Wow Ive been trying to beat this challenge over the last few days (yes its taken me this long to care about beating the challenge tower) I just cant get past mileena i beat goro and kintaro both flawless and mileena takes about 70% of my health before I get to kahn. The easiest of the 4 enemies gives me the most problems. I use ermac and I just cant beat mileena with out block bc even tho its the cpu I like to bait and punish mileena and its near impossible without block for me

@imjustsaying85 When I say the arcade stick is over rated, it does not mean that it is completely useless. Using an arcade stick can give a player an advantage if the players knows how to use utilize it correctly. Personally, I would rather use a PS3 controller, but that does not mean an arcade stick is useless. It just means my personal preference is the PS3 controller.

@Energyone Arcade sticks for MK9, especially the MK themed sticks, are totally worthless. If the game had SRK motions or even Fireball motions its would make sense, but its very simple inputs and with the game remembering input strings plinking isnt needed either.

@Energyone Down, Towards or Down, Away are not Fireball motions. Never in any input in this game is Diagonal a necessary part of any input. If you don't believe me just try it out. As a Street Fighter player myself i find it natural to roll the inputs even though its completely unnecessary.

@DeliriumOnSiren That is correct - although I have yet to meet anyone retarded enough to hit down, release, then move their thumb to the forward direction and press and release that - although it is cute to make an argument out of it. Everyone that does not use a Hitbox rolls.

@TylerLantern maybe for MK they are optional, since i also play it on dual shock with no problems. i do think there are some techniques in other games such as SSFIV that require arcade sticks i.e plinking. i could be wrong though, and it could be a whole marketing scheme lol.

@TylerLantern I do well with a 360 pad (i know), but the pad is too inaccurate. Even a new one sometimes does an up input even though you didn't want it too. Played MK on a PS3 yesterday couldn't get used to that so easily but after a few matches i started to get the hang of it. All in all it's just a matter of getting used to it. I can see why arcade sticks are overrated, although i should try first.
