PLJEVLJA -- Local police have removed a Serbian flag from the premises of a Serb cultural center in Pljevlja, northern Montenegro.

The Srpske Novine web portal is reporting today that a group of policemen first on Thursday asked that the flag be urgently removed, and said the demand came because it was the flag of another country.

When the center workers refused to obey, the policemen, backed up by local firemen, removed the flag.
