Gotta love Farmer Jones with the XXX bottle. Loved your interpretation, very creative. More people should see this video but it's probably too dangerous eh comrade?
Not bad, however Orwell never renounced Socialism, he died an enemy of Stalinism and an advocate of Democratic-Socialism, he also served in the POUM during the Spanish Civil War.
Animal Farm is a book on a third grade level, though, college students read it because you have to be older to really understand the message. It's a brilliant book.
good, but many misleading mistakes makes this video not a good guidance. so you have to understand or have read the book to understand that the old horse is boxer, the old pig dies in his sleep three days later. the pigs that plays card games with the humans. and first off all why did napoleon and squeeler change the law. and why did the dogs and other animals symphasiese with napoleon?
Because they made propaganda, every time someone wanted to criticize Napoleon, they yelled that Jones would come back, and the dogs was raised by Napoleon, because Jones killed their mother.
This is excellent. I have just read the book, and while some key episodes for me are missing, this animation will help me to remember the book.
There is nothing misleading about animation, and I highly recommend it for teaching purposes, such as introducing the book to a class. But I would like to see more emphasis on the pigs keeping the milk and apples and then walking on two legs at the end -- like others.
Thanks for posting, I suggest 1984 for the next one
if you have read the preface to animal farm, you will find, that at the time of writing it, he had not renounced it, in fact ive only ever found him to support democratic socialism, perhaps you could find something he's written that shows him renouncing it. you'll only find the preface in some editions of the book as it was censored. its well worth looking for though.
Hmm... astonishingly basic and slightly misleading of the real plot and also of Orwell's intentions in the book, but fair enough.
Some of the fairly critical plot pieces are also missed out (such as Boxer regretting killing the stable boy, amongst other things), sadly, but c'est la vie, I suppose.
This would be excellent for teaching small children about Animal Farm, mind, and it would make a fine piece of edutainment for younger people before they read the text themselves.
A good point, with the time limitations your work was actually pretty excellent, and it's just long enough to get across the main points without small children being bored and fidgetting and ignoring what's going on etc.
As I said, there isn't much on Boxer being regretful over killing the stable boy, but then caring less when the farm is attacked a second time, although I suppose this isn't a key element to the plot and you got the main body of the work pretty much spot-on, so well done!

why does the narrator call george orwell a one time socialist
rafflespeko 5 years ago
Because he stared out as a Socialist and then later renounced it.

It was difficult to condese the book to under 10 minutes. I don't see how it is misleading of Orwell's intentions of the plot, though.
Glad you liked it !
