  • Great Video! I just bit the bullet and bought a couple of plastic trash cans with lids for $9 a piece. :) the only modification they required was holes drilled in them for aereation. I think they will be ok. :)

  • this is one of the BEST videos I have seen.. I am going to get started degrading this afternoon. I am going to add a box with 4 wheel on top of it, that it sits on in place.. thank you so much, and God Bless

  • now go out there and degrade. lol.

  • How Rude.

  • nice barrel should post are you a grade school teacher sounds like you are talking to kids. Learn to use a real man's tools.you'll slice your hand using a knife.

  • Thanks for posting this great tutorial. I've shared it on my Facebook profile. As the others have said, I would like to know if you've made some sort of stand for your composter so it can be spun in place. I would think that would be fairly simple, but I'd love to see if you or someone else has a tutorial about building such a stand. God bless you! :)

  • Good job but same comment as kevin--how do you tumble the composter? A lot of the value of these it seems to me is the ability to roll the unit "in place" that is, in some kind of frame.

  • The roller doesn't require much space, even without a frame. Roll it one direction, sprinkle the contents, add some more material, roll it back. Works for me!

  • GREAT video! 5 stars! A handle on the outside of the hatch might make opening it easier, too. =^[.]^=

  • Great idea, BUT... until I get it onto a frame, a full compost barrel is quite heavy, and while rolling it back and forth in the back yard, the handle would hinder the roll..

  • I love this... BUT! Is there a frame that it sits or rides on, or is just rolled around the yard...

  • No frame. At some point I may build a frame, but until then I just roll it.
