Great work man. You know, those stoves really resemble the cookers that the Iditarod racers use to melt snow with using alcohol. I think the rules say they have to be able to melt 3 gals of water. Anyway, love yer stove. Great work....
Biospharms thanks you. This is a great video. Your simple farm tech could save million. Half of the worlds population cooks over a open 3 stone fire useing ten times the fuel and breathing in as much smoke to cook a two packs of Camels. When the SHTF you will save lives. Thank you. We have more videos like this on the Biospharms YT channel and website. Keep up the good work!
I love this, I have all of your videos queued up and I'm working through them. I definitely prefer the videos with commentary. As it clears up the screen making it easier to see what you are doing.
I have subscribed and am urging my friends to watch and do the same.
nice work, I'm enjoying watching your other videos as well. I've been to the third world and these stoves would provide a great benefit to those in rural areas, especially burning sugar cane biomass and bamboo. Thanks for the inspiration.
Lanny great job. So far from all the stove I saw in the net, your design is the best!!! This can really help a lot of poor people here in our country. I wish to help in your funding, but how can I do it?
How can I also get plans so we can replicate? How can we get in touch with you?
I'm very impressed with the economy of fuel for so many cooked beans! There is only one better way and that is the solar cooker oven, such as mine, but when there isnt sufficient sun, one can always find just enough wood scraps. I would like to build one of these stoves.
I'm returning to South Africa soon, you might not know but large numbers of people loose their lives in S.A. from using paraffin stoves in informal settlements. It's not only dangerous but not good for the environment. You could be a life saver. Keep up the good work, you never know who you might meet in life.
Thanks for sharing this valuable knowledge. Our organsition supports children's centers in Kenya and have been looking for a cheap effective and affordable method of cooking for the last 7years. We will use this information to build a similar stove when we travel this autumn. Thanks for the great job. ASNATE SANA !
Lanny, whether you make a lot of money from this or not, you're still a genius. Many highly intelligent people invent stuff like this for the thrill of success, not monetary gain. Thanks for your innovations.
have you ever thought of an efficient way to use this stove as a heater? I go to University of Alaska Anchorage, and my engineering group is working on a project to actually create a gasifier heater, fueled by newspaper, paper, and wood chips.
I am interested in making this for our away from home cooking. Can you show us haw to recreate this?

Cool design, but I am just wondering if you ate the beans?

This a great concept and most promising.
I wonder where you get the pails that fit inside each other. All the pails I have looked for are the same size.

@lannyplans You probably get this question all the time:
Do you build any to sell?

good work Lanny! Do you have blueprints availible?
AlecBGreen 4 years ago
what kind of paint did you use?
also could you insulate the sides with straw.
you can cast paperpulp in rings on the sides to retain heat too.

I enjoyed this new video a lot. Your stove design is both inspired and backed with science/testing/documentation, a powerful combination.
Good work on the narration and editing.
All the best mate, keep up the good work and I look forward to future videos.
