i'm looking for a kind of slow-churning my bloody valentine kinda sound and i was wondering if anyone knows if this pedal can do it. most of the vibrato in this video is quite fast and i can't tell if it can go really slowly, any help?
@vintagedrgonzo that sort of swirling effect was kevin strumming chords and using the whammy bar on his fender jazzmaster straight into his amp. the reason the jazzmaster is important is cos the trem bar is longer and makes strumming chords naturally while using it much easier than say a strat
I just got mine in and if you want to use it for any clean tone then don't waste your time and money. And it is very noisy and adds a brittle highend to your tone. I love EHX but this one was a bust.
does this have tap tempo or does it just react with how hard/fast your playing? i'm just going with the light flickering at different tempos all the time
Sweet Doors Andy! Your video's are good for showing the settings on the effect being demoed, but I would like to see a split screen w/ the guitar player on the other half of the screen. Just a suggestion...
I own this pedal (have for 3 yrs) and can attest to it's great sound & versatility- the real tubes give it a great warmth. Love it & highly recomend it.
I'm looking for a decent tremolo pedal for a very long time.
I haven't tested one yet, but I'm a bit confused cause there are so many tremolo good tremolo pedals. I did some research and i think i've found the best ones: Wiggler, Guyatone VT-X, Marshall Vibratrem, Vox VibraVox and maybe the MXR stereo tremolo.
If anyone does have one of these pedals, please let me know if you like them, how do sound like etc.
I have a Tube Zipper... I have to admit, they are pretty big. They don't just make them like that for the sake of it, though. They have to be that big because of the tubes and all the attendant circuitry.
If you don't like it, then go for something more compact, but it probably won't sound as good.
As an electronics enthusiast, I can tell you that the circuit in one of these things occupies almost the entire chasis. Tubes require a complex power circuit to operate...
Thanks for finally posted this I am kind of curious about one thing and that is can you get somewhat of cross of vibrato and Tremolo by setting it in the middle for some Creedence Clearwater sound?
Heavenly pedal, extraordinary choice of tunes and settings, impressive insight to its strengths and capabilities... well done once again! 5 stars from me to the demonstration and to the demo itself.
can you guys email me the next time you get one of those marshall slash heads in and make a demo of it please. i tryed buying it from you once but it was gone

@vintagedrgonzo Fuzz, Reverb and a Jaguar guitar should do it. This pedal, not so much.

@gtrslgr Are you using Single coil or Humbuckers?? Are you also using an EQ before the wiggler??

jakeyboy2929 2 years ago
I believe the LED is only affected by the Rate knob setting combined with the Vibrato/Tremolo setting. No tap unfortunately.
themancable 2 years ago
That's the framerate of the camera and flickering of the light being out of balance.
The light flickers at a constant speed.
m0joGriffin 2 years ago
@jakeyboy2929 Set and forget with the Rate and Intensity knobs. Although it CAN be modded for expression input...

@LowEnder81 Really? I'd like to know how to. It'd save me a lot of money having to buy a Rotovibe.

Mine was heavily used for about 4 years, then died.
I replaces the valves, it started working, but with some intense electric shocks.
I just cleaned it and tweaked the valve seatings and it still gave me electric shocks.. a final attempt involved 4-5 firm hits against the floor.
Now working perfectly !

They'd sell more pedals if their products weren't such space hogs. Two of their units take up 2/3 of the pedal board.

Yeah, there's a transformer and stuff in there to get the tubes up to the right (high!) voltage. So they're big for a reason.
Besides, I like big pedals :D I have a huge flightcase so I don't really care about space .. and it just has more mojo!
