  • i grew up in canada and have lived in the US since i was 10. it's interesting to see that canadian shows like ghostwriter featured a cast where kids of all ethnic backgrounds are friends. the only shows in the US with black people (fresh prince, family matters, my brother and me, cosby show) were almost exclusively black and, accordingly, all the shows with white people were exclusively white. i consider myself an american and love the US but i never truly felt the racial divide til moving here.

  • I think I read somewhere that Ghostwriter was a former slave, and one of Jamal's ancestors. That is why he was in Jamal's basement.

  • 2:31 Calling ROT13 a "secret" code amuses me. Makes sense, though -- they ARE dealing with a bunch of kids. Even fits with the "super-losers" ending.

  • But back to ghostwriter. You don't see it now but in future cases when tha gang gets stuck somewhere, Ghost will put them up on something to where you have to be from the 1920's to know. Then the last season. Where Ghost travels between Brooklyn 1995 back to Brooklyn 1920 something. In the same house Jamal lives in. His cuzzin who comes later can talk to him. It gets deep

  • Let me put y'all on to ghostwriter all I know is that spirit is from the 1920's or so. I use to watch this as a kid, matter of fact it takes place in Fort Greene. My place of birth and where I was raised. My classmates and I used to try and solve some cases and see who solves it first.

  • well we know the ghost's name wasn't kellog!

  • Well uh, I'm going to take this young white girl upstairs and uh.......

  • wait, how come there's only 3 parts?! where are the rest??

  • @Gmooreisawesome Yeaah! But the comments are epicly fucking awesome though!

  • i hate growing up sometimes...back then when jamal told his gma that he and lenny would be going upstairs you'd think nothing of it...now if it was my Grandmother she'd say something like "oh hell naw...i know what you're gonna do and it has nothing to do with a computer...actin like your short ass is grown..now go upstairs BY YOURSELF jamal...and you!!! ya lil hussy get to steppin you lil skank" lol

  • @prophetkillz LMAO!!!!!!! I know what you mean...my mom was the same way!

  • @razlinrazlan if you still haven't found it, it's cause there is none. It is part 2 of the next day's series. Try it and it will be the next one in the section.

  • did they have computers in 92?

  • Yea they were just really basic. They just didn't have the internet.

  • Woah, his grandma sure went to the store fast...lol

  • GhostWriter: Hello children would you like to meet sometime for ice cream and candy in my van?

    Haha, I love Jamal.

  • that's real nice giving somepedo your info. and how could she be back from the grocery store, make snakes AND change in 1 min?

  • from 3:48 to 4:44 she went to the store,came back,made them a snack,and changed clothes...what a fucking LIE!!

  • Yeah, that is messed up. LOL

  • You know, this show seemed so much better when I was younger. Looking back at it, the kids seem a lot less intelligent.

It's still a classic, though. Nothing beats 90s television...it's at least better than the shows on today.

  • amen brother

  • Definitely! I'm so tired of all these reality shows that is brainwashing so many young children.

  • I hear ya. Once upon a time they wanted to educate us to prepare us for the future. Now they just want to prepare future consumers to feed the war machine.

    *sigh*

  • That is true about what you said.

  • LOL yeah. I liked educational shows like Arthur & Magic school bus, Full House, The good old days I was like 10. Ha ha.

  • @Nightstalkertim Particularly the ones that start with A and end with merican Idol.

  • (super delayed response @Nightstalkertim ) i'm sure i once read somewhere it was meant as an educational show, hence the slow talking/emphasis on writing...

  • @lilmissnerdfighter Yeah, that makes sense. I was just talking more about the shift in perspective.

  • @Nightstalkertim I know. It takes them forever to get things figured out! Hello, write the answer down, silly children. Of course you can't read the message, it's all jarbled! No, that's not ancient Greek or Russian, the letters are "normal"! I do love this show though.

  • @Nightstalkertim its a pbs kids show. the kids are never really that inteligent because the viewers have to be. xD

  • "It's writing to us, maybe we should write back!"

    UH DUUUUUUH.

How about you guys use your mind and not shout at the computer.

  • "Looks like Greek or Russian."

    ... right. :P

Or maybe it's "meeting friday september twelfth the final secret ceremony begins renroc yvan dray [corner navy yard]" in Rot13.

  • Where going to go upstairs and im gonna work on that ass for a while.

  • AHh good old brOoklyn in the earlY 90'S

  • classic show! i wish it was on dvd, samual jackson rocks, even tho hes not a main character..

  • LOL how slow can you go (typing).

  • he look like a little LeVar Burton 2:01

  • Jimmy Jam mmmm lol;)

  • now that there is wikipedia Ghostwriter doesn't ask such dumb questions...he just gets the answers wrong.

  • I loved this show as a kid. It's kinda freaky watching it now though. I wouldn't want any kids i know writtting to an anonymous person on a computer screen where they live, etc. But it was back in the day before anyone had the net at home.

  • Who are you? Don't you know what cornflakes are? This show is SO AWESOME.

  • very good!!!

  • Very bad acting, but I still use to LOVE this show. =]

  • Look for the one that says: Ghost Story - Part 2 (1of3)

  • I also wish someone would post part 4 of this XP

  • Look for the one that says: Ghost Story - Part 2 (1of3)

  • Gosh what bunch of slows, I mean it's obvious the ghost wants you type back on the computer XD It was making me mad, how they kept saying 'talk to us!!'

Omega320 Why your nick is the same as me ?

You mean why is your name the same as me? WHo cares! I want to know if the rest of this finally came out.

  • Nevermind I found it.

  • this show bring back memories

  • CAN SOMEBODY PUT GHOST STORY PART 4

  • Lol, 4:05 "Hey, its writing again!" NO FUCKING SHIT, SHERLOCK! Thanks for stating the obvious. I also thought it was funny how right before that they asked it like 10 questions and then stopped right as it started to type again.

  • Trivia: Part 1 ends and Part 2 starts at about 4:30

  • Blaze Berdahl played Lenni Frazier, she was Ellie Creed in the 1989 movie Pet Sematary.

  • For those looking for more, davinp posted part 2 and might post more.

  • Yes, I will post all through part 5 slowly.

  • WHERES PART 4?!?!? =[

  • Does anyone have the tape or can buy it on Amazon, upload the rest on youtube, and make hundreds of people happy??

  • Sounds like a great job for YOU. Buy it yourself and quit griping. People go through the trouble of uploading videos and all they get is ungrateful complainers.

  • the entire eposide has been posted on ttoktv as a bittorrent. I've downloaded it and I will look into uploading it to my youtube account

  • grandma jenkins sure did get back from the store awfully fast...get it girl!!!! hahaha i smell a time lapse...haha

how come she was back at the door, offering them snacks?!

  • when is there going to be the rest of the eps?

  • 4:29 - freaking AMAZING music

  • in retrospect, around the 7 minute mark, i think it's safe to say that this was all of our first "instant messaging" experience EVER, lol.

    miss this show.

  • lol!

  • lmao I love Grandma Jenkins though I don't think my grandma would let me take girls to my room in 7th grade.

  • that is some amazing child star acting. first classs red carpet fame n glory.
