  • The BEST BLACK SWAN ever!!!

  • This seems somehow unaffecting, to me. Partly, I prefer the other Odile variation music (maybe just 'cause it's what I grew up with), but also this just doesn't have the essence of Odile, for me. I have less and less patience for ballet that doesn't touch my soul, even when expertly executed, as here.

  • Adoro esse video....

    muito linda.......

  • I love the swan lake but i am embarressed to admit i dont really know the story line;

  • yes this is not Bolshoi. the black swan pas de demux coda and variations are totally different from the russian version

  • what is the specific name of this piece/song? i love it

  • @canadacrazy101 , is a variation, included in the pass the six, moderato assai, Intrada. i found the complete ballet here

    elcuervolopez.blogspot.com/2009/02/tchaikovsky-el-lago-de-los-cisnes.html

the page are in spanish but click on

    "AQUI" ( Here)

    hope you liked! thats beautiful!!

sorry for the bad english n.n

  • can anyone tell me who choreographed this?? i really need to know. :P

  • boooooring!!

  • i just love her in this variation. i keep watching it over and over. best odile in the world :)

  • Honestly I have to say that I like Russian style ballet instead of French or American. I was always getting in trouble in class for using Russian technique instead of American lol.

I love ther

  • zakharova's a breath-taking dancer, there's no doubt about that. but sometimes i just think her whole performances are about getting her legs next to her ears and over-splitting. the first few times i saw her dance i was absolutely entranced but i think sometimes her extensions detract from the ballet as a performance, instead turning it into a show of pyrotechnical ability.

  • @jinpitakki33 I think if you watch her Giselle you see her much better as a performer, she really shows off her acting skills if you look for the mad scene with Roberto Bolle.

  • @ParanoidAndroidDA Hmmm... I have actually seen that before but my favourite Giselle of all time probably has to be Makarova. Zakharova couldn't make me cry, and I was just staring at her legs the whole time... :/ sorry.

  • @jinpitakki33 Bullshit ! Makarova was at her best as Odete ! Zakharova's best part would be as the Dying Swan since she is so Anorexic she looks like a swan dying of starvation . Ha ha ha ha ha Zakharova is so skinny she has to run around in the shower in order to get wet ! ha ha ha ha Jesus! Somebody throw Svetlana a Burger for crying out loud !! Sorry but I am a Murphy Fan

  • @nicktesla45 woah woah woah, calm down. i wasn't saying makarova's best was giselle, i was saying makarova (for me) was THE best giselle. and i am an ABSOLUTE murphy fan. she's my favourite dancer.

  • I prefer Svetlana over Polina in this role...Svetlana really gets into the part of odile.

  • She just does whatever she wants... but hey. who wouldn't if they had a body like hers haha

  • THIS IS NOT HER VARIATION! This is just a solo dance that tchaikovsky wrote and it was NOT originally her variation piece!

  • @loulie1997 No, this is Odile's ORIGINAL variation. The best known variation that is performed today by almost every ballet company is Pierina Legnani's variation from the 1895 revival, which was orchestrated by R. Drigo from Tchaikovsky's "L'Espiègle."

  • @theamazingsoter Really!?! Wow... I did not know that.... I like the other one better... thanks for sharing! :)

  • @theamazingsoter Thanks for the info, I was wondering actually wich one would be the original, but I had the feeling that it was this one, which I honestly prefer a thousand times, this music is perfect for Odile, so hypnotizing and with some evil touch on it, and you gotta love the desperate rush of music at the end, the other variation is sooooo doll that it bores me, SO NOT ODILE!!

  • BEAUTIFUL! :)))

  • much better than the stiff Murphy.... this is the true seducing from Odile....

  • What if Polina Semionova's Odile and Svetlana Zakharova's Odette were in 1 dancer. That would be a miracle Swan Queen

  • @Lauriefishbone Oh please,Semionova is ridiculous!

  • @Lauriefishbone i was just thinking that! I saw Polina last month and her Odile is much better than her Odette

  • @Lauriefishbone watch?v=A_A5KTEC6Zg look at this. this one's polina semionova. the setting, the queen, rothbart.. do you find any curious similarity? prince siegfried in THAT vid is also roberto bolle and the theatre is also la scala - same as THIS video. could it be? polina and svetlana both played odile in this particular gala? if it's yes then, I'm doomed cause I missed it ;)

  • @TheChaiTeaLatte Well, dancers switch roles often, so I don''t think this was in one show. I think it's the same ballet, but in different nights/

  • @Lauriefishbone I actually dislike Svetlana's Odette, she's just not able to dance delicate and vulnerable enough.

  • She is a technical goddess, but... such a bad actress. Perfect, but no cold, no emotions or charm.

  • that's not Bolshoi ballet!! That was at La Scala (Milan) here Zakharova is with Roberto Bolle. The choreography is by Burmeister

  • Never seen this choreography before! Not sure I like it to watch but looks like it would be fun to dance :)

  • @blondebunhead

I don't like it either. But I wish more dancers would perform this variation instead!
