly commercial, but they got styyyyyyyelllllll.
@Timmchrispops I didn't say it was. Producers can be good regardless of whether they're broke or not. Creating a good tune doesn't cost a lot. Hot Creations have actually released some amazing music over the last year or so. That's why I liked them. Not because they got style. I could care less about that haha.
Others-- Why should it be a great dancing tune for it be considered a good tune?
@warehamtn You have an extremely valid point. Hot Creations is definitely the more commercial side of house/deep house/nu-disco/indie dance/whatever you wanna label it...perhaps "underground pop"...but it has yet to reach the mainstreamosity of deadmau5...especially over here in the States where the popularization of electronic music has reached a new era because of it's turn to the ultracommercial and the majority believe that House music IS deadmau5 and Dubstep IS Skrillex..
@warehamtn ...and that's all they know..reasons why I retaliated (though improperly) against @xXxDeejayIonxXx for labeling himself a "House" Dj influenced by deadmau5..which made absolutely no sense to me at all...
@xXxDeejayIonxXx how can you dance to this, cant you hear that bassline mate, i cant stop fuckin moooving to this tune, its just far too subtle for you clearly...
@xXxDeejayIonxXx and for someone with commercial knowledge of dance music, they have a commercial knowledge of live dance music. This track, although it may not seem like it through monitor speakers, murders the dancefloor live. That's why I'm happy this genre will never be waterdown in the mainstream. True dance heads will have a unique scene.
@xXxDeejayIonxXx this music is amazing! i moved over to leeds as a student and i have coverted to tech/deep house it is amazing to dance to , you feel the music unlike electro house where everyone is mental here everyone is in a world of their own dancing in an amazing mood! so sexy also!

Always nice to see house/dance not straying too far from it's roots.

Whether it's commercial or not is unimportant, Hot Creations and this mopfront are laying down tune after tune, vibe after vibe.
