  • Pocas veces se pueden escuchar canciones de tanta calidad como esta, a todos los que les gusta esta cancion no puedo mas que decirles, felicidades, tu gusto en musica es exquisito e incomprendido

  • ahhh me mata ese bajo diabolico

  • Whenever I heard this song, friends of mine from high school would be traveling up the the mountain valleys of Colorado, near Pueblo and Colorado Springs. Exploring deep into mountain valleys and even mapped caves, this was the song I always remembered when exploring Colorado...it was just You, the Night, and the Music. I couldn't ask for anything more! Beautiful!!!

  • I am so deeply moved that new generations of people listen to Tones on Tail and appreciate its beauty.

  • got me thru the 80's....lo-worship it

  • Whoa this is so Awesome. I was listening to this when everyone else was listening to Guns and Roses and Motley Crue! It was so nice to escape into Bauhaus, Tones on Tail, and Love and Rockets Music!

  • @Krsna93 and now we're listening to this while everyone else is listening to...well I don't really know what they're listening to but it's probably not this.

  • Classic pop. Always loved it !

  • NICE JOB!

  • One of my favorites. Great track, never gets old.

  • Thank you so much for the track...LOVE IT!!!!

  • ..think its the whiskey talkin

  • This was released before 1987, Daniel Ash and David J were well into Love and Rockets by then. This song isn't romantic. Its headlong into a night of drunken sadness. Waking up to an empty house at 4am with a candle flickering and gasping for its last light.

  • @whitejellyfungus I know about that, but I cannot change the video now. I never though of this song as a romantic one. I prefer your cenario as well.

  • I think it's... great?

  • the video is also great

  • Beautiful song.

  • great song, yeah it's older than the year stated...

i love how the frame jitter goes great with the hihat

  • What are these photo's from? They are amazing.

  • Thank you! This is Lovely!

  • For some reason I feel like having intercourse.

  • This recording is older than the YT title suggests. The band ended in 1984. This track was released on a vinyl/cassette album in 1985. It was later included on the 1987 Night Music CD.

  • Love TOT...thanks!

  • Great music, and also brilliant work, many thanx lafolie =)

  • One of the best Instrumentals to ever pass through the 80's... sublime )

  • gotta love technology ...i remember when this song came out and damn...couldnt find it anywhere but now we can..cool

  • gotta admit thats a pretty good video.

  • the wickedest instrumental ever. love tripping out to this one...

  • I love this song-- perfect for night driving (when the streets are empty) in my opinion. I, too, imagined something different to go along with this song, but it was still nice to see your interpretation of it :]

  • Great song! But I would really love to see "Twist" on here that song is truly amazing.

  • 1987? Sorry mate, didn't care for the video. Probably because I remember tripping listening to this song back in the 80's when I was in College and created different imagery in my head back then.

  • that's ok, thank you for your honesty. well.. i'm curious.. what imagery did you create while listening to this song..?

  • I love the imagery you posted for this, but I am curious...what DID people imagine to this song??? Personally, I imagined a tryst with my boyfriend at the time...sigh....

  • No sexual imagery involved. No violent imagery (as displayed by the guy and the gun).

If you want to see some good adaptations IMO of a good job matching videos to TOT go see nyomythus.

  • Thanks...I'll check it out!

  • perfect video for a perfect song

  • a(n unknown) masterpiece

  • There's nothing like listening to this track through headphones at night when it's all dark and quiet, especially while going for a walk. It paints an amazing nighttime landscape in your head.

  • wanna fly? listen to this

    atmospheric dream

  • Sorry - I checked and this lists as 1985! I don't think they recorded that year...only released. Cheers again for the nice montage!

  • Thank you for the information. I'm really glad you liked the montage. I love this song, it is indeed a very beautiful instrumental..!

  • Great posting. This is a beautiful instrumental that really underscores the brilliance of the TOT sound. This song would have had to come out between 82 and 84, those were the active dates for the band. Daniel & Kevin left to form Love & Rockets after that...leaving poor Glenn Campling to his own devices. Supposedly, Daniel found Glenn's guitar sound monotonous! Go figure.

  • Glenn's bass guitar? Ash was the guitarist.

  • Yes scurvy, you're right...Glenn's bass playing. Either way, I guess Mr. Ash found it monotonous. Unfortunately, I don't remember the source that I read with this info, but it didn't criticize his synth playing or anything. It was specifically "guitar" (to the best of my recollection). I love the bass lines in TOT, and all of their instrumentation. I've long puzzled over their demise...any thoughts?

  • Only possibility I can think of is that D. Ash just missed having David J in the studio. Glenn may be fine (the bass on this song is great, love the slap in a goth song), but probably Daniel just grooved with David a little better.

  • That's a good assessment, scurvy. You can't fault Mr. Ash for choosing David J. It just seems TOT had their own sound and I wish they'd explored it more before disbanding.

  • Cool video, but the song dident come out in '87.

  • thanks :) well, the album came out in 87, when was the song released?

  • they released it first in '85 on the tones on tail LP

  • for a while I thought this was a video until I read your description. Good job. love this song. love your video.

  • thank you :)

  • love this song!

  • I used to think I was the only person other than Daniel Ash who knew about Tones on Tails. Thx for this.

  • A couple of typos there... sorry!

  • nice moody slide show... I have always liked this track... you have pickyed some good images to go with it. The way the bump and fuzz works great with the music.

  • thank you! I think you really felt what I (and also the music itself) was trying to pass on. it is an amazing track indeed

  • this song just started running in my head about a month ago and I had to track it down. Thanks!

  • thank you all, i'm glad you enjoyed it :)
