I love Freddie so much.

My bf has Aids, he is 16, sadly he got it through something that wasn't even his fault. :-/

He has medication, and has been told that with the current standard, he can expect to live until around age 60.

I only wish those medications were available when Freddie was diagnosed, he would have still been performing his amazing songs stronger than ever right now. :-( RIP <3

And yeah you are certainly right, he sometimes gets depressed about it, seeing as it wasn't his fault, but i remind him, yes its not nice, but at least you can expect to live until 60 with it, when some children in Africa are not even making 20 because of it, because there are no medications for it over there.

@paypointpal The medications were available. Unfortunately, By the time Freddie was diagnosed he had full blown AIDS, not HIV. He also chose to stop taking the medications. His BF Jim Hutton was tested positive for HIV (He' was pretty sure he contracted it from Freddie) and he didn't die till last year and even then,it wasn't from the disease. He died from a smoking related illness.

My Boyfriend has full blown Aids too, he only found out he had it in 2010, so he had it for a long time before this, but never knew, it wasn't his own fault though as to how he got it.

And yeah, it sometimes gets to my bf, because it wasn't his fault, it wasn't the usual ''Sleeping around'' or needle use.

So on some days when he isn't feeling too well (Due to the side effects of medication) he gets upset over it.

But they said the side effects should settle down soon, once his body gets used to them, so hopefully i will see him happy again soon. :-)

That and back then there really was no hope. The meds just gave you a little more time,but what's the point of having that time if you feel like crap and can't do anything.Scientists are getting very close to a cure and vaccines. So, At least there is hope now.

@CRBjeep Yeah i can understand that, the medication my bf was on were giving him bad side effects, so they had to change them, there was a period of a few weeks where he wasn't taking any, and he said it was the best he felt in ages, but that's just it, feel good, and not have long left, or take medication and live a long life. At the moment they are still trying to find the best thing for my bf so he doesn't have bad side effects. But yeah, i read they are close to a cure.
